Crouching Tiger Restaurant
Four of us went for an after work casual dinner. The food was great and VERY reasonably priced. We got 4 dishes (3 meat and 1 veggie). The total bill was $55 with tax! Service was friendly and helpful. We're coming back for sure!
Lots of staff but not many fluent in English. Wasn't very busy so able to get to English speaker. Wonder about communication on busy night. Otherwise good food. Large portions reasonably price
So great that Crouching Tiger is open on Christmas Day. It was super busy but we had a wonderful time and the food was excellent. Our thanks go to the chefs and waiters and everyone who spent their Christmas Day working and serving so many.
Food was good, service somewhat slow. Busy night. Noisy children running all around. I'll still go back.
Used to be My Favorite WEST of New York... Consistently GREAT Flavors for EACH Dish. The last THREE times we have gone for Dinner we found the SAME problem as MOST other Chinese restaurants: EVERYTHING tastes the SAME! We have NOW given-up on a place we used to frequent every other week!
We have gone to this restaurant many times in the past and have found the service to be excellent. Since one of our party is allergic to garlic we would ask that that be removed from the dish, they have no problems in doing so.
The food was excellent. We had ma po tofu and magic chili prawns. Both were very spicy and not at all toned down for those who aren’t used to Szechwan food. I
Good food, good service good atmosphere. Great selection for Vegas too.
This used to be my go to Chinese food restaurant until about a year ago when they Musta change kitchen staff and the product which was uniquely the best west of New York has now become ordinary!
I have been dissatisfied the last four times I’ve been there because of the drop in quality so I will no longer be recommending Crouching Tiger to all of my friends... SAD!
Tea smoked duck is the bomb!
We love this restaurant and the very attentive staff!!
Roasted duck their specialty. Big fat plump pieces, deliciously prepared.
Service was great kept bringing out water for us. The only issue was we sat next to a child... who was a little rambunctious but no fault to the restaurant.
Great food & staff a warm and inviting
I had the Xing Jiang Lamb, which was excellent. I’ll definitely be back!
The restaurant has done a good job of updating the decor. The meat entrees were very good, but the combination chow fun was a lacking on meat, seafood and flavor. Still one of my favorite Chinese restaurants.
Out of town guests
Always great food. Had exceptional service this time.
Nice people and pretty good service but very bland, hastily prepared, below average Chinese food
Our family tradition is to eat out at Chinese restaurant on Christmas Day. This has been our restaurant of choice for past 5 years. Food here is always delicious and service was very prompt on this extremely busy day.
Great food. I'm always please with what I order. There are some surprises on the menu too, like the Magic Chili Shrimp. I'm usually a sauce, guy, but this dry and spicy dish with crunchy peppers and plump shrimp, is a delight.
Reservations meant nothing. We waited 40 minutes past the reserved time to be seated. No host, no sign in, and no acknowledgement that we were there waiting for our promised table. It was very busy. While waiting it was still possible to reserve a table on line for the next 15-minute interval. Once seated the service was good and the food excellent.
Another successful meal. Good is always very tasty and service is great. Our server was very polite and helpful with suggestions. Would definitely recommend - food, service, prices are all excellent. Thanks again!
Food was great. Server and manager at the bar were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return!
My moms last night in the Bay Area for her vacation.
I could have given this restaurant 5 stars, but a couple things held me back. They are good however I found the furniture uncomfortable. The bigger thing was that we ordered our starters at two different times, even though the waitress knew I was going to make my selection after my drink arrived (I just needed more time to decide). My husband's starter showed up almost immediately after I placed my starter order. Then later my starter showed up. We made the same error when ordering our entrees. My husband just knew what he wanted and told the waitress. I took me a bit longer to select and tell the waitress. She took his order to the kitchen straight away, before I ordered, thus his entree showed up about 5-10 minutes before mine. Next time, and there will be a next time, we will be sure to order at one time. Oh! The top shelf margarita is TOP SHELF GREAT!!!!!!!
This is the second time we have chosen Crouching Tiger. The waitresses are very friendly with smiles all around. The food is delicious. We had Chow Mien, several chicken dishes, spicy and not so spicy. We will return.
Food not as good as it usually is. I might try it again, but if it's like it was this day that is all
I expected much more given the glowing reviews. The food was pretty basic. Dry saute string bean- some of the beans were good, but there was a high percentage of tough ones. Mu shu pancakes were cold. OK for quick dinner before movies, but nothing to make us want to go back. I don't usually write a review, but I'm doing it this time because I think most of the existing reviews are way too favorable.
Fantastic food. We had the Dry Chicken with Chili, outstanding! The green beans with garlic are amazing.
Food was very good and nice value. The dinning room was very loud, large groups laughing and talking, difficult to have normal conversation.
Celebrated graduation with family & it was great!
Always exceptional and consistent. Fresh and excellent takes on the usual items along with some specialties. Hot and spicy food a specialty - don’t miss the house specials.
1st time here. Wonderful service. We had a party of 8 and tried many dishes. Loved the mushroom chicken and sweet/sour shrimp. Did not love the super spicy beef dish we had. Also enjoyed the potstickers and spring rolls. Not Dan's of the chive dumplings. We would definitely give this place another try.
Excellent, fresh, quality food and friendly service. General Tsao's Prawns were *outrageously good* as were the Asparagus in Black Bean Sauce. Light, fresh, hot...fabulous. Good mixed drinks and a nice wine list. Would go back. Tables could be cleaner, however...ours was sticky and smeared when we arrived, as were other neighboring tables.
Great cold sesame noodles and chicken with mushrooms. The Buddhist soup was somewhat bland so I would stick to wonton or the hot and sour soups.
Delicious varied menu.
Food is good and staff are good about accommodating special requests. Would recommend to friends. Would go again.
I've been here several times, and the service is always quick & dependable and checks regularly to make sure your meal is going well. The food comes out quickly, even when busy. It is very good, but can be a little salty and greasy at times. I really enjoy the food here-- it's a comfort food place (lots of options that go far beyond American Chinese, too, e.g., food like poached fish soup, mapo tofu, etc.). It's not a get-dressed-up to go out place, and it knows that.
