We enjoyed dining outside. The food was very good but our waiter did not come to check on us but three times in our 1 1/2 hours at the restaurant. Clyde’s wait staff are not as well trained as Jacksons or Mon Ami Gabi staff. We will continue to visit Clyde’s for the food even though the wait staff is friendly but not good.
They offered both indoor and outdoor dining, but it was cold outside and the indoors was spacious, so we chose indoors. They easily social distanced us from other patrons. The food and drink selection was very good and we all enjoyed the meals and drinks we chose.
Clyde's now has propane heaters in the patio area -- about one for each table. Even with temps in the 40s, we were comfortable.
We live in Baltimore, but had to go down to Reston on an errand. Never had been to Clyde’s before, but decided to give it a try based upon the reviews and the menu I saw on line. Wow! It was a great choice.....one of the best meals we’ve had out in ages, especially at their price point. I had the chicken and my husband had the trout. Both were excellent and the portions very generous. Covid protocols were carefully followed and service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will return!
Celebrating a friend’s birthday. Service, food and cocktails were marvelous!
We made reservations for our 16 wedding anniversary, and the food was not hot or tasted good .
The appetizers was the fried Goat cheese in honey . This tasted very good and was the highlight of the meal and experience.
My wife’s meal did not look or taste like anything special , her dish was the Cuban sandwich . When the dished came to the table it looked like a sandwiched squished between two pieces of french bread and lacked taste and passion, the boiled ham was the cheapest ham that could go on a sandwich , the pulled pork was dry and the sandwich had no taste . My wife asked for some kind of spicy mustard or Mayo and she was brought yellow mustard . This did not help with the taste .
I had the short rib and it looked sad on the plate . The menu description and what was on the plate was very disappointing . The purée cauliflower was not puréed ( chunky mashed cauliflower) the spinach was not fresh ( frozen) no taste and the short rib had no taste , it was liked it was boiled in water , it was tuff and not tender but I had to salt and pepper this several times to just eat it . For the price it was not worth it .
We were very disappointed because a few years back we stopped here and the food and beverages were great .
My wife and I will really consider ever coming back to this restaurant. Like I said I had hoped that this special night for us the food could of looked and tasted good . It really felt and looked like no passion in the kitchen , we eat with our eyes first so when the plates hit the table the expectations and experience left the building .
We had a great outdoor dining experience. Excellent service and delicious food. The outdoor heaters are perfect for a mild winter day. I will return soon! I’d recommend Clyde’s without any hesitancy!
We usually go to Clyde's Willow Creek Farm but decided to visit the Reston restaurant for a change for New Year's Eve. The appetizers and entrees were great and we really like the decor/theme of the restaurant. And Reston Town Center was still festively decorated along with ice skaters in the rink. It was a really nice evening out.
Been dining here for years. Always get treated like family. It’s also one of the few places I can eat without a worry about my shellfish allergy. They can always accommodate. Great staff.
Always a wonderful experience even in the midst of a pandemic
Family Christmas Eve tradition. This year, the restaurant was quieter than normal due to COVID. We enjoy the atmosphere. Food and service was excellent as usual. If you are concerned about COVID protocols, the staff is doing a great job to ensure your safety and theirs.
Enjoyed the dining experience. Looking forward to having the wonderful experience again.
Everything was very good at CLyde's on Dec. 23rd. Food was very good.
The food is excellent!
Trout is especially good.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Clyde's of Reston. The server was extremely attentive and the food was just oustanding!
Great service and amazing staff. Everything was quick but never felt rushed. The server was an amazing women, definitely would go again.
Our dining experience was spectacular and the customer service was top notched. Thank you for helping us with bringing in the holiday season and it was a memorable outing.
Great restaurant to celebrate the holidays!
Always great food and service. Comfortable, casual atmosphere and vibe with upscale themed decor. Never rushed by waitstaff. Relaxing experience. Experience at Clydes is always consistent with high quality food and service. Glad to see they were doing business during these trying times.
Despite the restaurant being almost empty, our service was not good. Beautiful with the holiday decorations and ice skating rink, but unfortunately the dining experience wasn’t as delightful
Chose patio dining for safety, but it was noisy next to the skating rink and got rather cold after the heater ran out of propane with no refill available. Food was good but difficult to enjoy given the conditions. Probably go back after COVID-19 during warmer weather and no skaters.
Little cool but last day to eat outside.
My friend and I sat outside on a beautiful Sunday. The wait staff was attentive and the Eggs Benedict were delish. I also enjoyed the $4 Bellinis that went along with the brunch. I also recommend the fried goat cheese appetizer.
Clydes is always good.
Good selection, good food, quiet and comfortable.
Unfortunately, our food was mediocre at best. A shrimp salad was ordered and had to be sent back bc there were 2 shrimp on the plate. A bowl of chili came that was borderline cold to lukewarm. The milkshakes were good, but the paper straws disintegrated while enjoying the dessert and the spoons they brought to finish were regular tablespoons so not long enough to prevent getting ice cream all over your hands. When we arrived for our reservation, we were seated at a table right by hostess stand so the cold air was on us from the front entrance throughout the meal. We understand Covid regulations, but management should think through which tables they put into use under these circumstances. We were told they were unable to move us. Not a good way to start the evening.
Our waitress was so attentive and the food was on point
They did not have enough heaters for outside
Made reservations for a Birthday celebration. During the reservation process it asks if there is a celebration.
At the end of our course the waiter came by and took our plates and gave us the check. Didn't mention if we wanted desert or the Birthday celebration.
It Was great atmosphere outside with Town Center Christmas tree lit. There were heaters but apparently several did not work. We had table for 4 and asked for another heater and never got one. Even though there seemed to be extras sitting around. One heater is really only sufficient fir two people maximum.
They were doing well with masks and distancing so felt safe outdoor dining!
Sat outside; heater was great.
service was fantastic.
biscuit app was pathetic, but the burger was great!
Delicious food and diners were spaced out so felt comfortable eating inside.
Their mask policy was over the top but it was a great experience nonetheless.
We went to Clydes for Thanksgiving. Our server was great. Happy, professional and very attentive. The menu had a variety of choices. My mother had the turkey dinner and it was very good! I had the trout which is always fresh and delicious. I had the bread pudding for dessert which was moist. More like custard than bread pudding. Absolutely delicious. We were at the Reston location which is a great festive atmosphere.
It was much better eating inside then the long long lines outside waiting for pick up
Excellent food and service, as always!
Service outstanding; food was nothing more than meh for one diner, so a true rating would be more like 3.5 to 3.75 on food quality.
A 7:00 reservation on a Tuesday night and they were already out of soup? First filet was sent back as the quality of meet was poor. Second was better. Waitress was very average.
Plenty of outdoor seating with heat so you can still feel comfortable.
Great experience. We were seated safely outside, well spaced from other diners and overlooking the ice rink. Food was perfectly prepared and the service was attentive without being obsequious. Look forward to returning.
