Roasted Bacon Wrapped Scallops
Fresh Roasted Scallops Wrapped with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Served Over a Bed of Parmesan Asparagus Risotto and Topped with Gremolata
The food was greasy and flavorless. The service was terrible.
From the time we were seated, it took almost 25 min before our order was taken granted it was Father’s Day.
We ordered Fried Calamari, Linguine & Clams and Cioppino.
We were served warm bread and garlic butter.
Fried calamari was very good; lightly battered and NOT salty as we have had at other restaurants. You could tell the freshness.
Linguine and Clams presentation was nice; generously supplied with clams in shells.
Cioppino was piping hot and plentiful of various seafood: squid, scallops, mussels, prawns, crab leg and some fish. The tomato base broth was yummy too (garlic and fresh crushed tomatoes) all served with 2 large garlic bread; I couldn’t eat both.
We were going to order a salad as well but glad we didn’t as we left completely stuffed; didn’t have room for dessert.
We asked for extra bread with the garlic butter in the beginning but I suspect because they were so busy due to Father’s Day, they forgot. Just as well, we would have been stuffed with bread instead of our meal.
We will come back again when they’re not so busy to see how service is then. Food is definitely a keeper.
Great place for seafood and for a view. Staff is very attentive and nice.
The food was amazing! The bread and butter, sooo good! We had the mixed seafood plate and tomato ginger soup and I highly recommend them. For dessert we tried the Tiramisu. Just WOW! Ambiance is casual. Staff is friendly. Window seat. Saw some seals and pelicans that stopped by to look in.
The only negative was their lack of attention to the restrooms. Both men and woman’s were a mess. Out of paper towels. One restroom per.
Still, an awesome first time! Will definitely go there again if we are back in the area.
Our waitress was very good and the helpers that were not servers were excellent and kept coming by to see what we needed. One of them took a picture for us, as it was our 56th wedding anniversary.
Great food and service —-Highly recommend! The clam chowder was some of the best we’ve ever had, made with pancetta and thick and chunky . We also ate Dungeness crab and lobster tail, the food was delicious and pricing wasn’t exorbitant.
The food was exceptional. Really loved the seafood.
Tourist trap. Sauce on table when we arrived cleaned with wet washcloth. Appetizer arrived last. Food fine but not memorable - disappointing all around based on reviews
Appetizers were ok but entrees were subpar
Food and service was Excellent. Really enjoyed our meal. Only problem we had was the noise level. An extremely loud crowd at the table near us! Having fun and a bit too much to drink. Plus their table was in a corner so the sound just bounced off the windows and walls. It made it hard to carry on a reasonable conversation. I am a local and suggested the restaurant. My friends, all visitors, enjoyed their dinner, just not the noise🥴
Excellent service from beginning to end. Highly recommend.
Had a reservation but still waiting over 20 minutes. The server was excellent. The food was mediocre. I had requested outdoor seating. We were given a corner interior table - not one along the open windows. This and the food were disappointing.
The food has been consistently good there, but the service is a bit slow.
Soggy sand dabs ! Told the bus boy but waiter disappeared till time for bill and didn’t bother to ask how our service was. Long wait for drinks clam chowder was good
Lobster was not as good as expected-a little tough. Wait staff and service very good.
The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We ordered the New York steak and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo.
The steak was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection and the fettuccine was just as amazing.
Arturo was our waiter. He went above and beyond and so did the other additional servers that were working with him.
An amazing true classic restaurant.
View and Service were excellent. Food was okay for the price.
One of the worst experiences with service I have ever had. For more than one item had to order more than once, when order was forgotten/ignored. Overall VERY slow -- dinner took more than twice as long as normal.
Food was OK.
We had a reservation for a window seat and were seated right away. My friend and I were approached quickly by a waitress asking if we wanted drinks. She came back again to deliver them. We had a couple of questions about the menu and she left to give us time to think over our choices. She didn't come back again until we flagged another waiter a while later to tell him we were ready to place our order. He indicated he would let our waitress know. Even then, she still didn't come back for a bit but helped others that were seated after us. Another waiter helped her deliver our food and at one point she got us mixed up with another order. Later we ordered dessert from another waiter because she wasn't coming to check on us. She had closed out our bill before asking us if there was anything else we wanted. She came over to us and said 'You guys didn't order a cappuccino, creme brulee, and cheesecake did you?" We said we did from another waiter. Eventually, they mixed up our cheesecake (delivering a tiramisu instead) so we had to send it back. Dinner was good - not over the top. Service started off strong, but then waned over time.
