Cibo Wine Bar - Yorkville
Our server would disappear for over 20 mins each time. Did not check on the table or ask if we needed anything. The appetizers had poor presentation and were very small - not worth the value at all. Main course was cold. Overall bad experience for a group of 6 people.
Great service and nice hostess who was very friendly and accommodating
Great service and terrific food.
We were seated for about 2.5 hours for a birthday dinner and the restaurant brought over dessert with candles which was a really nice touch.
Our trips to Toronto always include the Cibo Wine Bar. On this occasion we planned a Birthday celebration and overnight stay around Cibo. It is by far our favourite restaurant in Toronto. It has a homey European feel with the staff feeling more like family members then the server professionals that they are!
Thanks to Victoria, Sarah, Leyla, Elyse and Truc for ensuring that our evening was special !
Food was delicious, service was quite slow. Overall, it was a great experience.
The restaurant was nice and the atmosphere was great. The wine price was ridiculous $28 for a 9oz glass is crazy. Even better is that we were seated at a booth that had duct tape all over the bench to fix an obvious issue. You would think if they are charging $28 a glass for wine they could afford to fix their seats.
My fiancé and I made a reservation at Cibo, despite several open tables the hostess sat us at the very back... basically inside the kitchen. The server barely paid attention to us and she forgot our appetizer. At first my fiancé and I weren’t bother but after several attempts to get our servers attention we felt like our business could of been taken else where. Over-all disappointing experience that made us feel almost like we were not their desired clientele (my fiancé and I are black) I will not be returning to Cibo again.
Fantastic experience will recommend it for family and friends
My favourite table is 334 due to noise level further in the restaurant
Staff is always so cooperative is setting me there - really appreciate the cars
Excellent wines and an amazing wine steward who chose the most exquisite pairings.
Great environment and service! Will be bacm
We had the most amazing time and our server Giovanni was the best. Looking forward to next times
Service was great! Food was different than I remember. Less authentic Italian but still good.
Sadly even though the location and environment is good the food was mostly mediocre .
The dishes are plated and served with care. The food quality is good With a good selection of wines. The staff is pleasant.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We are thrilled you enjoyed your dining experience at Cibo Wine Bar. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! Best, Sarah K. Marketing Coordinator Liberty Entertainment Group
Under construction, calamari was boring.
We've been here couple of times before, but the staff member in the lower floor was the worst we had.
We went in during lunch hours, placed in decent spot.
Ordered food, no updates for ~30min, so I asked our server which then she found out that the kitchen messed up the pizza. Food came out after 40min-ish which is very acceptable so far for me.
I asked for another drink to server, which never came. Gave up on that drink and wanted to ask for our bill which then cost us 10-15mins of just sitting there cause none of the servers came by our section.
We asked a box for our left over pizzas, she came back with small plastic container that doesn't even fit a slice, and told us to 'flip the slices in half and it will fit`. I asked for a pizza box, she replied they don't have such boxes, which I know is a lie cause I've been here couple of times before lol (The table beside us also asked for box which they got. so idk wtf was going with our server's mind to tell us to fold the pizza in half.)
I'm pretty sure it's just that one server, but the servers are the face of your restaurant and I was very disappointed. Don't think will come back here anymore.

Everything from service, to food, to ambiance was amazing !!!
Amazing food and service!
We made a reservation and after checking in with the hostess; we waited 20mins for our seat. We then saw a few other people who came in after us get their tables (most were walk-ins). After the 20mins, the hostess asked me for my name again; after which we were seated (10mins after the fact) in the nosiest part of the restaurant- even though we indicated on OpenTable that it was our Anniversary wanted a private seat . After ordering our food- it arrived in under 10mins which surprised us because we ordered a Pizza and Arancini balls. Of course, this wasn't made fresh and the arancini was room temp and the breading stale. The pizza was also room temp. After having to wait so long, although we made reservations; we were disappointed by the ambiance, the food and the hostess in particular.

