Sehr gutes Essen, wunderschönes Ambiente in sehr zentraler Lage gepaart mit sehr gutem und freundlichem Service. Bis auf die etwas höheren Preise, die aber durchaus der Qualität angemessen sind, gibt es nichts, was man sich anders wünschen möchte.

Great experience with excellent service. The attention to food detail, taste and quality were exceptional. Definitely worth it and a great find!

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Munich this time. Needed a change from German food, so this restaurant seemed to fit that thought. Food was fresh and prepared as you specially ordered. Nice selection of wines. Service is personalized and very attentive. This is a small restaurant so reservations would be advisable. You will not be disappointed with this selection as they have a nice variety of fresh fish, meat and pasta. Menu changes daily. I can’t wait to go again.

Essen war ok . Man wolte uns Stopfender Wein unterjubeln! Ein Kelner wolte jede 2 Minuten die Glaeser mit wasser nachfuellen ( 7,80 € eine Flasche) Ein Kelner Der den schlechten Wein unter den trinkbaren mischt ist nicht tragbar! Fazit: 1mal aber nie wieder!!!

We had initially walked in but was sent out because they said the restaurant was completely full even though there were only 2-3 tables dining. We thought that was weird and after 15 mins or so we checked on OpenTable and was able to make a reservation for right away. We went back in again (different friend initiated the conversation) and advised we made reservations on OpenTable. Even though our reservation wasn’t listed in their book, they proceeded to give us a table. This was very off putting because it seemed like they intentionally turned us away in the beginning.

The server that served us seemed friendly. Had a smile on his face and made jokes, but he was not attentive. Service was REALLY slow. We had an appetizer, a main, and dessert and a bottle of red wine and our dinner took 3 hours. There was so much time between dishes that we left close to being hungry. We saw other tables ordering a steak dish that looked delicious so we wanted to order it too but the server said it was sold out. Which made us very skeptical based on our experience with getting a table. Plus tables that came after us were able to order the steak dish.

Food was ok. But not worth the slow service.

Alle Speisen sind sehr klein und wir sind nach 5 Gänge nicht satt geworden. Außerdem haben wir extrem lange gewartet. Ich und mein Mann gehen gern fein essen, aber dieses Lokal entspricht leider nicht der feine Küche in München

Qualität der Speisen sehr hoch, sehr gute Weine, Preis Leistung stimmt, ständig wechselnde Karte mit saisonalem Angebot, Individuelle Wünsche sind kein Problem, TOP!

Fantastic dinner: accommodating staff, well-prepared courses that were appropriately paced. Good wine list and helpful recommendations. Definitely worth a visit while in Munich.

Sehr guter Service, der Chef kam auch zum Tisch, um nachzufragen, ob alles in Ordnung war. Die selbstgemachte Pasta sehr gut. Auch der Oktopus und die kalte Avocadosuppe. Jederzeit gerne wieder, allerdings ist der Besuch nicht ganz billig

We had the server choose our meal for us and it came with several courses. All of which were excellent. The meat was good, however not as up to par as the other items.
It took much longer than expected. We weren’t in a rush, but the dinner took 3 hours. I suppose we could have pushed it along a bit and would have done this next time now that I know.

Der Katzelmacher is a great place for your date, a family get-together or a business meeting. Food is great and service is very personal and friendly. I have eaten there several times already and look forward to coming back.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend mit ausgezeichnetem Service (der Kellner war total sympathisch, freundilch, gut gelaunt und zuvorkommend!) und ebenso ausgezeichnetem Essen! Wir werden auf den Fall wieder kommen.

Probably our best dinner in Munich. We also stayed at this hotel. The food had an imaginative flair without going too over the top as some Michelin restaurants tend to do. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and cozy atmosphere. Wonderful experience with our family party of 6 for dinner. We had a short walk from our hotel which made it even better.
