Casa Orinda always the greatest chicken. You should try it!
We brought our friends here to show them the Western paintings, pistol collection, and the carved bar and to enjoy some old school dining at a place my Dad came to long before I was born. The whiskey sours were perfect, the wine list good and the food excellent. We like the valet parking also since our friends are elderly.
Always great food! Terrific service from our waitress, Nicole. It was a fun night as we hadn't been out in awhile and everything was right on point. LOVE Casa!!
A bit noisy.
Woman greeting could be warmer
We have dinner there regularly, but were disappointed last Saturday. The food quality was not what we had been used to. The veal was dry and looked more like baby beef than veal, the fish was overcooked and dry. The wine we ordered was not cold, and took 20 in an ice bucket before we could drink it.
My wife and I ate here Saturday night. The beet salad was fresh and crisp.
The rack of lamb is to die for! Delicious, perfectly cooked by the chef. The portions are healthy. I will be back for more in the near future!
We asked to be seated in “warm &quiet” place and we were. Capon piccata was very good But Alfredo a bit flat as we didn’t see the parm. Coffee refills. Complimentary Sunday for birthday. Great valet service for ADA. Will return to order their Southern fried chicken.
Good food but disappointed that they ran out of prime rib. It’s a customer favorite and what we came for. Sacrilegious!
Delicious as always! Love this place!!!
The dependable place to go...topnotch in all respects...the widest menu around.
The beet salad was good, but the chicken cutlet was far less tasty than in prior visits. The portions on two different orders were quite different, one normal, and the other quite small. The gravy was bland and tasteless, and the vegetables consisted of a small serving of cauliflower smothered in onions.
The Manhattan was acceptable, but for some reason they are still using the brightly dyed maraschino cherries.
I’ve dined here many times over the years, but probably won’t return. Too many better options available.
Fried chicken dinner always good. But they wouldn’t substitute mixed vegetables for spinach. Same mixed vegetables with the veal piccata, which was also good. Waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Vodka citron drink ample. Noice level a little annoying, but it was a lively room.
Food was good. Waiters were friendly but service was just average. Decor in main dining room unique but decor in other rooms, especially the one behind main dining area was blah. Every room is noisy, especially room behind main dining room which has low ceilings. Valet parking staff was outstanding.
A local restaurant that's been around for years. It doesn't have the flair of the San Francisco restaurants, but who cares when it's about the food! Drive over to Orinda and enjoy just an overall great dinner. Comp valet parking as well, find that in the city!
Food and staff was amazing!
Nice decorating for New Year’s eve!
Great meal. Lots of choices. Great for celebrations. The service was a bit slow on a busy New Year's Eve.
Always consistently excellent, Casa Orinda was jammed, fully reserved for New Years. Unbelievably, the service was perfect, the food timely and delicious, the evening wonderful. They have perfected the comfort-food/community restaurant and enjoy their decades of success in producing elegant food.
Wonderful place to be on New Year's Eve and any time.
New Years Eve at the Casa was amazing.
The food was exceptional as always.
And there were wonderful Holiday and New Years decorations that made the holiday festive.
The waiters and everyone was all dressed up for the Holiday.
Just wonderful time!
Great server and good food! Soooo noisy! There were several large groups so that probably contributed.
Good food, good service, my wife's prime rib was amazing
We like the decor but always get seated in the least attractive room (and then we have to wander to see the guns and other artifacts). There is a lot to look at and like here.
The food is good and the portions are generous. I wouldn't have ordered a side dish of vegetables if I'd know that my sole piccata came with vegetables (but that was a pleasant surprise). Better menu descriptions would be appreciated. Also, my son's sirloin steak was hard for him to cut because it was almost a sphere and it kept flopping over. All was good though and we'll go back once or twice a year.
We had the best waiter ever!!! Very pleasant, friendly and attentive. Wish we knew his name, we would request his table all the time. Food is always delicious!
We love Casa Orinda! We met some friends for dinner for a holiday dinner and all 7 of us ordered the fried chicken which did not disappoint. We also had some Calamari and a beet salad which were both fantastic. Always a great time!
Wonderful, as usual but always special at the holidays!
Great food. We have been 3 times & it’s always good. It was a little loud but it was busy.
A Holiday Tradition!
Always excellent! Love the staff Best fried Chicken!!@
You need some updating with the main dishes. You can do better than just steamed veggies. Boring.
A large group was behaving as if they were at a football stadium chanting and so noisy we couldn’t have a conversation. We complained to the manager who offered to move us. We had already had our first course. She spoke to them about the noise Even the waiter and people bussing the tables had pained expressions. Much to our shock two of the women who accompanied the 6 or so school aged children came to our table to retaliate against us for complaining. They told my sister that “because she is so old she didn’t know how to have fun anymore “. Some role models. Suffice to say we were all offended and wish management had managed the situation differently.
Beautiful Christmas decor!
Great service and great food!
Another wonderful meal at Casa Orinda! It is always so consistent with the quality of the meal, the wait staff are all excellent and we just always have the nicest experience !
I would go back but not during holiday season. It was so loud in our dining room we could not hear each other. After dinner we left and found a quite coffee shop so we could visit.
The prime rib was okay, not the best. My husband loved his fried chicken. Our server never came back once we were served.
For the price I was very disappointed since we had heard the food was amazing.
The food , service were excellent, however we were seated next to a table of people that were very loud. Almost yelling when they spoke to each other and standing over us alot... we were still able to enjoy our meal which would have been perfect otherwise.
Love coming during the holidays to see the decorations.
Food was marginal. Ordered the tasteless mac and cheese fritter balls. The balls came with a dipping sauce served in a plastic take-out salsa-type container -- what a disappointment and poor presentation! Décor appeared dated. Noise level extreme. It was impossible to carry on a conversation without shouting.
Won't make this reservation mistake again. There are many other local restaurant options available that care about the patron's overall dining experience.
Had a fabulous anniversary dinner, they’re famous fried chicken and Saulsberry steak for my husband. Great old-school cocktails, I requested that we be sitting in the main dining room in front of the fireplace, beautiful ambience, old California charm!
Loved it we will be back!
It is always a wonderful place to dine. Everything was perfect - food, service, ambiance.
