Very enjoyable. Will definitely go back.
Great food and great environment! Will definitely be going back.
Great valentines dinner
Don Antonio serves the freshest and tastiest Italian food in Marin. The atmosphere is cozy, service is great and preparations are wonderful. This place is a treasure
The owner was rude and the waitress was in a major rush at all times. We felt very unwelcome there. Was my husband's birthday and I noted it on the reservation. They didn't even acknowledge it. Will not be returning...food was just ok.
Real Non Americanized Italian food!! Family friendly and very consistant in terms of quality. I am an Italian food addict for long and this restaurant is the best I know in town
Great food. Great service. Friendly ambiance.
This is a charming restaurant with consistently amazing food. The service has always been wonderful and we looking forward to enjoying another meal there soon.
There was a photo shoot going on at a table during the entire time we were at the restaurant.
The flashing lights and commotion created by the photo shoot was inappropriate in a restaurant for other diners.
My girlfriend pointed out she had a wheat allergy and a dairy allergy. The dairy is severe one (if it's anything but butter, her throat will close and she will die.) She asked if the chicken dish had any dairy. It only had butter, that was fine. She then asked if the chicken was breaded with flour. The waiter said no.
The dish arrives, there is mashed potatoes on the plate. It's was not listed on the menu, if it was, she would have asked. She tried to cut off a piece of the chicken that was exposed to the dairy soaked potatoes, she couldn't get any of it off. The waiter took it back and said he would redo the dish.
The dish came back, they used the same chicken. It's then she found out it was breaded with flour. The owner came by, offered a non-apology, blaming the staff for not understanding what "breaded" or "flour" means, blaming his language barrier (I am not going to speak to a staff member in another language, they may be prohibited by their management to do so. I don't want to endanger their job) and was talking down to her in a misogynistic manner. He offered to take the dish and her glass of wine off the bill. The dish was taken off the bill, but the wine was not. By that point we just paid and left.
The owner treated my girlfriend very disrespectfully, and I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the waitstaff to know what " breaded" means. He must be used to the locals to being fine with the way things are. With ample Italian food choices available in the bay area, we will never return. I do not recommend anyone go here.
We have been there many times. The food is usually very good especially the freshly baked bread. The place is small and usually crowded, so the noise level is very high. The wait staff is always rushing for whatever reason. I guess that is the way they act. After being there many times, the owner finally recognized us and started to greet us !😂😂😂 Will definitely go back because of the food !😊
Delicious food, welcoming service. Will definitely be back!
Great food! Their lobster ravioli was incredible. Good wine options from Italy and California. Beef carpaccio was delicious.
Our Waitress was EXCELLENT and the service was Fantastic. We celebrated a girlfriends 60th Birthday and the restaurant was very flexible, letting us decorate our table and celebrate :-) Food was delicious, you won't be disappointed. A must see!!
Don Antonio Trattoria is a local favorite, and a place we can always count on for an excellent meal. We also leave feeling like we had just enough and never feel stuffed. Antonio is wonderful and usually makes it a point to stop by every table to chat.
Charming little restaurant-cozy and friendly. The neighborhood eats here. Great service. Feels very warm and inviting, with just enough bustle to keep it lively without being overly loud or crowded.
The wine menu is good, and the house Chianti is very good.
The starter of bruschetta was OK- ordinary and not special. The Caesar salad was excellent- creamy dressing with a hint of anchovies and garlic, croutons and lots of cheese. The only slight surprise was that the lettuce was chopped rather than in large or whole leaves.
The salmon was fresh and grilled just right -coming with crisp mixed vegetables and tasty mashed potatoes.
The chicken piccata was also excellent, hot and with butter, lemon and capers and the same sides that came with the salmon.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service.
Always Avery good choice. The food is excellent and waiters super friendly.
Cozy and delicious
Great option in Tiburon - no view, no tourists, reasonably priced, generous portions, great quality food, excellent service. Tasty from start ( heirloom tomato caprese) to finish ( a mascarpone cheesecake with berries). All participants loved their entrees.
I was looking for a new place to take my wife for our anniversary, and was impressed by the reviews. I was very impressed by everything at Don Antonio. The service was the fastest I've ever seen: there was a party of 14 next to us, and the speed with which the kitchen got their food made was amazing. The same for us. I had Halibut and my wife had lobster raviolo, and they were divine. Ditto the heirloom/burrata appetizer - they actually give you a choice of burrata or mozzarella. It's a lovely old Victorian converted to a restaurant along the row of old shops in Tiburon, with tons of parking behind it. Very impressive on every level: we wil be back.
This was my fourth visit to Don Antonio’s and has become my favorite away from home place to eat. I highly recommend it for great food great service and reasonable prices.
We have enjoyed this location in the past. However this time it was flat. My husband had lasagna. He said it tasted like it had been frozen and the sauce had zero flavor.
My veal Marsala lacked flavor.i put vinegar in it to see if I could liven it up.
We will go back to Larkspur Don Antonio next time.
Really delicious as always. Got a little warm in the middle of dinner, but the food and wine was so good it’s hard to find any fault.
The best Italian in Marin. Period.
What a fun place!
We typically eat at the Don Antonio’s in Larkspur and love it. Tiburon is just as good but has a livelier vibe.
The pesto gnocchi was amazing. We shared to as an appetizer and I wanted to eat the entire dish.
I had the halibut for dinner and it was cooked to perfection.
Waiter was excellent. The food was so amazing and delicious. But... the most glaring aspect: The owner, of all people, hovered over the tables all night. For example, if he was wearing an apron and pitching in, I'd get it. But he just sat on a stool and barked at his staff. But I'll return again.
Wonderful home town cooking and european flair!! Love this restaurant!
We try to eat at Don Antonio’s whenever we are in the area. The food and service s always good.
It was very pleasant. Nice ambience, friendly staff. Food was good, if not out of this world. My veal saltimboca was pretty salty. But a very enjoyable place.
The food is always exceptional, with great, friendly service, in a wonderful small town location.
Everything fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. House chianti very good and a steal at the price.
The server was abrupt, not friendly, impatient with us. The busboy cleared the table noisily. The waitress took my wine glass before I was completely done.. Just a sip left but she didn't even ask if I was done
The manager.. or was he the owner? was abrupt as well when we asked about parking validation
It was noisy to boot
No, we wouldnt go back
Everything about the restaurant made it feel welcoming. The service was wonderful, food was excellent, ambiance made you want to stay forever:) we will return!
Dinner was delicious and service was excellent.
Love the food and service!! Nice quaint atmosphere and home cooked meals!!
We LOVE Don Antonio’s - we always appreciate the kindness and authentic Italian cuisine
This is one of our favorites restaurants in Marin. It’s very authentic. The servers always friendly and attentive. The food is great. This could be your every day restaurant or for a special ocassio.
We were first seated at a 2 person table with only one chair. Owner moved us to a new table that was adequately set up. Crab ravioli was very good, while the Gamberi with fettuccini was not up to par. Shrimp (prawns) were over cooked and tough. Appetizer, salads, and meals were brought out rather quickly before we were finished eating the previous course. Open table says Thursday nights are 50% off wine - we asked about this the case (Thursday night) and were told no by the waiter. We dined here 2 years ago on a vacation trip to SF and enjoyed it. Not so much 2 years later. They also marked us as a no show on open table.
Great meal, great service@
Ordered calamari steak with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. Calamari steak was tender with a flavorful sauce. Although there was a large party of 20 in a small dining room, the noise level was okay...
Don Antonio’s is AMAZING! The food, people, service is just amazing! No other place can beat a great Don Antonio’s!
