Chianti Il Ristorante
Beautiful experience from start, throughout to finish. Superb food. Will come back. 🌞
Sorry. we requested seats by window a week in advance . Upon arrival were put in middle table while window tables were empty . Waiter said was not his business to arrange tables . Some other guests were moved to windows after they requested it while we were not ... Why were we not given window ? there were several.
Also our special occasion was disregarded. Not the Chianti we have been used to for over ten years ...
Each time we go to Chianti we tell ourselves we should go more often. Unfortunately, we have not yet realized that goal, but we are telling ourselves that once again. On a busy Saturday evening, we enjoyed a wonderful meal. Appetizers of Prosciutto and Mozzarella, spicy calamari, and beef cheeks all were terrific. Truffles were featured on numerous dishes, and my wife had and loved the homemade pasta prepared simply with olive oil and finished with truffles. I had a special that featured orechiette with guanicole and rabbit, and it was delicious. Our server, Erica, was fantastic.
If you’re looking for a quiet place, this would not be for you. But everything was great!! Thank you!
My husband and I were out for our 32nd anniversary and the service, wine and beef fillet were excellent. What we did not expect was how loud it was; no music was playing, just the volume of the other diners talking meant there was no way to use a normal tone of voice and be heard across an intimate table for two. Also, the seafood special I ordered, salmon, was dry and overcooked.
My husband and I took our newly engaged daughter and her fiancé out to celebrate at Chianti’s because it’s an exquisite restaurant. We didn’t know it was restaurant week and that didn’t affect our reservations. We got right in despite the long waiting line and had wonderful service. 3 of our dinners were the specials: 2 penna a la vodka and mine was the chicken marsala. They loved the penna dish and my husband love his beef tenderloin. My chicken was dry, not with much sauce and not flattened which might have reduced the dryness. I did ask if more sauce was available to put in my take home container but that wasn’t possible. I’ll still come back, just will order a different dish.
Service and food was very good. Expect to pay a premium price for good food and service. Tables are close together so noise level was high.
We enjoyed a great dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. Two of the diners had Maple Manhattans and we have tried to recreate these at home-that good! The food and service were excellent. My husband and I ordered the restaurant week special menu. No downsizing or skimping on the dishes. Our friends had two of the evening's specials, both were pleased. We probably overstayed our welcome, but we enjoyed the evening and experience so much.
Everything was very good; the short ribs were spectacular.
We were there for restaurant week and were thrilled with the selection, service & value.
We each had a glass of ...Chianti, it was delicious, temperature perfect.
We went during the fall 2019 restaurant week. We were disappointed with most of dishes. The bread pillows with prosciutto were okay, the bread was very dry and crunchy, overcooked. The prosciutto was good. The arugula salad was very dry. The short rib entre was excellent with very good flavor. The chicken and mushroom Marsala was the worst we have had. The chicken was nearly impossible to cut with a knife, had no flavor and was quite dry (there was no sauce whatsoever on the plate). Somehow the mushrooms were well flavored with the Marsala. The desert was very good. The service was excellent.
Food was delicious except gnocchi appetizers were hard as a rock. Not sure what happened. The rest of the meal was delicious. Great value for restaurant week
Great food, great service, fun place, can't wait to go back.
Food is 😋 yummy!! Great place to with family and friends!
Excellent service and food. Go to place for dinner when friends are in town. (they insist)
Quality food...Service was excellent....waitstaff were attentive to any needs
We went into Chianti for Restaurant Week. This was not our first Chianti experience. We were very happy with the special menu. The food was terrific and an amazing throwback price.
The dining room is a little crowded, with tables very close together. The room was a bit loud, but not as bad as many area restaurants.
One of our dinners never went in. It finally came out when the rest were almost done. Underwhelmed by the dinner.
Ambiance and service were very good. Liked that owner/manager was very friendly and welcoming and checked on us several times. Food was excellent. Only would have liked to get more of the apps for the money.
We were seated next to a rehearsal dinner party and the noise was overwhelming. The large party of about 30 overwhelmed the staff causing slow service. The noise made the evening intolerable.
