Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Orland Park
My friends & I always enjoying dining at CH & the food is delicious. However, our past visit Sunday was not positive. We made an 11:30 reservation for 5 people. The first 2 to arrive were told by the hostess that they could be seated when there were 3 out of the 5 guests there. When I arrived we went to the hostess & were then told when 4 guests arrive, we could be seated. Our other 2 friends arrived & we were seated finally. Server (never gave her name) came over immediately & asked if we wanted drinks. Told her we just arrived & needed a few minutes. She came back twice within 5 minutes & while we appreciated the punctuality, we had just sat down-were saying hello-had not even opened a menu or knew what we wanted to drink. The same thing happened when ordering our lunch, twice the waitress came back and we were not ready to order. Fast forward to our meals - 2 of our diners had soup. Before they were even 3/4 done, our entrees arrived. Before any of us were finished with our meal, the waitress appeared with our check & asked if we were going to have anything else. We were stunned, as we had not even finished lunch & didn't know yet if anyone wanted dessert. She set down the check as we continued eating. No thank you or have a nice day! At some point during this time, the manager came over & asked if everything was ok. We were busy laughing & catching up & said yes. The manager was on her headset telling someone that this table was available, that table was cleaned etc. At that point we were feeling even more rushed, as if they were trying to get rid of us sooner so they could turn the table. There were MANY open tables around us. While we appreciated that our waitress split our checks (1 friend had points & another had a large bill) & did check in frequently to see if we needed anything, it was disappointing due to the lackluster service & feeling rushed. Arriving at 11:30 & out by 1 should be acceptable for lunch.
The food is decent but the service sucked. The hostess seemed to be tired and didn't want to be bothered. The server didn't refresh any of our waters which is something I've never experienced. I also requested a refill on my lemonade and he didn't bring me a fresh glass with ice. He just topped off the original drink and didn't add ice. WHO DOES THAT? Then I waited 20 minutes for valet to bring my car! Not a good first experience! I'm not sure if I am willing to give this restaurant a second chance.

Usually service is outstanding and Cooper's Hawk gets 5-stars across the board. However, staff this visit seemed too busy and stretched thin. The side room was nice for quieter noise level, but we felt forgotten.

I had the chef’s November special of butternut squash ravioli with shrimp, lobster and scallops in a cream sauce that was delicious. My husband had the lettuce wraps and wanted only the chicken and wontons. That’s what he got and was very satisfied as was I. We were also surprised with a birthday treat of a chocolate dipped strawberry and white chocolate truffle - on the house. Cooper’s Hawk is a well run restaurant with outstanding food and service!
The servers should ask everyone if they are a club member. This is the second time that none has asked me, during my visit.

Love Cooper’s Hawk! The way you have trained youremployees to treat customers should be standard everywhere. I didn’t want to score down on the location but I did have trouble with my steak dinner. I ordered the Parmesan crusted steak medium and my steak came really tough however Amy the manager saved the day and made me feel comfortable explaining to her the situation. She even comforted me because I was under the weather and wasn’t feeling well. Thank you Amy for assisting and making my birthday an amazing one!

Our server was extremely slow. We waited almost 20 minutes just for our drink order to be taken. An hour total to get our food. Most of our food was cold when we received it.

This was my first time coming to Coopers Hawk and was everything and more. The service was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was delicious. The wine was delicious as well my was Red Romance. The all around fer6l of the place was awesome. I will certainly come back and recommend to everyone
Food was outstanding as usual. Service was awesome! Only issue was it seemed like there was a block on reservations from 5-8pm. We could only get a 4:45 or 8:00 or later reservation, even tho there were at least 15 tables vacant between 5:00-7:00.
I had a reservation at 7 I didn’t get seated til 8. Other than that I had a good time and food was tasty. I ordered the steak and shrimp kind of disappointing to see 3 shrimp on my plate for 30 dollars. Wish we got more food.
We are wine club members and make reservations for 6:30. We were not seated till 7:20. So not very happy about that! Then we could barely get to our table because they are SOOOO close together. There is NO personal space at this local at all!! Next my husband and I both ordered soup and it was ice cold!!! Our server was very nice and brought us bad so hot soup!! I would never go back to this location!!
There was confusion when they went to seat me, I ended up waiting another 15 minutes when there were plenty of tables available, but other than that, everything was good.
I also think their prices are a bit on the high side as well.
I would still recommend it. But in my opinion I probably won’t be back. The hamburger I had was ok. I’ve had better. But what threw me off was the French fries weren’t crispy and tasted like they were sitting too long before being served
I can't say enough about the outstanding service we received from the staff. We were a large party that had to be rescheduled at the last minute. The staff worked with us to get it done. The service was courteous and efficient. The food also was outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The entire evening spent there was very enjoyable. Service was very good, wine was delicious and the meal was most satisfying! Well worth the travel through the 4.5 inches of rainfall that day and evening! Enjoy being a member of the Wine Club as well!
We dine at Coopers Hawk frequently and are long time members of the wine club. Unfortunately, the experience we had at the Orland location continues to disappoint. We would much rather go to a different location (Burr Ridge or New Lenox), but thought we would give Orland another try, based on its location.
From the moment we sat down the waitress was terrible and it continued to get worse. Multiple requests for bread, water, wine, etc. She would say, I’ll be right back with...and return much later with something else. At one point we had 8 wine tasting glasses and an empty bread dish sitting at the end of the table. The appetizers arrived with no where to put them.
The meal was very rushed by the waitress. Our meals were coming out before we finished our appetizers. Thus again creating a plate problem-how many plates and dishes can you get on one table. And than one guest had to wait for the dressing which was delivered by someone other than the waitress.
The bill situation was no better. Multiple times the bill was brought to the table, returned, and redone. At one point a manager came to the table to explain to us about a certain credit card not being able to be used. We are not even sure if we were credited the proper amount in reward points.
So, why did we remained calm and not complain that evening? Main reason was we were with our daughter and her friend and did not want to make a issue about something we should have expected from this location.
We will not be back for dinner at the Orland location when there are so many better options in the area.
Cooper's Hawk is my favorite restaurant to go with my family! I have visited this restaurant more than any other restaurant. Being members makes it even more enticing to attend. I always get great service and the food is always delicious! They also have the best tasting wine anywhere!!! Being wine club members and receiving rewards throughout the year is more reason to attend this restaurant. The look and feel of the restaurant is great for family dining or a romantic evening with your significant other. This is my top choice for dining during lunch or dinner.

This was our first visit after the renovation and the whole experience was excellent. Would definitely make a return visit.
I came as a wine club member to see the remodel. It is beautiful. Looks way better than it used to. The server, Tabitha, was excellent. She filled both our water glasses each time they were empty and let us enjoy our bottle of wine before ordering. Just was a little sad that no candle for birthday. Just two candies.
Service was wonderful, and the food was excellent. The server of our wine tasting was not as efficient as servers in the past. We enjoyed our experience here!
This was our first time at this location. I know that it is newly remodeled, but the atmosphere didn’t seem as intimate as the Burr Ridge location.
