   Only if you could sit in the main room. I took two other couples who have never been there before because of the Head mounts in the main room and the quality of your steaks . I was extremely disappointed when we were seated in the far back room. We were the only ones back there and there’s no mounts on the wall. We ordered five of the ribeye steaks and everyone was undercooked. I personally have been here many times and each time was exceptional. This night was not that way. I was disappointed for the two other couples that we brought to your restaurant.

   We have a tradition of celebrating family birthdays at the Buckhorn. We try to go on Friday nights because they have the best clam chowder around.

   We have been going to the buckhorn for 15 years on our anniversary, I was shock how the waitress treated us. She was very rude not friendly or inviting. My husband and I have ordered the same thing every time we go, my elk steak was burnet on top and raw in the middle , my husband's prime rib was all fat. I sent my steak back and they put back on the grill which made it overcooked and more burnt. The waitress was not very helpful, didnt offer something else instead. She took my whole plate instead of leaving the potatoe and veggies, by the time she returned it my husband was finishes eating. We could not even enjoy a meal together. When she brought the cake or slice pie for our Anniversary, she just set down and walked away. I think we might find a new place l. I always loved the Buckhorn. I was very disappointed plus it was a special occasion too.

    We usually have great experiences at Buckhorn, this one was a little underwhelming. Everything took longer than usual, water, initial table visit, drink order, drinks to the table, dinner order, salads, and food to the table. Our waitress totally forgot our appetizer and a drink refill I had requested. The salads were fresh and fantastic. The sourdough bread, stellar as always. My prime rib was way too gristly. My wife's halibut, while fresh and nicely prepared was underseasoned and really needed an accompanying sauce. We love Buckhorn, they really do an excellent job for the genre. This particular night was just a bit of a miss.

    Family get together and the Buckhorn delivers once again. Amazingly good, attentive experienced service, perfect execution on the food. From the moment the bread and the butter came out to when she was finally bringing us boxes for leftovers everybody at the table Couldn’t say enough about how nice the evening was. The Buckhorn always delivers and is such a good value. I’ve been coming here for 20 years plus and it’s just amazingly consistent and still coveted.

    Buckhorn's Steakhouse is a very friendly place for any kind of occasion. The food is mostly simply prepared, with quality ingredients. The ribs are very good, with a nice sauce. Very good value for what you pay.

    This was a birthday dinner with family and it was quite average. Nothing was horrible but similarly, nothing was great or even very good. We had to ask for more water and when we asked for more bread, no butter was served with it. My prime rib was okay but again, not great or very good. Just average. Meh, wouldn’t make the 35 minute drive for a meal again.

    My wife and I had the Sunday special....two entrees and two sides. Price was excellent but steak was a little tough and the ribs a little chewy. Broccoli and bean side dishes were very good. You can't beat the price, just wish the meat dishes were a little better.

    My wife and I had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The employees were helpful answering our questions about the menu and drinks. Our waitress was especially nice taking our orders and serving our meals. It was a special day for us as it was our 45th wedding anniversary.

    We went with another couple that had been there about 30 or 40 times. The hostess and bar staff were amazingly friendly very welcoming... The highlights were The mushroom soup pepper steak and cheesecake all amazing!!! The only issue we had was our server. Possibly an off night or something. We just got the feeling that we were wasting her time and she didn't care about giving good service. To the standpoint we had to flag down other staff for an additional glass of wine, butter, ECT. When she dropped off the check she gave a half smile, didn't make eye contact with anyone and said thanks for coming in... I'm not expecting the world however the check was close to $200 not including the tip.... we will give it one try on our own and we will not sit in her section, I have heard Chris is an amazing server....

    Buckhorn was the perfect place to celebrate after our daughter’s White Coat ceremony at UC Davis Veterinarian School. The food and service was excellent. We loved the history of the building and how well it has been preserved.

    Great food! Waite staff very attentive. Food that other tables ordered was exciting to see. We did have to ask a second time for the amazing bread. There was a little confusion by the staff about paying for drinks from the bar. Nothing really significant to complain about. I really love that they use environmentally friendly ‘to go’ boxes.

    It was a very nice experience with the exception of the noise level. The food was excellent and our server was exceptionally nice and efficient. She checked on us frequently. The event was a birthday celebration and the meal was topped off with a complementary mud pie. Very nice gesture.

    Went with a coupon but turns out it was no good as the coupon owner was not paying their bills. Stayed for dinner anyway and of course the food was good and so was dessert

    The tri-tip special was delicious. But only two small slices of tri-tip for the price??? I can get a tri-tip sandwich with more meat on it for less cost.

    The Market Lobster was a fail. It was unseasoned and not good at all. Certainly overpriced for the value.

    Great restaurant. Good, solid food. The front of house staff who greet you aren’t very welcoming, though, and they seem to spend a lot of time making comments about the customers under their breath. That part’s very off-putting. And not very hospitable.

    Filet Mignon was not as tender as expected. Both baked potatoes were over done or perhaps left over from previos day, very dry, cheese on them seemed old. Prime Rib was cooked to my liking, but not as tender as expecred, was it really prime or was it a choice cut. Purple califlower was weird and tazted terrible. Overall a disapointment considering the prices.