Sorry this use to be my favorite restaurant but I think you should know the service was not good and the rabbit was cold and dry. My Pasta was dry and I requested a little sauce - that took 20 minutes to get. My husband's meal was done at that point. I will say the wine and apps were very good.
A delicious well paced dinner with attentive service. Request the secluded table in the hallway if you’re looking for a quieter experience.
Went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner. The food was good but the service lacking. I requested a candle for my girlfriends dessert through the open table app. It was not done and I know they had candles as they were brought out to another table for a birthday.
The other issues I had was that every table in the restaurant was offered fresh grated cheese. We were not. Once we were about a 3rd of the way through, I finally got my steak knife and a bowl for my girlfriends clam shells. Lastly our check was brought while we were in the middle of eating dessert. Rushing your guests isn't a great way to have them want to come back.
Incredible food, incredible service, intimate environment! We had dinner with our daughter and parents while visiting the area. The staff at Chianti helped create a very special evening for us. We hadn't seen each other in awhile and they made sure we were well attended to, while at the same time not pressuring us. We were able to enjoy amazing food and drinks and each others company. Thank you for a special memory! Would highly recommend!
It was very loud, but I guess nothing can be done about that. The group all ordered different tihngs, all were very good.
We eat here whenever we are in Saratoga. Service and food are excellent. I wish we were in town more often.
A friend of mine and I went there and had dinner. I ordered the penne with vodka sauce as a side dish for the both of us to share. Thought it was in the best I ever had. I had the Reale Beef Short Rib and it was very tender and tasty. My buddy had the Hudson Valley sliced Duck and he was very happy with his and this guy is the pickiest person I ever met when it comes to food. Although I like a smaller menu like they have there because that means to me that they really know how to properly cook the items on the menu I would have liked a little more choice in the vegetable and potatoes that were served with the meal. The food was great, we are definitely going back again. The only knock I have is, if it is just two people that the tables are ridiculously small.
Always great! We had an issue with our entree order but the server took care of it and brought a new dinner!
We went for a birthday celebration. The food was wonderful and the service was fabulous. The place is a little noisy but we managed to enjoy ourselves thoroughly despite that.
Excellent restaurant in Saratoga the food is always fantastic highly recommend you won’t be disappointed
Chianti: only farm raised fish, too much salt, no noise absorption otherwise above average enough
When we arrived, we immediately noticed that the noise level was high, however we requested a table outside where it was much quieter. We were seated quickly, even though we were a little early for our reservation and it was crowded. The food and the service were both excellent. Our waiter, John, was terrific. The food was very well done - delicious. I had the pork shank special, and it was terrific. My friends each had a different dish, and everyone remarked on the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was incredible and the service was amazing.
Sadly disappointed-upon arrival we were seated in a back room next to a table of 17-when we asked what time they were dining we were told 6:30-7:00. Our reservation was for 5:45, thought we had enough time before their arrival. Within in 10 minutes they arrived and the noise level in the room went off the scale so we asked to be moved and were seated at an outside porch table. Our waiter arrived quickly and took drink orders for 2 of the 4 of us and seemed to forget there were 2 more people at the table. Appetizers (salads) were good but the pasta was fair. It was barely warm and my husband and our guest said there was no lobster in the lobster dish. Our wine arrived when our meal was almost over although I could see it sitting on the bar waiting to be served. When we asked for the check it arrived but sat at the table for 15 minutes before being processed. I've always loved Chianti's but will consider other venues when dining again.
Our dinners were excellent, the swordfish special the best I've ever had! Great service. Patio needs to add better cushions for those HARD iron chairs.
Overall a very good evening as we were able to sit on the patio and avoid the noise inside. Food was excellent ( especially the braised rabbit) prices were reasonable and service was OK. It was a very busy night and the restaurant was packed for happy hour And I mean packed and completely noisy to the point of shouting. We dined about 6:30 just as happy hour was ending and were not impacted because of sitting on the patio.
Great food and seevice
Place is always full of great energy
Seemed as if they were short staffed so service wasn’t exceptional - felt fast and rushed
awesome --- homey ---- simply precious -- PERSONAL CONTACT WITH THE CHEF adds a great deal to guests that I bring in.
