We have been here a bunch of time but tonight the our waiter was pretty inattentive and not terribly friendly. We had to remind the waiter we needed to order more food for example.
Service was really great, they were attentive but didn't hover or bother us. Food was good, and drinks were really yummy! A loud grp behind us made the beginning of the evening a little annoying but I don't blame y'all. In fact, your service made up for their obnoxious noise and constant bumping my chair.
Worst customer service I’ve ever had at a restaurant in SF. We left midway through dinner.
I'd definitely go back for drinks and a small nibble... probably not for dinner tho.
Interesting menu and well-executed. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful service. For some reason though the air conditioning was set to Ice-Cold and on blast. Hard to enjoy a meal when you’re freezing
We had five dishes all of them excellent. The potstickers were the least interesting, yet very good. Chicken wings and octopus were great. The biggest downside is we rarely saw our waitress. We had to flag her down many times. But if you have the time or not in any kind of a rush I just want to chill, good place.
Went for dinner during vacation. Food was great as was service.
Is a “small plates” restaurant, which should be noted on website.
the menu was intriguing but the execution was uneven. about half of the dishes were delicious (e.g. ceviche, chicken liver) while the others looked wonderful but were undercooked (e.g. cavatelli, bone marrow). cocktails and wines were delightful.
Manager looked after us on our special day. Thumbs up!
From the online reservation to the hostess making additional accommodations, the attention and service was wonderful! The food was delicious and the choices diverse enough to please our party of 5. The drinks hit the spot and the desserts finished off the meal perfectly....salted caramel ice cream and beignets! All of this and we had prime outdoor seating thanks to our hostess! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Great dinner with friends, ambiance was great, couple of high top tables and some low tables, couch type, had to change to a High top.
Great hidden spot within Viceroy Hotel. Outdoor patio, tapas style food, for a fun group dinner!
Fun dark bar with small plates. Rooftop bar is a little misleading and drinks are tiny.
We enjoyed the ambiance of the outside seating area. We were there on a Saturday evening around 9pm and were disappointed to find toddlers running around screaming in the outside seating area. We were hoping for a better overall vibe, but the screaming competed too much with the music. The wine list could be improved - the by the glass wines are from the B-list, while the bottles are extremely expensive wines. Hostess were dismissive, but wait staff was great. I can't recommend it to friends until the wine list improves and the outdoor seating area is reserved for 21+ only.
Unfortunately I left it play but the service was absolutely a palling
Nice atmosphere. Signature drinks not very good though - compared to other craft cocktail places I've visited. Food pretty good and priced really well.
Made a reservation for 8 people. When I arrived I was told that because there was a last minute reservation for 12 people, we would have to take the table for 6 and “make it wok” by cramming 2 more chairs in. Ultimately we were told we could move to a bigger table near the front but only after those sitting there got up and left- they didn’t. After that, the service was extremely slow and I had to walk up to the hostess stand to get the bill.
Such a great ambience and vibe, and the cocktails were fabulous and the food super good!
We wanted to go somewhere nice since it was our last night in San Francisco. We wanted to sit in the patio but no tables were available. So, I asked the waiter and she got us a table in the patio. The place was super cozy and comfy. The the restaurant setting was beautiful and on top of that the fire place and the lighting made the atmosphere very delightful. The price of the food was very reasonable. We specially loved the chicken wings such was super crispy. It also tells us about the high quality of the food they serve. However, there was one minor inconvenience though. We had to ask for and wait quite a while before the servers even noticed us and checked on us. May be it was just one of those busy nights. This is something I think they should improve on. But, when we were being served, the waiters and servers were super nice and made us feel welcomed. Overall, it was a great place with good vibe and atmosphere.
Our server was horrible. We had to ask about our food and drinks several times.
Decent food but quite possibly the worst customer service that I have experienced at a restaurant in San Francisco.
Our bill came out to $115 and I handed our server my credit card but she returned it with a charge for $185 for me to sign. When I asked her why she added $70 to the bill, she told me that I wasn’t charged for it and that she accidentally gave me the additional bill for the table behind me.
However, the receipt clearly had the last 4 of my credit card on BOTH charges and both charges posted to my credit card but our server, Nataly, proceeded to argue with me even after I showed her the charges posted on my bank’s app.
She told me that the additional charge has been reversed and that I would only be charged the $115 from the original bill but she refused to provide me with a receipt of the charge reversal or my customer copy of the receipt. This $115 dinner came out to a total of $300 and not once did Nataly apologize or offer us anything to make up for her negligence.
I’m not sure if this is standard practice for them to over charge and hope that their customers won’t notice but I doubt that we’ll be back. I’ll give them until Monday to call me with an explanation or I’ll be disputing this with my credit card company.
Service was a little slow.
The dishes are pretty small and it makes the meal pretty expensive.
This is a nice spot, located near some sites and we had gone to SFMOMA so it's nearby and being the 5th floor of a hotel, it feels secluded and away from the horrors that are the streets of SOMA. The food was mostly good but not a lot of options and nothing seems to go together very well. We had the spiced nuts (fine), pork dumplings (tasty but not very hot), corn salad (weird flavors, vaguely perfume-like), ribeye (delicious), and for dessert we had the upside down angel cake and vanilla ice cream (the cake was ok but covered in a very sweet syrup I could have done without). There was just two of us and I like that I could try a lot of things and not be stuffed because the portions are pretty small but others might be left hungry. The service felt a little slow but once the area we were in filled up they did a fair job of filling water and removing plates. We were inside but they have an outside patio that is nice too. Other pluses: good drink menu and good wine list
I booked at Dirty Habit for a party of 11, for a special event. We were seated in the outside patio, which is very nice, with the music not too loud, perfect to be able to chat with the people at the table. The service and food were very good as well. I highly recommend!
Food portions and flavor not worth the price and the staff was not very attentive or friendly
Sophisticated atmosphere, great cocktails. The chicken wings were amazing as was the octopus.
Food was great... service was laughable
This is an undiscovered gem of a place to have a drink after work. In the grime and grit of Market Street, this is like an oasis of cool lifted a few floors off the street as if to separate you from the reality out on the street.
Food is good but pricey. Had expectations for a view but the outdoor rooftop is surrounded on all sides by an additional 4 stories so you are in a shady well. Service was ok. Very pleasant but seemed to be inside with bar costumers mostly? That said he was very pleasant but all food was delivered by the busboy.
Bring back the shishito peppers!
Great meal great food great dining little slow on the service side great cocktails great mix all a G
Delicious food and drink. The wait staff was a bit slow, but friendly. I would definitely go back. The halibut was probably one of the best ceviches I've ever had. And yeeeeees to the drinks!!
Super nice patio, very attentive and helpful service. Great ambiance outside for a date
The Gem salad was bland and not what we expected. A waiter brought the cheese plate and didn't explain the options (we had to call our real waiter back to explain. Other than that, it was good.
Over priced and the food is two thumbs down. Cool spot for drinks only!
Cocktails were great but everything else was pretty disappointing. Food was pretty subpar, bland and the portions were extremely small, especially the appetizers.
Food arrived 45 minutes after ordering and also all at once, appetizers and entrees together. Naturally things got cold before they could be eaten because all at once.
Also, despite reserving outdoor seating they refused to seat us outside on account of too many reservations. Sure enough we could see there were open seats outside our entire time there.
All around a pretty poor experience. A special occasion that wasn’t.
Outdoor seating was beautiful. Duck lollipop was dry and under seasoned
