My wife and I had a perfect evening. Everything was perfect. Started with the scallop trio - very good. My wife loved the ribeye - cooked to perfection and I loved the duck. Finished the meal off by sharing a crème brûlée and the port flight - highly recommend. Service was excellent!! Will definitely come back next time we are in town.
First time in Santa Barbara and went here on a suggestion. We were sat near the kitchen so the noise, distraction of the staff and lighting made the experience a little off par. However, the great service and attention to detail along with good food made up for the lack of atmosphere.
Great experience at Bouchon. Staff were beyond accommodating my husband and I with our 9 month old baby. They were so welcoming to us with our infant, very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious! Their outside patio was beautifully set up.

I don’t understand the hype of this restaurant. We came here during our honeymoon trip and ordered French onion soup, mushroom ragout, sea bass and salmon. Everything was mediocre and slightly bland in flavor. I wouldn’t come here again.
Service was first class. Food was outstanding. We were running late due an Uber malfunction and the staff was quick to re-book us for a later time. Outdoor dining was extremely comfortable. This restaurant gets high marks in every category.
Bouchon is wonderful French cuisine. Great service, attention to detail, a local gem. Worth the splurge.

This was by far our best dinner (out of 3) in SB - every dish was excellent and will dream of the pork belly forever ... our server Christian was honestly one of the nicest and most helpful people we met. He gave of lots of ideas for local things to do and nailed the wine suggestion - Paul HObbs Pinot - will dream of that too! Love from Toronto ...

Stellar service, great ambiance, delicious food. Dylan was our server & was ultra accommodating. Brought us multiple wine tastings prior to committing to the bottle of wine that we ordered to go with our meal. Not to mention the fact that the restaurant knew that we were celebrating an anniversary & there were rose petals on our table along with an anniversary greeting from the management. Wonderful evening at Bouchon!
The duck was a little disappointing but the rib eye, salad, and wine were great. Great service and good special occasion spot
Our dinners were a “mixed bag”. The sea bass was truly excellent and the lobster pot pie delicious, although quite small. The rack of lamb was presented luke- warm (!) and the seasonings were sprinkled only on the top portion of three chops. The mixed green salad was sparse; the French onion soup was served in a small bowl. Disappointed…we had looked forward to finally dining here for the first time.

Wspecial night! It was our anniversary and we were treated like royalty. From the red rose petals on the table when we arrived to the service provided by our server David it was all amazing. The food is near perfections. All of our dishes were full of flavor using only the freshest of ingredients! Assessing value is impossible as everything exceeded expectations by so much.
Very nice setting and service! The food was delicious. We let them know that it was my birthday when making reservations and when we arrived the table was set with rose petals and a card. Very nice touch! Will go again.
We were really excited about dining here while visiting Santa Barbara on our honeymoon but felt the food was a little underwhelming. The ambiance felt a bit stuffy and pretentious and I had mentioned in advance that we were on our honeymoon and thought maybe we’d be surprised with a free celebratory dessert - but instead were welcomed with a card and rose petals on our table - which was a nice touch (we would’ve preferred a scoop of ice cream though ;)
The French onion soup (being that this is a French restaurant) lacked in flavor. The Brussels sprouts were also disappointing & tasted like they were just boiled and roasted without any seasoning. I will say, the mushroom ragout was phenomenal - so we did enjoy that. The duck and pork belly were good but nothing to write home about.
Overall, a good experience but an expensive meal for what it was.
We had an excellent time. The only recommendation I could make to other diners is to skip the butternut squash soup, it was pretty bland. Everything else we ordered was AMAZING! And Tom the server was excellent.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Bouchon. The service was absolutely excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. Overall the food was very good though not exceptional. We started with the crab cakes which were good but not excellent, somewhat lacking in the flavor of crab. My husband had the duck which sat on a bed of succotash. He enjoyed the duck though he wasn’t fond of the succotash. I enjoyed the salmon which was perfectly cooked. We also shared the roasted Brussels sprouts which could have been a bit crispier and cooked a bit longer. Finally, we ended our meal with the molten lava cake which was terrific. Overall well done though there is room for some improvement.
We were excited about trying this restaurant and was so disappointed with the food. No seasoning. No taste.

The food was DELICIOUS, the service was outstanding and the whole mood was wonderful. Our waiter was so friendly and informative it was a great dining experience. I could go on and on. Will definitely be back.

27th Wedding anniversary
My wife and I celebrated our 36th anniversary at the restaurant and everything was wonderful. The hostess wished us a happy anniversary as she sat us and there was a sweet anniversary note on our table. The service (Adam) was impeccable. We brought our own wine and he suggested the perfect foods to go with the wine and he was spot on. We split the heirloom tomatoes to start and my wife had the steak and I the duck. Each dish was wonderful and the presentation beautiful. The restaurant was quiet, lovely and romantic. One of our best dining experiences in Santa Barbara or anywhere.
