Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Orland Park
Portion size was smaller than my last visit for the same meal.
Server was very slow and never asked my husband once if he wanted a refill on his drink.
A wonderful meal and evening. Was able to try 3 different wines(which we didn’t care for any) and ended up getting the Bloody Mary which had a ton of extras and a small glass of craft beer, and a fresh juice paloma. Fresh pretzel bread came for the table, and wife got a trio of filet medallions with 3 different crusts( horseradish, Parmesan, and blue cheese) came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I got surf and turf which had multiple choices, but I settled on 2 filet medallions with Parmesan crust and 3 potato crusted sea scallops with the same sides. Prompted for desert and we declined but waitress brought out free chocolate covered strawberries as an anniversary gift, wonderful surprise. Highly recommend, everything was cooked to perfection and great quality.
We always have a delicious meal when we eat at Cooper's Hawk. All of the staff is very nice.
The food and service was great. I would recommend a reservation as it can get quite busy. We arrived a bit early and were seated almost immediately.
Great date night with the hubby
Always a great experience at this location! Lunch was fantastic and so was my server
Everything was great. Rosa was very attentive but not intrusive.
Not super crowded staff was awesome and wine and food was great!!!!
Our waitress was amazing but the food was horrible. Will not to there ever again
Great wine and tasting plus food good too
Great experience. It was a little chilly in the room we were put in but it was quieter in there (we were off the main dining room).
I love this restaurant. Everything I get to choose where we go.. This is where I pick.
Overall good experience with the exception of being cold. The dining area in the rear was a bit chilly particularly if you were sitting by a window.
Bread came out when entrees were served instead of well before like expected. Carrots in the vegetable medley were much harder (raw) than we have ever seen. Lights seemed to be on rather bright for an evening meal on valentines weekend. Entrée was served to the table before the soup course was completed.
We had a great time and the Valentine's day chef recommendation of filet medallions and parmesan crusted lobster tail was awesome! They should have it full time on the menu.
We needed to bond and have a nice dining experience and Coopers overall gave us that, Thank you
Food & service was outstanding. We were sat by an exit door so the cold air (5f outside) was quite uncomfortable while trying to eat. And the noise level was high and made conversation difficult. Of course, being Valentine's Day, they were very busy so that could add to the noise.
Service was slow I believe it was because we Where in a Room basically alone away from the rest of the people Which I believe it made it harder for our server to accommodate us Only one piece of bread for the 4 of us To with a dinners were good the other QI think they needed to be cooked a little bit longer They looked watery in the plate
The service was great the food was excellent and the wine just the best! We had a little problem finding a parking spot but it was because of the date Valentine’s Day. Overall it was great
Met with Amy, Rebecca and Lyn great experience for a early afternoon valentines dinner.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day early. A great experience with a much smaller crowd. I would time it this way again. We got more attention while tasting and our fillet dinner was excellent!
Food was wonderful. Service ok but had to wait a loooonnnng time to get my drink. Although my friend got hers pretty quickly. They didn't have my VO so I sent wait staff back for a Canadian Club and it took really long to get it. She said the bar was backed up? Really? I saw 2 people in the bar and not that many in the restaurant. I suspect she was busy though. But I didn't let it ruin my lunch and the food was very very good. Short ribs & ? noodles of some type.
Order a strip specia!. Requested shrimp be state's instead of fried..
What I was served reassuring that would be used for popcorn shrimp. Very snalll.
If you could not prepare the shrimp using the type of shrimp prepared my request method, then tell me instead of substituting an inferior product, serving it then charging me the $24 price for it.
My favorite place for food and wine!
Epic Fail- order steak filet. With blue cheese crusting medium. When order was brought out the filet was burnt. When I scraped away the blue cheese crusting, the top of the filet was burnt! Waitress called over and was embarrassed by the burnt filet. She took the filet and the remaining part of my dinner which included burnt(grilled) broccoli! The waitress promised a new filet asap and agreed not to put blue cheese crusting. After 20 to 25 minutes, the waitress said the steak was almost ready and she would have a manager come to the table. At that point, I asked the waitress to just put it in a to-go box. The manager delivered the to-go box, apologized and took care of bill. Manager explained the kitchen has the burners in oven too high. To cook the filet properly it would 30 minutes. My response was simply if you can’t cook it right take it off menu! Epic fall again- when I opened the to-go box the replacement filet was again burnt (top bottom and side.) Manager knew the steak was burnt but put to-go anyway. Embarrassing for Cooper’s Hawk. Manager gave us card for complimentary dinner glass of wine and apps. Why would I or anyone go back?
We had a great time will go back
It was my first time there, and it was amazing the food is great and the chocolate wine is awesome
The food was excellent. The server didn’t know anything about the wine of the month. She forgot the dessert order and my sister had the wrong burger but the waitress never came back to see how the food was or refill our drinks. There was a large party next to us that were extremely loud and should should have been in the partly room. this is why we drive to the New lenox location instead of the 5 mins to Orland. The clientele and staff are less than desirable in the Orland location.
