Sushi is fantastic. Service was very good too. Bluefin roll was amazing. Specialty rolls are pretty big so be careful with your order or you will be asking for a box!

Our first time here as we could never get in before. This time I made a reservation but when we got there the hostess couldn’t find it… looked for it for several minutes on her computer ( even though I brought it up on my phone) . She finally located it on her computer and sat us. Surprisingly we didn’t need a reservation as it was pretty empty and only one other table came in before we left!

Our family recently visited Bluefin Restaurant to celebrate our son's 11th birthday, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience that we can't wait to share! We decided to sit at the sushi bar and were fortunate enough to be served by one of our favorite sushi chefs, Shinya. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that this was going to be a memorable evening. Shinya's warm and friendly demeanor immediately put us at ease, and he went out of his way to ensure that our son had a truly special birthday celebration. What truly stood out was the personalized attention Shinya gave to each dish he prepared. He took the time to ask our son about his sushi preferences and crafted sushi dishes that were not only delicious but also tailored to our son's liking. It was a delightful culinary journey, watching him skillfully create one delectable dish after another. But the outstanding service wasn't limited to just Shinya. The entire staff at Bluefin Restaurant was kind and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhanced our dining experience. Their attentiveness to our needs and their willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel like valued guests. In addition to the exceptional service, the food itself was a true delight. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients. Our son's 11th birthday celebration at Bluefin Restaurant turned out to be a night to remember. Thanks to Shinya and the wonderful staff, our family had a lovely time, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking for a restaurant with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service, Bluefin Restaurant is the place to be. We highly recommend it!

It was a major mistake that we ate at this restaurant. We were so so disappointed. Based from the money "bluefin" they charged us but the quality we got like Ahi can Tuna. The quality of the fish were not fresh at all so dry tasted like few weeks old. We ate at quiet a few of the sushi places in the Orange County (nana san, otoro, oshima,shunka, Hana Re sushi, Hamamori...) and i have to rank this place is on the bottom of them all and rank on top for over-price poor quality rip-off place. How can they justify to over charge for the sushi. I was at there old location before they moved to this location and it seems to getting worse so bad. How can they stay in business for this long? There web site listed Sushi Omakase 12 piece of sushi and soup for $85. But the chef told us it is 14 pieces and charged $120. Good thing we order only 1 Omakase and order individually BUT still so disappointed of the quality of the fish. We got used to they make once piece infront of you and served one at a time instead of put all of them together in one plate and served all at once. The meal was over $300. It should be about 1/3 of that based from the quality and service we received. I don't mind paying for that much only if it was good/excellent but we got Ahi can tuna quality type of fish. This will be our last time ever. Hope they see my comments. Please stay away from this place. Very Disappointed Customers.

My meal at Bluefin was exceptional from start to finish. Every dish was stunning - as the quality of the fish was unsurpassed and prepared by expert hands. 'Saiko desu'. I enjoyed every bite of each prepared dish. The Nihonshu list (0-sake) is excellent and evidences the attention to detail required for preparation of good Japanese food. Thank you so much Abe-san for a wonderful and enjoyable meal.

A very nice restaurant with a patio and dine in option. We ordered lunch Omakase. The lunch was modified for us by a Chef. We had sushi, sashimi and sake. All was fresh and delicious. They don’t rush with a check, if you are in a hurry keep this in mind, but if you are looking for a relaxed afternoon date or a meeting I highly recommend a Bluefin restaurant 👍.

For high quality Japanese cuisine, from small plates to omakase this is the best you’ll find in SoCal. A family favorite for over 10years, lunch, dinner or takeaway, with friendly service and sushi chefs with personality and respect. Love this place!

Sushi was great, but only one piece per order. Crab dumplings were fantastic. Portions are on the small side. I guess rice is extra, as it didn't come with any of our entrees. Loved the albacore app and lychee martini though! Waitress said the outside tables had to be reserved in advance so unfortunately we sat indoors even though the weather was fantastic.

I recently visited Bluefin with high hopes, thanks to its renowned chef. However, my experience fell short of expectations. I opted for the sushi omakase, expecting an extraordinary culinary adventure. Instead, all the sushi arrived on one plate, lacking the personalized touch that defines omakase. The sushi itself was just average, and the excessive wasabi overpowered the flavors. Unfortunately, a couple of people in my group felt unwell afterward. The restaurant's ambiance was poor and noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal fully. Although the staff was friendly, they could benefit from additional training to enhance their service. Overall, I can't recommend Bluefin. The mediocre sushi, noisy environment, and average experience left me disappointed. I hope the restaurant takes these points into consideration for improvement.

Was not what they advertise. It's not at the same level as Nobu or even Sugar fish and the desserts were something you can buy at the grocery store and put together with ice cream and fruit.

We ordered the Blue Fin Chef Omakase. Their website showed $150. They charge $175 pp. we went there for Father’s Day. For Omakase, we expect better quality sushi. Sushi was mushy, not fresh. Blue Fin use to have “A” Quality sushi and very fresh. It was 7 course. We waited a long time for each dish. By the time they served the last dish, dessert, it was already 2 1/2 hrs. All the cooked dish was good, sashimi was ok, dessert was good. I recommend ordering alacarte, rolls and tempura, not Omakase. Omakase price does not justify.

Delicious and FRESH food. Excellent and thoughtful service. Loved the beef and tuna carpaccio, the sashimi, the rainbow roll and the cucumber salad. Everything here is well made and melts in your mouth.

We have dined at Bluefin many times since opening. They never disappoint. They execute at at an exceptionally high level, add new items, and definitely make the overall experience wonderful. We never have to worry about anything. Just eat, drink and enjoy.