This restaurant seems to be a high end restaurant in a high end neighborhood, while the food quality is way worse than what you can imagine and comparing it to the price they charge, one would avoid it permanently!
Our server was excellent. Went above and beyond. Really impressed.
This is my second time eating at Cibo - first time on King, second time in Yorkville. Didn’t love it the first time but decided to give it another try as my daughter wanted to eat there with friends for her birthday. I am not planning to go back again. I really like the decor, ambience, and location but the food was disappointing. Also, I called in advance that night to request a slice of cake and a candle be delivered to my daughter’s table and mentioned it to the hostess when we arrived. They never delivered the cake.
Arrived at 11am so the restaurant was quiet. The brunch menu is short but one can always fall back to the regular menu offerings. My eggs benny with smoked salmon was delicious. The drinks offered for brunch were all half price so that was really nice.
Our wait person Kate was friendly and efficient and overall it was a great way to kickstart the day.
Cibo in Yorkville never disappoints. One of our favourite dinner spots in the city. We had eggplant parmigiana to start and pizza for main course. Both were delicious. The wine list is extensive and has something for every taste and budget.
To me CIBO food was average compare to its hype as one the good restaurants in Toronto. We went there from Cambridge to Toronto to get to eat in very nice Italian restaurants but I felt Cambridge/Kitchener/waterloo has better restaurants than CIBO.
I am not going to go back again.
I had placed an order through OpenTable for a dessert to be brought at the end of the meal but it never came and I said it was for a birthday. Please follow up with the location as I have put this request in before for other restaurants through OpenTable and always worked out fine. Disappointed that it did not this time for my moms birthday. It makes me question whether I would use this service again and may as well speak to the restaurant directly in the future.

We asked for quiet table and received one for half an hour - then the other tables filled up and we could barely hear one another. Really Noisy. The food was good. It is a nice restaurant if you don’t mind yelling at your dinner companion.
Great food and service.
Enjoyed the food and wine very much.
This was all of our first times there. The whole menu looked delicious so we ordered a bunch of stuff to share. The food was outstanding, the wine we had was like desert and the service was on point. Over all, a little pricey but we would definitely go back!
I've been here for lunch several times and have enjoyed the food very much. We met friends for dinner on Saturday evening and it got busy which was fine but the noise level became so loud that we really couldn't have a conversation. Not sure what can be done about that but it was disappointing as my friends had never dined there before and I'm sure they won't return. I will return for lunch but not dinner.
Wonderful environment. Great service. Good place to get together with friends.
Didn’t ask our name or if we had a reservation. Had to pick our own table near a window. Service was just okay.
I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. The sommelier was lovely and even gave us samples of wines she thought we would like for next time. The food was amazing and for a good price. I recommend going for their lobster deal on Tuesdays, the lobster risotto did not disappoint. I am mainly writing because our server, Alanna, made the experience. It was some of the best service I have received in awhile (and I am a server working in the industry). She was attentive, kind, and really made our experience that much more perfect.
Staff was friendly but food was disappointing. Sausage appetizer was delicious. Main course was a let down. Ordered carbonara but was not very good. Bolognese was not very flavorful and lacked salt. Overall just not a great meal! Will not visit again.
Had a nice table on top level which gave us great views of the street. As weather was warm the patio area was open. Manicotti dish was good - pizza was large so could def share. Appys were ok - bruschetta and fried veggies.
Had a nice date dinner with the husband. Food was great. I had the lobster ravioli and it was delicious. Calamari was a bit salty but still delicious. the bruschetta was bland needs more flavour . For the dessert, the tiramisu was small in proportion and unattractive, not worth the $10. service was slow, we constantly have to ask the waitress for her attention and took forever when I asked for the bill and it was not busy at the time. Overall, the experience was still great even with small flaws.
will go back for the lobster ravioli for sure. worth to go back. 😊😊😊😊
Waitress interrupted our meal 12 times in 2hrs. Food did not meet expectation. Order of shrimp was served in what seemed tomato sauce. The ambience was nice, restaurant is beautiful and hostess was welcoming and kind.
