D'Agostino's - Wrigleyville
Great experience! We had 4 kids with us and they were very accommodating-they gave us water cups with lids, crayons and kids coloring menus right away. Food was hot, quick and delicious! Thank you!
I have been coming to Dags since I moved into the neighborhood over 8 years ago. I enjoyed the train that used to be over the tables and sitting in the booths that were by the windows. The remodel took all the character out of the place and made it basic. The train had an engine only. Now all that aside, I made a reservation for 7 people and was sat at a high top table for 4 in the bar area and told that in the future I should make a note if I don’t want to be in the bar. Most places that have high top and low top give you the option to choose. This place does not. Since the remodel, the prices have also gone up quite a bit. The service is ok, but not great and if you aren’t there with a group of 20 or more or drinking a ton of beer, they don’t check much.
The food is still what it was, but that was never great. What made the place was it’s affordability and it’s charm. It’s lost both.
We reserved a table for 11. When we arrived the table they had set up for us had a large pole in the middle. We asked for a different one because we didn’t want a pole obstructing the view of half the group from the other. They said they didn’t have any other tables. It was a very awkward set in a very loud room. The service was very slow. We thought our waitress left in the middle of our meal because we hadn’t seen her in a while and had to track her down for our check. The pizza, toasted ravioli appetizer and turkey wrap were all delicious. I’d recommend going there again for the food with a warning about the lack of customer service.
Service was outstanding !
We were a party of 12 and were treated very well. Everything was executed well.
Pizza was great we ordered three types of crust, very good.
Salads were fresh and dressings good !
We went for Pizza with Santa and had a great experience! We were seated right on time, the food was great and Santa and his reindeer were a highlight of the season for us.
Great accommodating our table of 12. Tara was awesome with keeping our orders straight. We come here every year after a group outing to the theater down the street!
Pizza was average at best.
Don’t care for the remodel. Looks too sterile. Also, the tables are too close together, and there are not enough booths.
D’Agostino’s has the the best thin crust pizza in the City!!
Best thin crust pizza in Chicago!!!!
Handled our group of eight so well. Fast and friendly.
Very good dinner and festive environment. Great place for families
The pizza was delicious and the wait staff was wonderful.
Great experience, love that they have games in the tables!
Good overall. No AC so it was hot inside. Service was ok. Server went missing a few times and we had to ask other people for stuff
We were in Chicago for a Cubs game. We had a group of 6. The good... food was quick to arrive. Caesar salad was very good. Had a combo appetizer and was ok. Service was fair. The server was quick to leave and we had to stop her to take the rest of the order. She did not propose other items. We chose this place as the pizza on the pictures looked awesome. We were all disappointed in the pizza. Sauce was barbeque tasting. Not enough cheese and just blah. I would not go back.
Nice place to sit outside but also looked nice inside. Pizza was good that we tried. Also liked the variety so we could get salad and sandwiches. Good beer selection. If we come to another game we’d go there!!
Delicious deep-dish spinach, green pepper & sausage pizza that satisfied everyone- fresh & plentiful ingredients in great friendly environment.
We hadn’t been to Dags since 2017 and it has a brand new look. And feel! Food still hasn’t changed, same great Dags pies!!!!
We stopped in for dinner before the Cubs Cardinals game. Walked in and got sat down promptly. Service was excellent and the pizza was fantastic!!
The thin crust pizza was delicious with just the right amount of crispiness on the crust. They really added a lot of vegetable toppings to the pizza, which I was impressed with. We also ordered two house salads and a bruschetta. The price point for a group dinner is fantastic, especially for the amount of food you receive. I’d highly recommend for groups of friends, families, etc.
Absolutely great pizza, service and atmosphere. We will be back.
Came for my graduation dinner with my family who is kind of crazy. The staff was all really great and prompt And didn’t mind how crazy my family was. Thanks for a great experience!
Average food and pizza. Don’t expect anything great but good location for Cubs game day fans
Great service. Incredible music. Had a nice little date night here. and the food was right on!
We had a great time. Everyone was so nice and we celebrated my son’s 3rd birthday.
The restaurant was decorated and cheery for the holidays. Food deliciiious. Noise level too loud. Could not talk without shouting.
Yummy pizza! The restaurant had a facelift since the last time we visited. It looks great!
Good for families
They didn’t have our reservation, had to wait 30min, when we got our food it was cold, and my sausage on the pizza tasted bad.
We really enjoyed our experience. The chap who checked us in was amazing. Overall a very good experience for me and my family.
We loved the cozy, old school feel of D'Agostino's before they remodeled. While the remodel clearly delivered a more modern feel, it now just feels like any pizza place, and feels relatively sterile. The food is still good and the staff was friendly, but we went there specifically for the cozy holiday ambiance that we have enjoyed previously. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.
D'ag's didn't seem well equipped to handle my 14-person reservation. We requested a table for 4:30, which I later updated to 5:00pm. When the group arrived we were told the reservation was for 8pm, and that they had just given away a large table. We were seated at two separate tables, which in my mind defeats the purpose of the reservation.
Our server was outstanding! It looked like he was the only front-of-house person working.
The man at the host stand was rude, standoffish, and more interested in turning over tables than providing service. My family comes here every year after a movie-outing, and the experience we had has me rethinking of this is place for that kind of tradition.
Server was more interested in watching the World Series game than taking my order. Pitcher of Lagunitas was $20 (squeezed three 16 oz beers our of it), seriously....and pitcher was 3/4 filled (rest was foam). Over priced, average food. There are many good places for pizza and beer in Chicago, this isn't one of them.
Great little gem discovered when wanting a quick bite before a show @ the Mercury Theater. The thin crust pizza was DELICIOUS. Personal size was great for one hungry adult. Flaky crust. NIce amount of crisp. Better option for those more carb conscious. If you're looking for a great thin crust pizza near the Cubs stadium, look no further than D'Agostino's. We will be back when in Chi-town!
Chicken was dry and sauce was fairly non-descript. Great atmosphere and price for the amount of food. Huge portions!
Waited for over 15 minutes for a server to even greet us and they weren’t that busy (9pm). Once the food came out, never heard or saw him again until we sat for at least 15-20 minutes with dirty plates in front of us. The food itself was fine but the service was awful. Never again! Way too many good restaurants in Chicago to choose from.
We went in to D'Agostino's before a Cubs game on a Friday night, expecting to wait for a table, even though we had a reservation. To our surprise, they had a table reserved and waiting for us! The food was good, with generous portions, the server was very pleasant and curteous, and the service was speedy! I was thankful for the varied Gluten Free options. Prices for food and beverages were very reasonable.
The thin crust pizza was average and service was slow. It looked like they were not prepared for the number of people that showed up at 6pm. The restaurant was busy inside and out on the patio and our server was all over the place. The pizza was nothing special, will not return.
So thrilled we found this spot! Ate here 3 times in 3 days. Perfect location near Wrigley but outside of the stadium bar area so the crowds were manageable. The pizza was amazing, probably the best pizza I have ever had. It was exactly what I was hoping for, thin crust, round cut in squares, with delicious sausage. I highly recommend this place!! Food was great, staff and service were excellent, great beer selection. Glad it's a few blocks from Wrigley - needed the walk after eating so much!!
If you are ever in Chicago - definitely stop here!!