Not a socially distant restaurant.
Great food and excellent service. Definitely will be back.
The oysters were perfecta d nicely shucked. Linguine with clams was excellent, and the Petrale Sole was delicious as expected.
Great seafood options, food was fresh and delicious, service was great, friendly staff
The cioppino was just ok. Fried calamari seemed to have been come out of a frozen package. I would skip and go to Phil's.
Fish was over cooked and luke warm. Steamed Vegetables were cold . Service was excellent. Our waitress was wonderful and very personable. The host was very friendly to us but seemed annoyed with customers who arrived without a reservation.
The waiters were very welcoming and entertaining. We enjoyed the dishes that we ordered. My sons loved the fettuccine Alfredo and thought it was one of the best they’ve ever had. The ambiance was cozy and pleasant. We had a wonderful time!
Fabulous Birthday Celebration! From the food to the service, everything was EXCELLENT. The clam chowder was the best we've ever had! (& great sourdough bread!) My Husband had the Abalone & said it was unbelievable, And I had the steamed crab & It was perfectly prepared & equally delicious. The wine was fabulous and the creme brulé was a wonderful ending to the best dinner we've had all year. Our glasses were never empty & neither was our delicious sourdough bread basket. Very Attentive & delightful service. BRAVO to Domenicos for an excellent comeback after a very rough year. Thankyou!! Highly recommended!
Great location on the wharf with awesome views. Overall the food was average. The fish and chips were good, but there was little seasoning. I would recommend the sole meunière, as it was the best dish our table ordered.
Domenico's was good and the service was excellent. They have seating that overlooks the water in the main dining room. If you're staying near the wharf this is a good place to have a bite.
We LOVED dining here. The service wAs amazing, and food and ambience were as well. The view was stunning and we had a great time.
Such a good experience all around we will definitely be back.
Excellent experience with restaurant staff, restaurant manager very friendly and appears very attached to customer relation. We are from the Bay Area and enjoy our weekend getaway to visit the Monterey Fishermen Wharf, a friendly and less congested place to enjoy a short getaway.
Great view, staff and good
Waiter paid us no attention
Love the restaurant, personnel and food. Made reservations and still had to wait about 30 minutes before seated. Overall experience great.
The food was really good. Make room for the cheesecake. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Excellent views of the bay. Not a whole lot of ambience and it was loud and stuffy. It's on the wharf, which is a very touristy area.
After shelter in place, this was the first restaurant my husband and I came to for our belated anniversary. I made a reservation and even called over the phone in advance to ensure our time and spot and came 30 minutes early to make sure we let the host know that we had a reservation and wanted to sit by the water. The host asked us to sit by the bar to wait. He had forgotten about us and 5 minutes before the reservation I checked in. He finally wrote our name down. Then sat us 15 minutes later at a table that was not by the water. The owner came by to ask us if he could buy us appetizer instead of moving our reservation table. After I said we had already gotten our appetizer, I explained I couldn’t understand why after all the steps I had taken, my requests were ignored. He came back again to move us 30 minutes later to a table by the water and offered to buy us appetizer once again, as if he had forgotten what I had said earlier. The older server we had at least checked in and asked if we were happy. The new server checked on us only two times once we ordered. After the offer of buying us appetizer, I was surprised that the owner did not take the appetizer off our bill. Never go here for a special date because they do not pay attention to the requests you make in advance if you do so on open table or even calling in advance or coming to the restaurant even 30 minutes earlier to sit at the bar and buy extra drinks and an appetizer to pass the time. Every request was ignored or un acknowledged. I would not come here because it would seem as though they just wanted to turn tables over instead of making guests feel welcome or special. The silver lining was the food, but certainly, I find it just as important to service when I go out dining.
For a touristy spot on the Wharf, this place was terrific! The service was especially outstanding. Their only outdoor tables are in the front of the restaurant, vs water-view, but had good heat lamps and a fun ambiance.
My dinner quest has a specific request for her entre. When it arrived, it was not as expected. The waiter then told her that he could take it back but that the chef would not do as she requested.
We had a window table to watch the harbor seals. This pasta Capri and the Caesar salad were very good.
