Great casual spot in Cole Valley! First time, but this will definitely become a regular spot for us. Friendly service, delicious food, perfect location!
Great food, quantity, pricing, and service. 5+ STARS
I won’t go back there again!
Good food great service and reasonable prices, great neighborhood restaurant.
Such a cute place. Great food and excellent service.
Service was great and food excellent as always.
Good food at a reasonable price. I had the italian chopped salad and it was huge and delicious. I did think the single server there did a great job considering she had to handle the entire restaurant. Hire her some more help!
Sometimes really wanting to like a place isn't enough. The large portions of food is n ot enough to make this place worth going back to. My pasta with Arrabiata sauce was so loaded with mediocre sauce that I could barely find the Penne. I left a full cup of sauce on my plate when I gave up searching for more pasta. My salad of oranges, blue cheese, greens, and pecans was so bland that it was like chewing cardboard. Again a full cup of greens was left on the plate. I enjoy a good volume of food when I dine but when it gets that large it becomes a bit gross. I would of rather had less volume and more attention paid to the outcome. The greens seemed fresh but lacked any spark of flavor. The server and service were good without a doubt. While it is not an overly expensive restaurant the lack of flavor discounts any savings. Not a place I can recommend.
Nice ambiance (except for a noisy group of 6 next to us). Next time, I'll request a quieter table. Great price for prix fixe dinner. Huge servings, delicious food.
We particularly enjoy the baked 5 cheese pasta and ravioli with with pesto cream! Brie appetizer was tasty. Servers are always friendly.
Food and service always excellant. Bring the whole gang and enjoy.
Went for Lunch last Saturday. What a pleasant experience. The food and the service is was excellent.
Wow! This is a gem I am so happy to have found. Great location in beautiful Cole Valley...Lovely atmosphere, sparkling clean, very attentive, knowledgeable, helpful servers. The food was out of this world delicious. I had a veggie pizza no cheese no oil...it was so tastey and filling,,,my husband had a all meat pizza and said it was one of the best he has ever eaten, my aunt had the seeded waffle and it was delightful. Crunchy and very good. We had coffee that was so tastey and fresh,,,they have a lot of vegan options and willing to work with you on dietary needs.
Soft Italian music was playing in the background...we had a server and a helper who made sure we had plenty of coffee and water,,,very relaxing too.
We can hardly wait to go back! Do not let the parking deter you it’s so worth it.
The food always comes out piping hot. The mushroom tagliatelle was awesome. The amount of mushrooms exceeded all expectations. It was like eating a steak, there was so much...
It took almost an hour to get our entree and there was staff standing around watching the only Server run around to try to keep customers happy. Nothing was offered to compensate us for the poor level of service. Won’t be going back for over priced average Italian food any time soon!
Very tasty italian food, I particularly recommend the excellent risotto.
Based on reviews I read, I expected more from the kitchen. We ordered pretty standard dishes (pasta Bolognese) but everything lacked flavor and cohesion. Could it be that the lunch chef is different from the dinner chef?
This was a pleasant restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I ordered another round of beer for my daughters boyfriend and myself and they forgot to bring it. When my wife mentioned that we did not get the beer they promptly brought it to us with a heat felt apology.
Had a lovely casual dinner in the neighborhood. Service was great and I especially appreciated that our server brought out a lump of pizza dough for the kids to play with while waiting. Excellent desserts and huge salad.
Bambino's has the best Salads in the Bay Area and the most imaginative Italian food on the West Coast.
Fantastic neighborhood spot where the food is real authentic fantastic and great staff!!
The service was incredibly short staffed, and they do not seem to know how to make carbonara. It was like mushroom cream sauce.
I’ve had good meals here before. This wasn’t one of them.
Wonderful service made the food taste even better.
Excellent service. The food is wonderful especially enjoyed the polenta croutons.
We just had one issue and they took care of it right away. Always seating available. Very comfortable space for brunch and getting together with friends.
Enjoyed our dinner here. Nice neighborhood feeling, liked that they brought bread and olives for us while we were waiting. Service was good, food prepared well and arrived at the table quite quickly. Happy with everything we tried.
I brought my friends here to celebrate a birthday. We had the trout special on the Tuesday (value) menu. I've had it before and that's why I made reservations for this special dinner. I told the wait staff about the birthday and dessert was served with candles for the end of a great dinner.
Bambino's is my favorite neighborhood restaurant, comfortable and inviting. Perfect for families or single diners, the service is always wonderful and the food seasonal and delicious, often with main dishes accompanied by a starch and a vegetable for a great value. I had a nice Syrah with the Tuesday night special, a pasta with sausage and a creamy pesto sauce, accompanied by the best minestrone soup (veg. base) and a big green salad.
Food was great. Chicken Parmigiana was excellent. Service was terrific. The wait staff is very friendly and does a wonderful job.
Delicious fresh variety of bread
Prefer to sit at a booth
Our group of five people had dinner at Bambino's on a Sunday night. Clients tend to leave earlier than usual on that evening, so the noise level subsided during our visit, making the environment more pleasant than the usual deafening San Francisco restaurant ambiance! The service was attentive, kind and professional, and we all enjoyed our meals. We shared two of the special salads, which were outstanding, and several excellent pasta dishes. The restaurant offers a wide variety of pizzas, and we'll return again to try one. They also feature special menus, at extremely reasonable prices, nearly every weeknight; we'll definitely return to order those, too. Altogether a fine dining experience!
This was my second time for dinner in our neighborhood. I am new to Cole Valley. First time was lovely, great service, great food and decent wine list.
This past time was not so hot. We waited a long time to get service with the restaurant less than half full. I had made a reservation online and my fiancé had to get up to go get a waiter who said, “We’ll get to ya”
He later apologized for slow service which was nice but the whole experience was colored by the initial reception we got.
Restaurant was a little warm
Solid, solid brunch choice! I was scouring SF for a yum brunch place that was public transit accessible, reservation possible, kid friendly, and had pancakes (as well as a good variety of options for adults with various dietary preferences). Bambino's delivered this and more! For a group of 9 including 3 kids (1 <10, 1 toddler, 1 newborn), we had a comfortable brunch with good coffee drinks on a Saturday morning. Loved the complimentary mini-scones at the beginning as well as the quality of care the staff takes to service.
Server gets ten stars for being incredibly friendly and nice to the two very young children with us ....that alone will bring us back
Another great meal at Bambino's.
Thank you all.
Bambino's Ristorante is a great neighborhood Italian restaurant, and Cole Valley is very lucky to have it. The food was great, and the service was excellent. I intend to return whenever I am in San Francisco.
