We had four people in our party, all of whom ordered something different. The good news is that everyone was very pleased with the dishes that they ordered. The oyster selection is outstanding to say the least.
Our server did a marvelous job for my table even accommodating tasting request from the bar of their microbrews.
I put this experience down as one of the top three restaurants in Augusta and a little pricy but I highly recommend Abel Brown's.
The food was superb and our waitress Jennifer was amazing. We definitely recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience with great quality food.
The Ribeye was outstanding, perfectly cooked!!
Good food, good service.
As always our meal was fabulous from beginning to end.
Delicious food and great service
I would recommend the raw oysters (especially the ones from Virginia), and I would recommend the drinks and dessert. Our main entrees were "ok" (not bad, but certainly not the best we've had).
Nice evening out with my sisters to celebrate a birthday. Excellent service (Betsy was our server) and delicious food options. Great appetizers along with a “to die for” Key-lime pie in a mason jar for dessert! Highly recommend Abel Brown.
As always food and service were excellent. Our favorite go to place.
Very friendly staff. Food was great. Great for a date.
Great staff and very consistant. Great food, great service, great everything. Can't beat it. Blake is a wonderful waiter!!!!
It was okay. The food tasted over done. The service was good but we never got bread. It was just okay experience not worth it for the price you pay.
Thank you for having halibut❤️❤️❤️. We love you Rockefeller’s ❤️❤️❤️. The staff is always outstanding.
Not very good, and not really trying. Go to Edgar's or Cadwaller's. The Shrimp and Grits were, well, some shrimp on top of some grits - technically correct, I suppose, but not really what we mean by Shrimp and Grits. The ribeye, advertised as the best steak we will ever taste, wasn't even the best I had this week. Either to to Texas Roadhouse FOUR times or add about $7 and go to Ruth's Chris. The Salmon a neighboring party was having was reportedly very good and certainly looked it. We didn't try the Oysters, as this is another of the apparently endless number of of fern bars serving exotic, pedigreed (meaning from places like Maryland and Massachusetts) oysters for the low, low price of $2-$4 each. For the price of a good oyster binge at these places, I can fly to the Gulf, buy a bushel and shuck my own.
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening
We do a lot of traveling and try and find different cool places to eat. Abel Brown did not disappoint the food was delicious, the cocktail list was intriguing and what we had was well crafted, our server Blake was awesome, we highly recommend requesting him. If you find yourself in Augusta you should definitely try Abel Brown, we are already trying to figure out a return trip!
Birthday dinner was delightful!! The oysters Rockefeller and the halibut were incredible. Always ask for Marina at the bar or Dominique on the floor!!
Great food, great service, nice people, enjoyed it!!!
Food was good. The service was excellent. The whole staff was very nice.
The guy at the next table was obnoxiously loud.. no fault of Abel Brown's. The tables are a little too close to each other..
Food and service is always great, having frequent often and do highly recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our date night at Abel Brown. Food and service was excellent.
The food and service was amazing!!! The oysters were delicious! My husband had raw and was savoring them. I have a gluten sensitivity and they had oysters fried in chickpea flour. They were outstanding. He had the pork chop. It was a generous portion. I gas the scallops. 6 was an adequate serving.
Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She did go ask to confirm GF options.
The one drawback was the temperature in the restaurant. We were in the back room and it was COLD! And drafty. The outside temperature was in the low 50’s. Not freezing. We weren’t the only ones who were cold. The people at the next table asked if we were cold because they were. And the next table over I saw people putting their jackets back on.
Overall we enjoyed our selves and will go again.
Broiled oysters are always my jam! Darwin, Kim, Marina are my people! Love this place. Gin drinker, as Marina at the bar for the Empress Gin drink.
Great food, Great Service by Evelyn. Whole evening very pleasant and enjoyable.
Rib-eye was absolutely perfect! I cannot recommend Abel Brown enough—all together a great experience.
We (2) loved this place! Sorry that we’re from out of state, or we would be back on a regular basis!
Both meals (shrimp and grits for him, scallops for me) were delicious, our server very knowledgeable and attentive. Loved everything!
Best restaurant in the CSRA. Food was unbelievable and the Service was great.
Food was good, nothing special. Bar service was great. Dining service left something to be desired (although I think our server was new, but she was kind).
Everything was amazing! I got the ribeye, the wedge salad and bartenders winter sangria. My husband got the pork chop and tea hive and we shared a charcuterie board. The food and drinks were so good! We had no leftovers. The service was good, and we'll definitely be back.
It’s always exceptional. Service, food, ambiance, etc. plus, they’ve added their lobster roll to their permanent menu!!! It’s honestly one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Highly recommend everything on the menu.
The food was amazing and fresh. The atmosphere was everything I hoped it to be, and the service was immeasurable. My husband and I will definitely be returning.
Valentines Day dinner was amazing!❤️
We were traveling to Augusta for a weekend getaway that happened to be Valentine's weekend. I made Open Table reservations with about 3 to 4 hrs notice. The place was packed so reservations were the smart move. The ambience was nice. The place had low lighting, a variety of music playing in the background with an attentive staff. They brought out the wrong meal for my wife initially but quickly rectified the situation. The manager was perusing the floor, quick to fix anything she saw that was not meeting customer needs. Each female patron received a single rose that night. Nice touch.
The place is in a back corner of a modernized shopping plaza so there was ample parking despite the business of Valentine's night.
If we're ever back in the Augusta area, we'll definitely go back to Abel Brown's for a nice seated dinner.
It was such a nice way to spend Valentine’s. It was a bit loud though and my husband and I weren’t always able to hear what each other was saying. That was the only downside. Otherwise, it was fabulous!
My wife and I had our Valentine's dinner there and the atmosphere was perfect. The dinner was delicious, Oyster Rockefeller is one of my favorite dish when prepared properly and it was excellent. We must come again when we visit Augusta Ga.
We went on Valentine's day and they brought all the girls a rose. So sweet! Just a little extra touch to make the night special.
As always, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff, sat down at our table promptly, and the server arrived within a minute of sitting down. Service was extremely detailed and professional while also being warm and friendly. Food was outta this world! Perfect portion sizes! We go here for special occasions and we never are disappointed! We shall return!
Food is always incredible no matter what I order. We try something different everytime and it's always delicious.
It was Valentine’s Day. The service was outstanding. I received a rose at our seating. The food was spectacular. Our seat was perfect. Thank you for helping make this date better. ❤️
