Corcoran’s Grill & Pub

Went here specifically to watch a basketball game. The place was packed but I was still able to reserve a table same day. The atmosphere for watching a game is great but the service was very slow. We all got burgers and they were all overcooked, but drinks were great.
Way too noisy. Was led to believe it was a good restaurant that had a bar. But it was just a bar with a good menu. There is a big difference.
Very nice staff and servers! Beautiful classic decor! I definitely will go back!!
Loud just ok service
Veri good food, highly recommend the corner beef sandwich
New years eve at Corcoran’s before heading across the street to Second City.
Food was very good, great drink selection, very friendly staff... what else do you need to know?
Wonderful Irish pub atmosphere. Great food and great service.
Nachos were gross, but the cheese curds were awesome!
Small venue in an old building with cozy nooks and booths. Dressed for the holidays. Food was awesome! Could use a few mire severs but it was the holidays after all. Crowded but manageable.
Was a great experience.
Great brunch spot, especially the mimosa package!!
Wait staff attentive, food was good and served fast. Various appetizers were very good. Shepherd's Pie and Burgers were delicious! 2 of our party disappointed no Reubens on menu - strange i agree. Both had Buffalo Chicken wraps instead and not thrilled with plain hot sauce on chicken insisting not Buffalo. Would definitely come again.
Tasty food, great location, fun Irish Pub atmosphere. Right across the street from 2nd City!
3:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Service was great! Didn't catch her name, but she was very attentive and did her job well. My fish&chips were good! Solid wings! I'm glad it was slow because I was wearing Michigan stuff, and this is ALL Michigan State! Ha! It's a cool place.
Was in the area for a second city show and stopped by Corcoran’s based on a recommendation. It was a little louder than anticipated and more of a bar than restauraunt which was not conveyed. But still really good food and good beer selection. Overall a good stop!
Enjoyed the patio
Sat outside on a beautiful summer evening and enjoyed an Aperol Spritz during happy hour. Afterwards, enjoyed a delicious chicken and parmesan fries. Yum!
Excellent food, excellent value and well situated for pre-show dinner before the Second City performance across the road.
I was really glad we could sit on the patio since the crowd noise inside was extremely loud.
It was a perfect evening weather wise and we sat outside and watched the world go by! Food is always good and I particularly enjoyed one of the specialty drinks - a margarita sangria. Emer was our waitress and she was very attentive. Always enjoy my visits!
Location location location...right across from 2nd City. If not for that...no reason to go.
Bottomless mimosas were amazing!! For $13, you can’t beat it!
Great place to eat! Food was amazing and the drinks were also.
Despite the fact that we had reservations, the restaurant was not ready for us. When I told the young male server that we had a reservation for seven people, he went to the back of the place to find out what to do from a female server. He then tried to seat us at a table with high bar chairs, but I told him that that would not do since we were all senior citizens who would find that next to impossible. He again consulted with the female server, and she came up to me and said that if we did not want to sit there, we could try to find places outside, on our own, offering no help at all. When I asked what good making a reservation made, she said that the servers were not responsible for reservations, and that if I wanted to complain, she would give me the phone number of a manager and would explain how to contact him. We decided to squeeze into a booth in the bar area. The food was good; however, I had ordered steak quesadillas , but received chicken instead. They were okay, but not what I ordered. Overall, we survived the experience, but none of us would ever return.
Love this place been here twice to meet our son’s who live in the city for lunch with their girlfriends. Food and service is always great! Love the back area indoor outdoor eating!
What a fun Irish pub! The decor and food were authentic as far as I can tell. You can't get bangers and mash just anywhere. I had salmon with the most delicious vegetable mix, but mainly it seems a beer and sandwich kind of place. It was loud but not impossible to talk.
When subtitles were blocking the basket in a basketball game and a few tables including my own requested they be taken off we were told they couldn’t be. Other TVs (that we couldn’t see from our table) didn’t have subtitles though.
Server takes to long
Great location across from a Second City and nice seating further back. Wait staff was slow but otherwise we really enjoyed it
We had a fabulous dinner this past weekend whiles watching the Michigan State Spartans beat Michigan to take a share of the Big Ten title. From the minute we walked in, the manager and wait staff made sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing! Best fish and chips in the city. Pro tip: order a side of curry sauce to dip the fries into--you will thank me once you try it! Amazing wings, burgers, and corned beef. The crowd is great--some casual, some dressed up. You'll feel comfortable whether you're watching a game or having dinner before a show. I love this place!
Went to Corcorans with some bros for a classic bar dinner. The meal did not disappoint and I liked their cocktail menu.
Good place to stop for a Second City or Zaneys night. I liked the fish and chips. The tacos were good too. A little cold if you sit by the front door, but hey you just can't teach manners anymore, anywhere. That's not Corcoran's fault. The service was excellent.
When our party of 2 arrived, the hostess had the table already set and reserved for us. It was a lively Saturday night so the front half of the place was crowded and a bit too noisy for table talk so she moved us to the back half of the place which was much better. The flatbreads that we ordered were great and generous with the toppings. We had a great time before going to Second City. Highly recommend if you don't mind a chatty pub.
The food was fantastic, though no one came to seat us for twenty minutes, and it was really crowded. It may have just been a really bad day, and my fiancee and i might try it again in the future.
Great location for pre or post second city shows. Very reasonable pricing.
Turkey, Apple & Brie made with 3 slices of turkey roll was VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! 5 other meals were just ok. We were there about a year ago & food was really good! Not sure what changed, but we won’t bother trying again.
Visited the restaurant after making a reservation on OpenTable. I arrived and there is no one to greet patrons. Its a very noisy place filled with wall to wall television screens. When I finally tracked someone down to ask about my reservation the woman told me they had not turned on their reservation system.
She proceeded to look around the restaurant for a table and 5 minutes later told us there was nothing available and we would have to wait. When I asked how long she told me she didn't know but we would be next. Since we had theatre tickets we left the restaurant and would never go back.
It’s always a good sign when an Irish pub plays Irish music! I loved the decor and mood not to mention great food and service!
We had a large group and they were very accommodating . Great atmosphere and good music.
we had a 1:30 pm saturday afternoon reservation prior to a second city performance during the holidays. so many things could have gone wrong BUT nothing did. our party ranged in age from 22 years old to 65, we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. the service, food along with food and drink options met/exceeded our expectations. a few in our party were unfamiliar with corcoran's. We all will return.
We needed a place close to second city, and this was perfect. Friendly service and quality bar food.
