Carmine's - 44th Street - NYC
Food was delicious! Loved the Vodka sauce - loved it all!!
This is absolutely our favorite place to go in the city, never a bad meal in 10+ years, we love it here. I am gluten free and they accommodate always ❤️❤️❤️😜
We visit Carmine’s every time we make it to New York. It is always great!
We love the he 44th street branch. Would not recommend 91st restaurant.
Incredible! Will definitely be back next visit. Staff and food were both 5 ⭐️
First visit to your City. A wonderful place to be at Christmas. Your beautiful restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. You didn’t disappoint, your food is delicious and plentiful. Your service staff are fantastic and super friendly. BUT. You have one front of house staff who needs to attend customer service/relations course. A young lady, long blonde hair, short and petite in stature, very pretty with a dreadful attitude and unfortunate demeanour. There may well have been a difficultly in our accents ( we are from the UK) but it didn’t excuse her vile way of speaking to us and her mean spiteful attitude. Carmine’s, this individual did you no favours.
It was pleasant. Carmine’s has great holiday season ambiance. The service was great, and the food was also great.
Go hungry and go with plenty of family and friends… The portions are huge and meant to be shared… they do not serve half portions.
So it’s best to go with for 4 or more people.
The ambiance is really fun and loud.
Chicken Parmesan was a bit on the salty side, but the sauce was great.
Didn’t try anything else because we were full with just the chicken.
Portions are family style so way too much food for only two people. Especially if you are spending the day in the city and don’t want to walk around carrying leftovers. It would be great if they offered smaller options for smaller parties So there would be less waste. Very busy and crowded so it’s loud in there but food and service are great. If you are looking for an intimate and quite location this is not the place. Otherwise, check it out. You have to try this NYC icon it at least once!
Everything was great! Food was delicious but be sure to book days in advance to get a table during busy season! The wait was 3-4 hours! I was able to book a reservation the next day for a late lunch! Also this is a family size serving restaurant... so everything is for 2-4 people! It was fun splitting our meal!
Everything was great, food came out nice and hot and we were offered more bread. We shared two entrees with five of us and even had leftovers.
We loved our server today, Wilson. He took care of us and every request we had. He was super helpful with the meatball suggestions.... we visit Carmine’s every year. Glad they didn’t let us down. However, we did miss the sesame bread that was missing from the basket.
It was such a wonderful meal to eat during the holidays! Service was great.
Fun atmosphere, large portions and very friendly staff
Amazing food! Generous portions! Awesome wait staff! Beautiful ambience and Christmas decor! Will definitely return!
GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE !!!! we will be back for sure
Excellent experience! Highly recommend.
We come here every time we visit the city. Love it!
Arrived at 9:15 with a 9:30 reservation for 4, was checked in promptly and told we could wait at the bar, it was very crowded and the bar was not a good option, I don’t like hovering behind people at a bar nor do I enjoy when others do it to me, so two of us found a quiet out of the servers way to stand and two opted to go outside, we wEre seated 30 minutes after arriving and were escorted to an upstairs table to a lovely table location in a spot a lot more quiet than the dining area downstairs. After a delicious bread and olive oil starter We shared a perfectly stuffed artichoke and the meatballs and spaghetti dish which was served family style, while some may think those were the most basic things we could order .... it was so well prepared and had excellent depth of flavor that it was an amazing experience for the palette.
Carmine's has an energetic atmosphere with family style dining that makes it a great place for a group dinner. There were lots of options on the menu of standard Italian fare, and the friendly staff is helpful.
The Christmas décor is festive and inviting.
Our food was tasty, but arrived at room temperature, which was disappointing. Our waiter, though friendly, forgot to recognize my daughter's birthday, which was disappointing. The four teenagers with me thought the place was a lot of fun, so all was not lost.
The food and service was excellent as always. We always go to Carmine's when we come into the city. Never disappoints
Food was good but expected better. Considering food was severed family style this would be better for groups, we attended as a couple.
Carmine’s menu is geared for family diners and groups. Our salad and entree was mostly wasted on the two of us. As out of town visitors, we could not box up and take home the leftovers.
Despite a 40 minute wait to be seated (we had reservations), everything was great. I loved the vibe. My family was in for one night stay and it was a highlight.
Carmine's is a place for fabulous food, fun, family, and friends.
The food was wonderful and so was the service. I definitely would recommend having reservations. It’s always crowded and the wait can be long.
Carmine's has been our family's go to restaurant a couple of times a year!
The food is exceptional and the staff are welcoming!
Not impressed. Average pasta dishes with very high prices. Our waiter suggested a “half” portion for our kids. We asked to add mozzarella cheese to which they charged us $18 ($9 for a slab of melted cheese on each plate) Outrageous. Waiter didn’t care we were upset or why we questioned it. Disgusted with that and will never go back nor recommend. There are far better true Italian restaurants in the city to enjoy. Don’t waste your time.
My family has been coming to Carmine’s every year at Christmas time and never have we been disappointed. Service with a smile and food is incredible!
I've eaten at Carmines 44th Street for many years during the Christmas Holiday time. The food is always
delicious, and because it's family style, we always have leftovers.
The restaurant is always crowded, so it's best to make a reservation.
We had a very early reservation, 11:30am, so restaurant was not yet crowded when we were seated. We were a party of 4 and ordered two simple dishes, Chicken Parm & Penne a la Vodka. We waited almost 1/2 hour for the food with no one ever coming over to see if we were ok. Chicken Parm was lukewarm, penne was hot. We were afraid to ask for the chicken to be reheated because we were in a rush to go elsewhere. It didn’t matter because our waiter never came over to see if everything was good. Highly disappointed since we have eaten in several different Carmine’s and never had this experience before.
Server was a bit abrupt. I was there with my young son and he made little effort with us. He made much more effort with an elderly coupon next to us that ordered alcoholic drinks. Tables are super tight- I don’t love people breathing on my food. Food was good.
Came in to NY from Boston for a holiday trip and brought friends visiting from GA. As expected, everything was great and our friends had a wonderful first experience!
Love this location for before and after Broadway shows
Great food, excellent service
Love the Holiday music and decorations
All plates big enough to share
We had a great dining experience at Carmine’s. Had a reservation at 10:00 pm arrived @ 9:50 and seated at 10 . The food and wine were both excellent!! Loved the atmosphere was very lively and very festive. Highly recommend to a friend. Carmine’s will always be in my dining plans when in New York.
As busy as it was be Christmas time, everything was spot on
Food was delicious!!!! Booked my parents a reservation for January 25th and bought them a gift card. Only concern was being charged for 2nd drink. We also didn't ask for refills on soda. Waiter took it to refill on his own. Then 4 soda's times 2 came to well over $30.
Part of our yearly tradition around the holidays! Always a great experience!
We had a great return experience. It’s important to know that walk ins are not excepted at this time of year. We made our December reservation in July! One of the the high points of our NYC weekend.
I made these reservations over six months ago and we were seated at a tiny table that barely fits fiur at the top of the stairs by the door that kept being open it was freezing my son was at the end of the step. Food was good but I will never go back for that
