was a disaster for us, unfortunately. They were overbooked and way understaffed for Mother’s Day. I made an online reservation earlier in the day with no issue. When we arrived, it was a zoo. We got seated reasonably within 15-20 minutes of arriving. But it was all downhill from here. The servers couldn’t even get drinks out in a reasonable amount of time. After we did get our drinks, we didn’t see our server for at least another 30minutes. We had to be somewhere 30 minutes later. When we saw our server we asked how long for food and she said probably an hour. I just said we will pay for our drinks and leave. She obliged. We asked to speak to the manager and she was happy to oblige us because she was pretty upset this was the situation with the restaurant on Mother’s Day.\n\nThe manager did come out and she was very nice and thoughtful and certainly tried to rectify the situation. She brought out two apps that took no time to prepare and offered to send food to our hotel we were staying at to be there after our show we were in town for was over. There was also a moment when the wait staff told us our food should be out any minute and then 45 more minutes went by and we had no communication from anyone.\n\nFinally, the manager came over to our table, after visiting several other tables that had the same problem, and apologized for the inconvenience. We asked her what was going on and she had just said that the kitchen got behind earlier in the day because of having too many large parties to serve and the whole day went downhill from there. We ended up having to get our food to go because our kids were losing their minds from waiting so long. She DID comp our entire meal except for our drinks and the kids meal as well as threw in a free desert for my wife for Mother’s Day.\n\nSo, moral of the story is maybe don’t choose Baker Street for a special holiday meal, but I assure you that that’s never happened when we’ve gone there on a normal day before. Baker Street is a good restaurant, I just think they were having a really bad day and it resulted in us having the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in a long time. We have two private rooms available for your use, both have available audio visual equipment as described below for use free of charge. Noah's room seats up to 20 guests and has a flat screen tv with connections for a laptop, and a dvd player to meet all of your audio visual needs. Our Party room seats up to 40 guests and has a portable screen and projector for your audio visual needs. (Note: when utilizing audio visual in the Party room, we recommend a maximum of 32 guests) Both rooms can be utilized together to seat a maximum of 60 guests. Additionally, we have semi-private seating available for up to 40 guests in our South Dining Room. When appropriate you can still utilize the screen and projector for audio visual needs in this room. However, we would recommend limiting your guest count to 32 guests if you were to use this room with audio visual. It was a disaster for us, unfortunately. They were overbooked and way understaffed for Mother’s Day. I made an online reservation earlier in the day with no issue. When we arrived, it was a zoo. We got seated reasonably within 15-20 minutes of arriving. But it was all downhill from here. The servers couldn’t even get drinks out in a reasonable amount of time. After we did get our drinks, we didn’t see our server for at least another 30minutes. We had to be somewhere 30 minutes later. When we saw our server we asked how long for food and she said probably an hour. I just said we will pay for our drinks and leave. She obliged. We asked to speak to the manager and she was happy to oblige us because she was pretty upset this was the situation with the restaurant on Mother’s Day.
The manager did come out and she was very nice and thoughtful and certainly tried to rectify the situation. She brought out two apps that took no time to prepare and offered to send food to our hotel we were staying at to be there after our show we were in town for was over. It was just an unfortunate experience because we were excited to try the place and have a nice steak dinner and enjoy a meal together before the show.

Our reservation was for 2:15pm and we arrived to have them say there were no tables available and had no eta. We weren’t seated until 2:45pm. So we ordered food and asked if our daughters (4yrs old) could come out first because she was getting antsy. They obliged and hers came in 10 minutes. Our entrees on the other hand, didn’t come for 2 hours. So much time passed that our daughter finished her meal and was then getting antsy again. There was also a moment when the wait staff told us our food should be out any minute and then 45 more minutes went by and we had no communication from anyone.
Finally, the manager came over to our table, after visiting several other tables that had the same problem, and apologized for the inconvenience. We asked her what was going on and she had just said that the kitchen got behind earlier in the day because of having too many large parties to serve and the whole day went downhill from there. We ended up having to get our food to go because our kids were losing their minds from waiting so long. She DID comp our entire meal except for our drinks and the kids meal as well as threw in a free desert for my wife for Mother’s Day.
So, moral of the story is maybe don’t choose Baker Street for a special holiday meal, but I assure you that that’s never happened when we’ve gone there on a normal day before. Baker Street is a good restaurant, I just think they were having a really bad day and it resulted in us having the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in a long time. We’re going to give them another chance later on and we shall see how that goes.

The best restaurant Fort Wayne has to offer. We never fail to be impressed when we eat here. Tonight I had a cherry infused Old Fashioned. I'm by no means an expert, but this was probably the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. I also decided to try Beef Wellington for the first time, and it was delicious. My wife enjoyed her 8 ounce filet mignon as well, she said "melt in your tender". The pretzel bread, house salad, and smoked Gouda crab dip appetizer were all fantastic, too. We took our carrot cake dessert to go and still haven't eaten it yet because we were so full. My only minor quibble is my water glass sat empty for awhile while I was eating, minor but something a fine restaurant shouldn't let happen. Not enough to not warrant 5 stars, though. Note, we had a $100 gift certificate from my wife's boss, and still spent over $100, so be prepared to pay in excess of $200 for a couple if you order drinks, appetizer, and dessert. It's a worthwhile indulgence for special occasions.

Baker Street has been a destination place for us for. Many years as we don’t live in Ft. Wayne. Tonight we were disappointed with our food for the first time. Lobster Bisque is a favorite but it was too thick, more like gravy than the usual delicious soup. My husband loved the pork shank which is no longer on the menu so her got the pork chop and it was over cooked. The Beef Wellington was also over cooked. Flavors on all dishes were spot on but cooking temps and textures did not work on this visit.

Service was slow but got better. Food was excellent, however, the noise level was terrible in the main dining room. We couldn't even carry on a conversation at our table without almost yelling.

This was our last stop on a week long vacation. They did not disappoint. Food was excellent and the ambiance is classic steakhouse feel. Would definitely go back on our next visit to Fort Wayne.

We had a great night. The food was delicious. We didn't have to shout for great conversation because the noise level was low. The service was just right.

Our server was good she was very helpful and polite . The food was not good we ordered ribeyes and 1 was raw and was supposed to be medium rare sent it back and got a new one brought out and it was burnt on the outside and almost the same as the last one raw in the inside My steak which I waited to eat till my wife’s was replaced and by then was cold looked pan fried and pale and tasted like it was almost expired. We did not finish either steaks and did not take them home asparagus was not fully cooked as well . Appetizer jalapeño poppers was super salty best thing was the salad and brussel sprouts which both were good salad being the best. 200 dollar check for bad food is crazy . Left there and got Taco Bell on the way home

We have two private rooms available for your use, both have available audio visual equipment as described below for use free of charge. Noah's room seats up to 20 guests and has a flat screen tv with connections for a laptop, and a dvd player to meet all of your audio visual needs. Our Party room seats up to 40 guests and has a portable screen and projector for your audio visual needs. (Note: when utilizing audio visual in the Party room, we recommend a maximum of 32 guests) Both rooms can be utilized together to seat a maximum of 60 guests. Additionally, we have semi-private seating available for up to 40 guests in our South Dining Room. When appropriate you can still utilize the screen and projector for audio visual needs in this room. However, we would recommend limiting your guest count to 32 guests if you were to use this room with audio visual.
