sauted spinach, lobster risotto, roasted tomatoes, newburg sauce
Started out with strawberry Bellini martinis which are always a hit!! We had bruschetta and gnocchis for starters and settled into a steak frites and baked haddock. Finished off with a few more martinis and an excellent bread pudding dessert. Great service! Great atmosphere!
Food was absolutely delicious. Three of us had great meals. My drink was sooo good. Service wonderful as always. Can't wait to go back.
Susan was awesome
My husband and I had brunch at Exchange Bistro. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive. They had a few gluten-free options but I'm used to having more selection on a brunch menu. A few menu items could have been gluten-free with no significant change in recipe.
Always have a great meal here and the Martinis are to die for!!
Everything was fantastic
First time there and we absolutely loved it. Food was great, and an amazing list of martinis! Service was great
We were there at late afternoon and the service was not great. Tapas array very tasty and drinks good. Comfortable atmosphere.
The food, drinks, and staff at Exchange Street Bistro were all excellent.
It was a great dining experience!! Highly recommend this restaurant. We had the Brie appetizer and it was plenty for two people it was an enjoyable collection of flavors; Brie, cranberry, honey. Our entrees were the haddock and beef. The servings are good size and were cooked wonderfully. We enjoyed our martinis and they have a wonderful variety of them. The brownie dessert was accented with toasted marshmallows. Excellent!!!
Not a very interesting restaurant - food was a bit bland. Good assortment of choices on menu - but if I go back to Malden, I'd go to one of the Asian restaurants and hope for a bit more interesting meal and at a lower cost.
The broccoli rabe rolls are a favorite appetizer and the rib eye steaks were cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Its always nice to have a manager stop by the table to check if we were satisfied. ESB is one of my favorite restaurants around. We always get a fantastic meal there.
Not for brunch. Food was cold and had a hair in it.
It was very loud and I could not hear what the other person was saying.
I have been there before for dinner and drinks and everything was good.
Great martini’s. Menu is varied and something for everyone. Excellent food preparation, taste and value. Nice atmosphere for families, singles or a date. Loved it!
I love the atmosphere here. The food is excellent and the service is just as great!
Meals were beautifully presented and delicious, at a fair price. Service was excellent. The noise level was quite loud: I would request seating in the back room the next time.
Server never checked to see if our food was good and the duck was overcooked. We have dined there for several years but recently have noticed the food is inconsistent.
We loved it! All 6 of us had a great New Year's Eve meal and experience. The place was packed, yet service and food were both great. Looking forward to going again.
Great food, nice atmosphere Try it you will like it
We had a relatively early NYE reservation and the restaurant was not super busy. We’ve eaten here before and the experience is always positive. There’s something for everyone on the menu and Our dishes, the halibut & chicken were nicely executed & plated. Extensive bar menu with lots of martinis.
Love about everything at ESB. Great cocktails, exquisite duck two ways, perfect bistro salad
The food was great. Wait time for food was a pretty long. However, the female bartender was the one that ruined our experience. She was incredibly loud and obnoxious. She was talking to customers about a date she had been on earlier in the day- with some inappropriate details. She then started yelling about spiders in her apartment and talking about how after you kill the spider, other spiders come for the dead body. It did not allot me to enjoy my haddock at all. She was incredibly obnoxious and if I see her behind the bar again, I will not be eating at this resteraunt. Very disappointed.
We love ESB! The service is great and the food is always very good. I just wish that they would put the hours for each menu on their website so you know which menu to expect when you get there. We went on a Sunday and were hoping to have the lunch or dinner menu but the only option we were given was the brunch menu. We were told that if we wanted dinner we would have to wait another hour but unfortunately we did not have time to wait. Had we known the hours for the menus we would have pushed our reservation to a different time. I recommend you call to see which menu is served for the time of your reservation. Other than that, I highly recommend ESB!
I like the bar atmosphere but at the table by the window it was quite cold. Our server was very nice but was not prompt with service. The food was average. I would come back here for a drink although the bartenders were not friendly at all. Hummm maybe we won’t be back...
Went with a friend to catch up, not rushed at all. Had the haddock with lobster risotto highly recommend, my friend pork chop she was very happy with her choice . Large choice of Martinnis , bar area very lively. Service lovely will hope to return soon.
Our first visit to ESB, great server, pleasant atmosphere and tasty meal.
Excellent food and excellent service! Oh, and the drinks are delicious!
The food was excellent and the service helpful. It was a busy Friday night, but still not so noisy that we couldn’t have a conversation. Very nice experience, we will be back.
I had the beet salad with steak and it was phenomenal. The martinis were superb and the wait staff catered to us. Simply the best. Always a great time there.
All of our food and drinks were delicious and quick to come out. We ordered the baked brie appetizer, bolognese, steak frites and espresso creme brûlée'. We will definitely be back!
This was our first time here. The food was wonderful an the service was great. Very attentive staff. The noise level was low considering the room was full. It was nice to hear each other without yelling across the table.
One of my favorite things here are the broccoli rappi spring rolls. This visit, however, they were greasy and definitely not as good. We also ordered the fish tacos and they were delicious. We decided to split a pizza and we chose the cauliflower crust roasted veggies pizza. It was delicious as well. I had requested a quiet table as this is a lively dining spot and they accommodated us so that was great. Our server was great too. Hopefully it was just an off night for the spring rolls because they are usually to die for! We will be back!
This is pne of my fav restaurant, location is great, food is excellent
Overall I enjoy this place! Great Martini and drink selections, great atmosphere and great staff! Ordered the Bolognese and it came out almost a soup there was so much water in it. They were happy to remake it for me and it came out quickly! Ended up being just an OK meal. My friends did love their Haddock though!
Who would think of a road drip to Malden for a great steak? Not me, but a glance at the interesting menu made me want to try. You should too, you won’t be disappointed. I had a 14 oz rib eye, almost no fat, cooked to perfection adorned with mushrooms and onion rings, sharing the plate with a twice baked potato! Yum. She had sea scallops with pumpkin purée and Brussels sprouts. Again, Yum. That meal was a little small, but my steak was big enough to cut off a chunk and share. We shared the bistro salad which was fresh and tasty. (Poached pear on it was amazing!).
The only disappointment is that I left my leftover steak on the table. Darn, no steak and eggs for breakfast tomorrow.
Trust me, we will be back!!!!
Really great quality, not crazy expensive food! Would highly recommend.
Waiters are too busy
