We always go here when we are skiing at Sunday River. The food is very good, we started with the mussels, huge portion, excellent. One thing that would have made it even better would have been Italian bread to dunk in the delicious sauce. The chicken parmesan and Sunday dinner both great. Service and atmosphere very good.
Fantastic as always! My wife and I always look forward to our next evening at 22 Broad and tonight did not disappoint.
Our table of eight was Seated in an upstairs small room. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was traditional Italian but very tasty. Desserts were delicious. I would go back my next visit to Bethel.
Pamela is always wonderful.
The food was good, service excellent. We will return next year when we return to the area.
The sauces are great! A true Italian restaurant not to be missed. We have enjoyed quite a few special occasions at this lovely place.
This was our third or fourth visit. We dine at 22 Broad Street at least once each time we visit Bethel, which is about once a year. This year the food was at least very good, which it always is. Our server was helpful and efficient. We dropped a star for ambience only because we had a reservation on a busy night and got seated in a small porch-like room near the entrance, rather than in the beautiful main rooms. This space was cold and drab and it detracted a bit from our experience. Given the option to wait a few minutes for a table in the main rooms, we would have chosen to do so. This issue will not deter us from our continuing to patronize Bethel's finest restaurant.
22 Broad Street has been our go-to restaurant when skiing at Sunday River. I'd always go for the braciole. This experience was below standard. Very long wait for entrees, when they arrived they were hot, except the braciole was luck warm. Waiter was surly.
Great food, nice atmosphere. The room we were in was a bit loud but it was really the other guests. Highly recommend.
Service was pleasant, but slower than we were expecting. Food was good, but not great.
Food was not very well-prepared. Eggplant dish was dry and over seasoned and garlic burned, little sauce on shrimp scampi.
The main dining room has a fireplace and we sat at a table next to the fire. This made for a quiet and romantic dining experience! The service was awesome. We had the beef carpaccio which was excellent followed by a Haddock with crab and shrimp stuffing and topped with a dill sauce. There was too much bread stuffing for my liking but it was delicious and the dill sauce was lovely.
I would definitely go back again if I am in the area.
Real fire, cozy tables, fantastic “simple” Italian , awesome service from Luci!! Never a disappointment. You have to be pretty miserable to not enjoy yourself at this fine establishment.
Every was good just a bit pricey. Stay away from the Clams Casino & the Crispy Eggplant Lasagna.
We made a reservation for 22 Broad st for my sons birthday. When making the reservation we checked the box that it was for a special occasion which was a birthday. We arrived and they seated us in a small dining area near the bar, which was drafty and loud . We requested to be on the other side in the main dining room which they were ablle to accommodate with a little hesitancy. I told the hostess that we were there for a birthday dinner and requested that when we order dessert that they bring with candle. She said she would speak with wait staff to ensure they did that. Dinner and the service was quite good, but when dessert arrived there was no mention of birthday and no candles. He was disappointed and so was I. All in all the overall dining experience was good, but I do feel they could improve their customer experience. With only two fine dining restaurants in town, they have no shortage of people willing to spend money on a nice meal so I hope they make some effort to improve this aspect of their business
We’ve dined here several times before and love the atmosphere and the food is typically very good. I had the shrimp scampi and it was tasteless so needless to say I was disappointed but my husband and daughter liked their dishes ( chicken Marsala and sirloin steak). Overall it’s a good place and I will be back.
One of my favorite places. The food is excellent. The chef is willing to accommodate special requests. The service is friendly, prompt and professional.
Love this place. We go often when we are up at Sunday River
Warm, inviting atmosphere. Very gracious hosts and attentive service. I liked the fact that vegetables were offered as a side to the Italian dishes and that pasta was an option. Delicious piccata!
We were there to celebrate a job promotion and going away party. The server charged the wrong items on several peoples bills. It took forever to get her attention to sort it out. She never acknowledged the celebration to the party
WONDERFUL DINNER AND ATMOSPHERE. A must stop if you are in the area.
Celebrated my husbands birthday and it was great! Pretty busy but staff was very attentive.
There for celebrating January 1 new decade, a 70th birthday and a 21st anniversary. The best meal we’ve had in Bethel so far this season. Attentive server but bartender slipped up slightly on the drink order. Lovely atmosphere and comfortable to savor your company over coffee.
Was a great evening dining with friends
This was our 3rd New Year’s Eve visit as couples at 22 Broad Street. They had a special New Year’s Eve menu that pleased all four people in our party! The food was hands down awesome! I can’t wait to go back to try their regular menu to order something with the red tomato sauce on it! This sauce was incredible! Our server was a little rough around the edges, but adequate enough to leave us with an overall positive experience.
This was our second New Year’s Eve thot we have spent at 22 Broad - we really enjoyed everything about our experience.
We arrived on time for 5:30 pm reservation. The restaurant was empty. We were seated alone in a small upstairs room. If we wanted to eat alone in the attic we would have stayed home.
Was in town one night and wanted some good honey meal. This place was perfect. They get the chicken parm right. It’s massive and delicious.
We have eaten here a few times. The food is good, the service is slow, but it seems to be because the kitchen is slow. Our server was great and very attentive.
Food was great service was awful
Everything was wonderful! It is very family friendly !
A great night!
The head chef was wonderful to meet, food was fabulous. Service was very friendly. Restaurant was clean, nicely lite, well decorated and maintained.
Fantastic food excellent service
Good service ... great food
Excellent service and food! I have food allergies and the staff was very knowledgeable and happy to accommodate my needs.
This was our 4th visit and it’s always delicious and cozy. We had chicken piccata and Fettuccini and martinis. Although the martinis are a hit pricy for Bethel, we splurged. We recommend this spot when you’re in Bethel.
As usual the restaurant doesn’t disappoint. It was a busy night but the order of food coming to our table was nice and not rushed. The food as always is plentiful and good.
As always, a delicious meal and great service! Our server Pamela was great! Thank you!! We’ll definitively be back! Best restaurant in Bethel!
Love this place will come back next time I’m up at SundayRivee
