Table lighting awful; having to use the phone flashlight to read the menu. Menu font sizes was fine, but the ambient lighting was so dim, nearly impossible to read without the use of the phone flashlight. I understand setting the ‘ambience’, but the light level!
Unfortunately we went two days after the 49ers Super Bowl and they were out of several items and 5 out of 5 of our $100 medium rare steaks were cooked medium-well. Not a good showing for the restaurant and $900+ bill.
This place isn't cheap, you aren't getting out of here for less than $150 per head and that assumes you are very careful on the wine. BUT, the steaks are really great! The wine list is impressive if not very high end; many many bottles over $1500. So if you are trying to stay below some number relative to gifts or policy you need to pay some attention. Our servers appeared to be having a tough day. She was forgetful and a bit scattered but very polite and got everything to us. I would definitively go back and would even consider taking the wife here on a date night.
Great location, Levis Stadium! Awesome ambiance. Service was good. It was a good location to sit and have a conversation with a colleague over dinner. But everything else at the steakhouse is meh. Other than the oysters (bad!) the food was generally good, but not cooked to order (med rare came med well).
Service was very slow. Food wasn’t as I expected compared to my experience at other Bourbon steakhouses
The food is outstanding! The broad menu makes it a great location for group meetings. Large wine selection but can really add to the overall cost. I will definitely go again.
Great staff and food was well done
I chose Bourbon Steak for a business dinner to host a very important customer. The service was excellent in all aspects - timely, efficient, and unobtrusive. I highly recommend Bourbon Steak.
Everything about our night was great. We had noted a birthday on the reservation and they had a personalized card signed by all the staff on the table when we arrived. Great experience
It was fantastic, I’ve already decided I’m coming here every special occasion I can. Phenomenal service, steaks and cocktails
The ambiance is very nice, however, the food is way over priced. In addition, the menu on open table doesn't match the menu at the restaurant. Food selections and pricing is not the same. Prices were 20% higher in the restaurant versus the posted menu. When brought the server attention, the response is that they don't have anything to do with the open table menu. I'd select another place to eat as it's not worth the value for what you get.
It appears that a sports bar with an annexed steakhouse doesn't work well.
Always a top notch dining experience!
Amazing service, great food and wine selection, on point location at Levi Stadium.
Food quality well below standard for even a casual $$ restaurant. Service was ok, but lacked refinement.
Great place. Good and service was top notch—exactly what you’d expect from Michael Mina.
But, it’s not inexpensive.
I spoke with the manager tonight about the disappointment I had with everything tonight.
Had to wait a very long time to be acknowledged once we were seated. It took over 20 minutes to get menus or water delivered to our table. We ordered wine, which arrived separately for each person. One received a pour around 40 minutes in to our sitting and mine arrived 20 minutes after that. Very strange timing to the service. Food was very good, but the service detracted from the price charged for that meal. Wouldn't return or recommend Bourbon Steak.
Very bad service particularly since our bill was $1,150 for four people. Food was very good but not memorable. The right price/value should have been half of what we paid.
Had our largest customer come into town from Detroit. Food was good. Service was poor. I had to keep flagging down our waiter to get service. Wine I had selected off your website (Alfaro Family Vinyards owned by a personal friend) they no longer stocked. Why was it on the list on line?
Excellent steaks and food. Excellent attentive service. A bit too casual and noisy and the reception area shared with the adjacent pub requires more receptionists at peak times.
Try Michael Mina's SF restaurant or some of the other top steak restaurants in the area and judge for yourself.
Great spot in the south bay. Try the other items, not just the steaks. Lobster pot pie was incredible
This was my 4th time dining at Bourbon Steak and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. For whatever reason, the restaurant was basically empty but the food and service were outstanding, as always. I'll definitely return!
*It was truly a magical evening. I felt as though I dined in a Wonderland which was floating in a cloud - that was in the shape of a heart...♥️♥️♥️The Host (s) was stunning and the Welcome was grand with the fanciest of a desert that followed a beautiful selection. *Thank you “all” for the Sweetest evening.
Food was fantastic, the steaks were cooked perfectly and the shishito pepper side dish is worth coming back for alone! Service was top notch! The wine list is excellent! Patrick and the whole team there are the best around, they really made our anniversary special and we cant wait to come back! Thank you Bourbon and Steak!
Absolutely outstanding restaurant on all levels. Visited a few times now and each time the flavors captured in the various offerings were over-the-top delicious (appetizers all the way to desserts!). Service is impeccable with attention to every detail. Highly recommend, great place for that romantic dinner-for-two!
Patrick was our waiter and HE WAS AWESOME!!! He made our dining experience the best I have ever had.. btwn the complementary fries with all the dipping sauces and the truffle bread what a surprise. The meal was so great!! We will definitely be returning!!
Great Place to have an amazing time. I love the place.
I've been a HUGE fan of the D.C. Bourbon Steak for about 8 years now and go there every time I'm in town. I was in Santa Clara this past week and needed a place for dinner on Thursday night so I was quite excited when I saw that there was a Bourdon Steak in the Forty Niner stadium. The meal started off great with the trio of flavored duck fat fries and dipping sauces which were as good as ever. Unfortunately, that's where the goodness stopped. I ordered my favorite ribeye and truffle mac n'cheese. The ribeye in D.C. is probably one of the best that I've ever had in my life. This one, was one of the most average ones I've ever had. No flavor, rather tough, just blah. The mac n'cheese tasted like something out of a box and I think they might've forgotten to put the truffle oil in as I sure didn't taste it. What a disappointing meal when I had such high expectations. The one highlight of the evening was the service which was fantastic. Kudos to the service staff there. I hope Mr. Mina checks in on them and rights the ship or else they won't be open much longer. Looking forward to my next trip back to the Bourbon Steak in D.C.
Service was very good, but the food was more about sounding good then actually tasting good. Smoked burratta sounds great but the taste was quite off putting. The lobster pot pie should not be a speciality here or anywhere. Just not a great experience and we eat at a lot of very nice restaurants. We wouldn’t come back when in the area.
This place was so good. I didn't realize it was at Levi Stadium when i first found it. I was worried it was too casual but they have two sides. We were on the formal steak house side. The food was phenomenal. Its a pretty expensive place but our waiter was so honest. He said the best steak here is the Skirt Steak which is one of the cheaper steaks but he was right it was delicious. Brussels Sprouts were excellent too and the dessert was to die for! All the servers were friendly. Ours was great! Lastly there was music playing Every song had me bouncing and moving around in my chair!!
Would definitely eat there again
I came here for Valentine's Day and had a great time! From the music selection to the food to the wine pairings. Everything was perfect. Their entire Valentine's Day special menu had just the right variety for any food lover. Btw, the Wagyu steak was absolutely amazing! The cost was on the higher end, but was worth every penny. Thanks for an awesome time! P.S. Go Niners!!
Great food, great service expect to pay $100 per person but I felt that it was worth the money. Took my son there on a Friday night so we could wait out the traffic and and a fantastic time.
This was my third time dining at Bourbon Steak and I had a blast of an experience! The food was absolutely outstanding and delicious!!!! The service was exceptional and I look forward to dining there again!
Good but bit pricy
