Bar Americain at Mohegan Sun
Food was on the cold side. Waiter was missing for a long tome. Wouldn’t return
Everything was just ok. Nothing outstanding about the restaurant unfortunately.
Great food; reasonable prices for portions. Helpful waitstaff.
I had eaten at Bobby Flay's in Las Vegas and it was great, my expectations were the same for this one.My entire party was very disappointed in their meals, the onion soup was actually oily and tasteless, the chicken entree was bland and dry.The salads were delicious and the staff was respectful and kind.I would not go again nor would anyone in our party.
The Thanksgiving dinner was awful. AWFUL11111 Everything had been pre cooked and warmed lightly. This was
a get together with 2 daughters and adult granddaughter. Very disappointing since I have been a regular there for many years. Many times I would dine alone, no special occasion. I left there thinking that because
you are closing in a month that the kitchen doesn't care and some have probably already moved on. The folks at the next table complained to each other as well. The $49 pp was way over priced. I was embarrassed
that I made the reservation. I've never complained about a meal there, EVER!!! The place wasn't busy either.
We had not been to an upscale Flay restaurant until this visit and will definitely return. We dined on a not very busy Sunday evening which assured quick service and appropriate attention from the wait staff. My wife's cioppino was excellent just the right spices as one would anticipate in a Flay venue. The pistachio creme brulee was a good way to complete the meal. Prices are appropriate for the experience.
I know the restaurant is closing which probably is a good thing. I would not return given my other dinning options at Mohegan Sun.
Took my son who turned 18 and wanted nothing besides Luke Combs and a nice steak and Katie our server, our Chef and Mr. Bobby Flay cane through ...
Just delicious as always. Service is outstanding.
BEST FILET MIGNON I HAVE EVER HAD. COOKED JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT WITH SOME GREAT SPICES RUBBED IN
So sad to hear it’s closing. Everything was fantastic. The server was great and very accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious. Would’ve definitely returned. Hope it opens up somewhere else.
Bar Americain isn't what it used to be. Service was good, but food was just OK. The menu is very limited. There are several other choices for restaurants at Mohegan Sun, they need to step up their game.
CTRecovery/Keith Urban concert
Went before a concert and the service was exceptionally smooth, prompt and delightful. The food was perfect. Well presented and delicious. A fan!
We made 8pm reservations but they were able to accommodate us earlier. Dinner was good. I just didnt like that all sides were separate. I would be nice to get something with the steak. Overall it was good and we would go back.
Steak was cooked nicely. I’d prefer some different side dish options. Balsamic mushrooms were good, cauliflower goat cheese gratin had nice flavor, smashed potatoes were so so. Specially drink selection was okay but nothing unique. Overall experience was good, service was decent, food took a bit longer than expected but we enjoyed ourselves.
We ordered steak - filet. Super dry and tough. We also got mushrooms and onions where I kept getting overpowering mouthfuls of vinegar. Fries were overcooked. The steak sauce was super good though and the waiter was excellent.
We took my granddaughter to dinner and was so disappointed in the quality of the food. We ordered a Cesar salad and it was overload garlic and dressing as well as mostly brown pieces. Both my husband and granddaughter orders steak, sirloin and rib eye. They were both well done - orders medium
The rib eye was so thin- I ordered chicken and it was probably a third if that of breast $38???? Really.
The bill was over $200.00
We were never so disappointed !
And would not recommend this
I was looking forward to a great meal but food was average at best and overpriced for what was served. I would not recommend this restaurant at all... a huge disappointment. Server was terrific.
My Wife and I have enjoyed dinning there for the past 10 years
Upon our last visit we learned the restaurant would be closing, this made us sad
The staff is very professional and interactive
Knowing the restaurant is closing they performed as if it was the first time.
Losing a wonderful place like this will be felt by many
Ordered a medium rare rib eye that was served VERY rare. They re-fired the steak and served it again but am still disappointed that I would have to make that request in the first place. Great wait staff and well priced wine when you consider that you are at a high end restaurant.
Food was disappointing. Server was overwhelmed and we did a lot of waiting. Very loud and hard to keep a conversation. I have been here 5 times and would not choose to go back.
Waiter did not know the food or drink menu.
Food not cooked appropriately, wine delivered was a different year than advertised.
Not on par with other restaurants in the casino, would not come again. You suck, Bobby Flay,
It's pricey but the food is phenomenal
Worth every penny, have never had a bad meal.
Was not impressed with the food which I normally am when I go to a Bobby Flay restaurant
Overall experience was great
Food excellent. Noise level very loud.
Great Steak and some other fantastic entrees. Classic Steakhouse setup and service.
Husband bday dinner was great! Awesome service and great food!
While on the pricier side and like one would expect, the food was outstanding as well as the service; there is not much else to say.
Went to Bar for our Anniversary. Food was excellent.
Was not impressed, the meal was something I could have had at a restaurant where I live and less pricey. I truly believe it was because of the name. The service was slow. Was not worth the money and will not return.
Everything about this place is horrible. Horrible dinner for our anniversary. Bobby Flay should not be proud of this place. 45 minutes for our food and overall 2.5 hours to dine ? WTH? I never had crispy Filet Mignon? Never go back to very overly priced place that you pretty much seat next to other instead of enjoying personal space for a private dinner.
Our waiter Mergim was spot on. He would instruct his staff accordingly to make our dining experience one to remember. Had the colossal tower. Very fresh seafood. Always enjoy the treat of this restaurant.
The appetizers were just OK, but the main entrees were delicious. We had the plank-grilled salmon with wild mushrooms and it was amazing. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. The spicy tuna tartare was mediocre, as was the lobster avocado app. Service was fantastic, although our waitress ordered an extra side dish that we had talked about but didn't actually order, so luckily that was on the house - it was an odd dish anyway, basically potato chips with a blue cheese dipping sauce. Too full for dessert after that meal. Ambiance was nice although we joked it reminded us of the Cheesecake Factory, even down to the similar bread baskets.
I wish I could remember our servers name, but it started with a B, and he had a lovely accent if that helps haha! He took wonderful care of us, never rushed us and was always close when something was needed. It was our friends birthday, and they brought a beautiful dessert for her as well. Everyone was thrilled with their food (4 of us). My husband and I have been there before and have never been let down. Delish.
Love the food there!!! Always a great meal.
The quality of the food was lacking. The seafood--in particular the oysters--did not appear or taste fresh at all. Impossible to hear the people sitting right next to you.
The food was amazing and our waiter was spot on. We were there for dinner. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the ribeye, both cooked perfectly. The waiter overheard us talking and must have realized it was our anniversary. After dinner he came over with a dessert for us to share and a glass of champagne for each of us. Such a great experience!
