We had a great table, it was very comfortable and had enough privacy, but it offered a great view of the restaurant. Our server was very friendly, efficient and helpful. We were there for over 2 hours and didn’t feel rushed.
I was unable to reserve a table with chairs on the website and when we arrived the table we would have preferred had a reserved sign on it and the guests never showed up.
My guest found the couch uncomfortable even with the pillow and the table low.
However, the space was quiet which was nice.
The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was on point. Warning - be prepared to pay Yorkville prices for your meal. It was very expensive but it's a lovely outing for a quite dining place inside. The outdoor patio is nice in the summer but can be quite loud given it's in a noisy area.
I am a girl I went alone to meet a business associate. They treat you without respect if you are a girl by herself . Very pathetic
Good food. Lovely servers!
So many small children!!!!!!
The worst Cobb salad ever...packaged turkey luncheon meat no Avacado or blue cheese to speak of,
Iceberg lettuce, greasy bacon. Just terrible.
Took my mom for a nice lunch, both very disappointed.
Good food. Attentive service
Food was amazing! Had a lovely time...only thought was that the mimosas were a tad bit overpriced.
Overall, our lunch was excellent. My colleague and I both started off with a caesar salad, a glass of Chablis followed by Gnocchi for her (she said was delicious), and the Flat Iron Steak for me which was, sadly, disappointing. The meat was tough and had grizzle - I did not finish my meal. For $39.00, I expected the meat to be tender and sans grizzle. Sad but true. I would not recommend the steak.
We finished the meal with coffee and creme brulee which was delicious.
The tomato soup of the day and grilled cheese sandwich was perfectly executed comfort food on a grey, chilly day.
Always s winner
The prices on their menu were 30% higher than the prices on the Open Table menu. Manager said OT menu was two years old. I felt that was a lousy excuse, someone should have known.
Will most likely not return.
I ordered the charcutterie platter. The meat selections were mediocre in quality and quanity. The dish was grossly overpriced.
Been dbar couple times for drink or dinner, always find their foods are good. We tried cobb salad, lobster roll, and crispy lamb ribs. The cobb salad is ok but I think it's a bit overpriced. For the lobster roll, it's full of lobster meat and the sauce is very good. And I like that they toast the bread a bit. As for the crispy lamb ribs, it's tender inside and crispy outside, a very nice balance.
Unfortunately, the service need some improvement. As the waiter drop fork and knife twice, and not attentive enough in general. Which is pretty surprising as it's from Four Season and under Boulud's name.
Although we live nearby, this was our first time here. Went at an “odd”/non typical time for the venue (sun mid afternoon)), but had a good time. Service was excellent....friendly, witty, efficient and better yet, non pretentious. Food was all good, and drinks were the same. Not exactly a budget minded place, but above average value for an expensive area. Would repeat.
They shouldn’t seat people at those really low chairs and tables
Jessie , our main server was amazing, but she had absolutely no back up. A fun lunch but both food and service were very inconsistent equally wonderful and very disappointing
They were able to accommodate my GF grilled cheese sandwich craving (that wasn’t on the menu) good customer service and liked the special touch of addicting a cookie to my hot tea order.
Loved it, one of the nicest place for lunch in Toronto
Was good but the turkey used is the deli turkey and this high end restaurant should be fresh carved turkey. Or use chicken...
I love the restaurant. It is Kid-friendly. The food was delicious & the servers were very friendly. We all had great time. I recommended it for my friends.
Far too much noise. DJ at top level, I couldn't have a conversation with a friend. And that was the reason I choose the DBar. Last week, on a Thursday, I met a 93 year old friend for lunch du- we could hear ourselves speak!
NY Chef brings consistency and quality to Toronto. A consistent go-to for our family.
A wonderful lunch to celebrate my 93 year old friend's order of Canada. Nothing about parking on your review sheet. It was excellent- coming and going was made so easy.
A frequent spot for our family. Great service and usually consistent food. The one issue this time was that daughter order the Yankee burger and the server specifically asked us how she wanted it which was "medium" and it came charred - so well done.
Our experience was amazing. Our waiter/kitchen made a mistake with my meal and they acknowledged it right away. They were very apologetic which was not necessary. The experience was really great and I would definitely recommend dbar.
The service and room are lovely. However, the last 2 visits were less than memorable. There are too many other good spots in the area to think about returning to dBar.
Wow! Really off their game. I eat at dbar at least once a week. And usually it's terrific. I made reservations long ago for today as it was NY day and I was inviting people who had never been.
We were given a horrible table in the pass thru...when I complained o was told there were so many walk ins...and they got the better comfortable tables as they were earlier and stayed longer than they thought!!! We were sat at 130. Our orders were not taken until 210! The food however was outstanding
There was a DJ playing music..it was techno contemporary music...however the average age was well over 60. Total disconnect to the customer and brand
My friend and I came back on the evening after our outing and sat at the bar. And sat..... it was the most amazing thing to watch people do all they could NOT to make eye contact!!! And no...not busy at the bar. A bartender stood directly in front f me with no acknowledgement whilst she counted the money out of small metal box.
Finally she finished all her tasks and asked us what we wanted.
She brought one drink...:totally forgot the other. Then a bunch of managers were behind the bar as the ticketing system seemed too have an issue
Again...no less than 10 minutes go by.... no eye contact with anyone....all of us at the bar now have bets going on who will lift their head first ...and how long it will take One poor new guy looks up rather confused to inquire if we needed something....the second drink came...
The place was a total wreck..:the bathrooms were out of all supplies.. just horrible for the level of a Four Seasons. And for the prices.....
Average age tonight was 35..:that is when the show should have been playing
The experience was lovely. There were 4 of us and we shared a few appetizers. The food was lovely and we had an assortment of tastes. Loved the atmosphere and e service was great. Would highly recommend.
Great service and food
Top tunes with a guest DJ, great paced service with a warm smile. Our food was just right, some portions look a little skimpy. I had the Christmas Day special, scallops and risotto.
Atmosphere and service what you expect from Yorkville and the four-seasons, we will be back!
The food was ok and it was overly priced.
delicious food and very good and attentive service! nice ambience and quiet setting!
Great , very enjoyable place to have Saturday lunch
Everything was nice but not as good as the former Studio Cafe. Chairs are too big for most women and uncomfortable.
Had the $32 lobster salad. Appreciate lobster is expensive but there were only about 4 pieces of boston bibb lettuce, and it was very boring. Was still hungry afterward and had to ask for bread.
Sat on patio and it was pleasant.
THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT. THAT IS THE KEY FACTOR.MANAGERS ARE ON TOP OF THE EXPERIENCE
Overall a good experience. The portion size was pretty small considering I was pretty hungry.
Had a lunch meeting there. Was a great experience as usual. Will definitely be back.
