    We got our favorite server, Donovan. He always takes good care of us and is very attentive. My husband loved his spare ribs and the Thanksgiving dinner was on point. I did not care for the pumpkin cheesscake. It looked like a big egg yolk with cheesecake underneath it. Hopefully their Thanksgiving dessert will be better next year

    This was our first visit which was prompted by the “Cut of the Week” three course menu offer for locals. Since it was a Tuesday night, it was quiet and not too crowded. All the staff were very attentive and pleasant. Julian our server was outstanding. He did a great job explaining the menu offerings and the two featured wines paired with dinner, a French Chardonnay with our basket of assorted fresh bread and mixed salad. For dinner a French Pinot Noir which paired nicely with our entree choices of seared salmon and filet mignon. Both were cooked just right and delicious. The included pumpkin Bundt cake for dessert was unfortunately too dry for us. We were already full, so perhaps just as well. All in all, an excellent value considering the top notch food and two glasses of great wine for $65 a person. We’ll definitely be back, and asking for Julian. Thanks.

    We appreciate that. We are on our way to a show, and they got us seated and served as quickly as possible. The fire alarm went off for quite a while with no explanation to us. For the amount of money that we spent our food was OK. Nothing over-the-top fabulous.

    We ordered the $68 Steak and Frites med & the steak was so overcooked that it was inedible, and the fries were so undercooked that they were limp. I would love to say this was the worst thing, but the fire alarm going off and no staff coming to us to let us know if we were in imminent danger was actually worse. A nearby patron got out of her seat and found someone to ask if we should be evacuating the premises because the wait staff just continued on as if the flashing lights and piercing horn was not happening. Eventually, when the sirens stopped, staff came and told us that it was a false alarm...thanks!

    First time and it did not disappoint. We will be back on our next visit. The steaks were cook to perfect temp. The sides were great. And the Warm Butter Cake..OMG…a must no matter how much you have are ready eaten.

    The smoker was broken so we unable to have the Smoked Manhattan and Smoked Boulevardier, we are whiskey aficionados and were extremely disappointed to not be able to try their Specialty Cocktails. We arrived wanting to order the Roasted Mary''s Chicken, but unfortunately we were told by the server that many items had changed on the menu and they were no longer offering this dish. Additionally, there were several salads and other entrees still listed on the menu, but no longer offered. While the food we had was good, it was a disappointing experience. We will think twice before eating at Charlie Palmer again as they need to have an updated menu. We are considering cancelling our previously made reservations for December.

    Our server was absolutely wonderful! We had the filet oscar and it was delicious, and the baked potatoes were outstanding. The soups and salads we ordered were all great, as were the desserts. With great service and fantastic food we definitely recommend Charlie Palmer Steak in Reno.

    We were running a few minutes late, but they assured us that was not a problem. It was show night, with the show being the Lion King and it was evident that a lot of the patrons were going to that show also. The waiter informed us that food was coming out slow because of all the orders. Okay, we picked items that did not require a lot of time to prepare. That being said we selected a wine, and it was quite some time before the waiter came back to tell us they were out of that one and we chose another. He came back again to tell us that the wine we chose (one they feature regularly) was also out of stock. So, we chose another wine which was $40 more than our original choice. To make matters worse, two other tables next to us with the same number of patrons or more that had come in and sat down after us and ordered after us received their drinks and food before we did. After spending over $500 for dinner for 3 adults and 2 children, it doesn't seem we got our money's worth.

    Service was so slow. 45 minutes between appetizers cleared and dinner served. Nothing on the table at all. Could see our drinks ready at the bar for 15 minutes before being picked up and served. Service was so slow that we couldn’t even order dessert.

    Food was terrible. My French onion soup looked like it had an end of a loaf of wheat bread versus a crostini with a piece of unmelted cheese. Many bottles of wine were out. It was very disappointing… and then heard they failed a good inspection.

    We took advantage of the Happy Hour menu which was a bit limited and were very happy with the Wagu burger and the covered potato but the skewers were very disappointing for the price. The service was excellent and friendly, quick and efficient. Seated out in the bar on a slow Monday at 5pm by the rail so the ambience was loud from the bar and onlookers walking around the restaurant row. For the price I rated the steak house much higher than the buffet the night before and Chickie Petes the day before that both in quality of food and service. I look forward in visiting again possibly on the Cut of the Week sent to locals

    We arrived for dinner at 6:30 to find out that they were running almost TWO HOURS behind. They sat us and promptly told us that anything cooked isn't going to be out for at least an hour, so if we were going to see the show at 8, we should probably avoid those things. Blaming things being behind on the fact there are two different shows that night shouldn't be relevant when you have a restaurant of a fixed size. I understand that sometimes a restaurant can get busier and backed up 20 to 30 minutes, but two hours is clearly mismanagement.

    I ordered a steak frite (the menu said it was Wagyu beef), if was very chewy, if not tough. Our booth was dirty, I found someone's coat on the floor. My husband's fish was just average, we could do better at home.

    Dinner was fabulous & service was wonderful. Only downfall was that it was show night at the hotel so the wait time once ordering our entrees was an hour & a half which we were informed of, the Cesar salad had a little too much of a fishy taste & the burger did not stay well put together. It was falling apart all over the place & the bun got really soggy.

    Great meal. Our Server, Cody was very attentive and also pro-active to get us served casually but quickly enough to make our show. Our busboy was excellent also- wish I had gotten his name, but always there refilling our waters and was quick to box up our leftovers and also let us know that we couldn't take it into the show so we'd allow time to bring it back to the car. All in All a great experience and wonderful "date night"!

    Got there at 5:15, killed time and had a drink at the bar. All this was wonderful. We sat down at 6 pm thinking we would have plenty of time to eat before our show. By 7:15 our food was not only not prepared, but no sign of it coming out could be seen. Our server was wonderful in trying to get our order out, but the kitchen was too backed up. The overall issue that occurred was bad management not being able to accommodate their patrons. We never got dinner, we closed out so we could make our 8 pm show.

    We ordered the seafood tower, all of it was greasy and delicious. We also ordered the Alaskan king crab legs! Wow they were amazing! But the meal was truly exceptional because of our waiter Loren J. He was absolutely the best.
