Food was delicious, service was great.
Our table was not ready on time but we got compensated with free scones. Unfortunately, the music was loud, it was hard to have a conversation at the table.
Awesome experience overall...
Some confusion at the hostess desk as numpties sat themselves at our table🤦🏻♂️
Had to wait 5 minutes or so yo be seated...
Our server Desirée was delightful as was the birthday girl and her party seated next to us...
Food was great, ambiance perfect, noise level unavoidable....
It was nice of Liam Hemsworth to drop by and take a few moments with fans...
You just never know who'll drop by The Drake...
Only negative...photo booth was out of order...🤔
We went for the pre-fixe thanksgiving dinner. While the food was great, as usual, they were not nearly enough servers working, even though drake would have been aware of pre-fixe reservations, and obviously should have expected a full house. It was over 35 mins before we received our drinks - and the food had arrived at this point? No one came back to our table for over 30 mins - and this was only because we flagged them down. At this point, we asked for the rest of dinner to be packed up, and also for our dessert to-go. We definitely didn’t want to wait for our dessert to be served, and figured there was certainly no point in trying to get another drink.
I don’t expect much, but I expect more than that.
The drake hotel has a style of its own
Chic dinner setting with tasty apps
The sushi was excellent and drinks were great.
Main meals could be revamped they lacked the wow factor and were a little drab
Overall nice place
Great brunch experience. Happy to find a place where can make a reservation for brunch. Service was excellent, food was enjoyed by all, fun environment. Is a bit pricey for brunch.
dj mensa rocked the house - we had a great time -
dining was good - server was great - but not many vegan options.
First off I made a reservation for 9:30 got there on time and still had to wait 10 minutes. The menu doesn’t give you a good understanding of what your eating I was not impressed ex specially because I booked the reservation for my boyfriends birthday and we had to get up and leave and go somewhere else.
The appetizers didn’t come out together so we didn’t have our dips with our cheese plate and bread. The steak used for steak and eggs was not fresh. The burger was undercooked.
The Manager, Aileen, went above & beyond to ensure we had a memorable birthday celebration. THANK YOU!
Granted it was a Sunday night so it wasn’t very busy. Service was excellent and food was very fast. We both ordered the Drake Burger which was delicious, however the fries were very small and too crispy, you couldn’t pick them up with a fork. Happy Hour is great value with house wine being $5/glass. Probably would not have ate there had we not been attending the concert being held there later in the night. Would recommend for drinks pre show but probably not for dinner.
Servers were initially not very friendly and appeared annoyed when we requested a different table despite the entire floor being empty. Otherwise okay food and good ambiance.
Great food, fab vibe, attentive service and friendly staff.
The pasta tasted like rubber.
Worst service I
The trivia games were excellent!! We will definitely return to play in the near future.
Great food amazing atmosphere. Wonderful place and also really great drinks
Dined with my daughter for early dinner. We sat on the patio as the lounge was closed for a private event. Only the snack menu was available but we were very pleased with the burger and sushi. Best burger I've had in a while. Cooked to perfection and deliciously dressed. The tuna sushi was superb. We shared a strawberry shortcake for dessert and it also was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter was great and quickly acted when we requested that the 2 gentlemen who were smoking cigarettes at the end of the patio be asked to go a little further away as their smoke was bothering us. We'll definetely return to the Drake.
Great appetizers! Main course was okay but we had a good time. Would go back
Our visit for brunch at the Drake Hotel was fantastic. I’d decided for my husband an I to visit here during our date day in the city. I had the Drake Benny and my husband had the Drake Breakfast. Both dishes served up plenty of food, although we must have still been hungry as we opted to share a cinnamon roll afterwards. I would highly recommend all dishes. It was fairly busy however surprisingly the noise level wasn’t too great perhaps because we were sitting on the rooftop patio. I would imagine other interior parts of the restaurant could be much more loud. Overall I would recommend this restaurant for a Sunday brunch.
Always a solid bet for brunch on the weekends in Toronto. Lots of seating means you don't wait long if you don't have a reservation, and the wait for food itself is never horrible, and the food is always tasty!
We were seated in the cafe this time and it was adorable - would recommend!
Food was good - Deviled Eggs are a hit Service was excellent. Would go back.
Dinner was slow to arrive but management spontaneously acknowledged the issue and provided free desert. Overall the ambiance was pleasant, service was good and the food was moderately good for the price.
Burger was delicious. Only thing I’d recommend. Fun vibe but the food and drinks are very average.
was great, But You def should consider setting a second bar tender.. I was told she is the best but every drink took a long time.. A glass of wind should not take 15 min. But I love the place and over all a great time!
Great customer service!! Food was yummy! And the brunch vibe was nice! I went while awaiting a flight and the employees and manager went above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I with our bags. I definitely will return!
The perfect place for brunch! It was my first time in Canada for my birthday and I’m so glad it wasn’t raining so we could have brunch in the sky yard ! Service was amazing, food was amazing. Will definitely be a place I will always have to go if I’m ever in Canada !
Food was terrible. Service was slow. Way too expensive and overrated. I will not return.
We had breakfast, eggs Benedict and it was cold not even warm. Very disappointed as I brought 3 guests. Definitely not the standard I am accustomed to at the Drake properties.
Amazing foodie experience with a varied menu that is great for sharing. The lounge has wonderful ambiance and the outside patio is equally hip. Service was outstanding and the value was also reasonable with portions being generous. Will definitely return for more dining experiences at The Drake!
Used to be so much better. Don’t like eating in the cafe. When we booked for brunch expected the restaurant. Food was cold but plates were boiling hot. Very odd.
Server was not friendly and did not make us feel comfortable. Food and ambience was perfect
The restaurant was booked for a private event so we had to sit outside which we did not want because of the noise level . Would have been nice to know before booking for a quiet dinner for someone’s birthday.
Not a good experience , will not be back.
I probably don’t need to go back. There are nicer places in Toronto who deserve my hard earned money.
Also the washrooms were very dirty, and one washroom not working, so only one ladies room available for such a large restaurant. Food and service not up to par at all!
Shawn, our waiter, was awesome! He really helped make our experience at The Drake Hotel memorable. He gave us complimentary glasses of bubbly since we were celebrating my best friends birthday. The drinks were amazing the food was very yummy. The vibe was awesome!
We had the brunch menu and the pancakes and savory tart were amazing. Very fresh!
Food was great, service was terrible. If the service was better I might return.
Food was mediocre, nice environment, server was nice.
Great atmosphere, great service! Loved the rooftop patio.
Great spot for lunch in Toronto! We took a spot on the patio, but we kind of regretted not going inside with the construction that was going on outside on King St. The food was good - we both at the mushroom pasta. It was not the best pasta I've ever had, but it was good and the price was reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly and we had a good time chatting with her. I guess that's not really the restaurant's fault, but there was a creepy old man who was also eating on the patio who STARED the entire time at me and my friend and he was literally undressing us from his eyes - not The Drake's fault, but it was creepy and kind of ruined our lunch. Overall love The Drake, but I think it's better for a weekend brunch than for a weekday lunch!
