While we enjoyed the ambiance and the food it took was over 2 hours to get our food. Definitely don’t go here if your are in a rush, we saw 2 other tables leave because it was taking too long.

Restaurant was very quiet in May 2021 (still Covid precautions) and there were only 4 tables occupied when we had dinner. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We split the "tot" appetizer and the wedge salad, both of which were very good. We both had the pork chop and the flavor of the apple, bacon and celery topping sauce was delicious. Unfortunately the pork chop was overcooked so a little dry and tough. We split the cinnamon sugar churros dessert and with the dulce de leche and dark chocolate sauces, it was a really tasty treat. I would recommend the restaurant but caution about the pork chop (or ask the server to make sure it isn't overcooked).

The service here was terribly slow. Our 2 egg breakfast took 40 min to get to our table and the waiter rarely checked on us in between. I’m shocked that this restaurant has such a high rating. I won’t be going back.

A bit off the main drag, but the food made up for that. We were a bit disappointed the roof top deck wasn't open, but during the pandemic, it is what it is. Good service, good food. Not too crowded. Thanks.

Restaurant was crowded and difficult for the staff to handle. Waiter did a great job in keeping us informed and was very knowledgeable about the food, beer and wines around the region. Overall a very pleasant experience. Good was prepared well and tasty. We all enjoyed our dinner

Had a great experience — our first indoor dining in more than a year! Patrons were well spaced, the room is big and airy. The tater tot appetizer was THE BOMB, as was our trout entree and s’mores pannacotta. YUM. And the cocktails were great, too. Definitely going back.

Great food service was top tier our drinks were strong and the whole staff was attempting to makes us drinks we loved without charging us When I felt so bad for even saying i didn’t like the drink! But props to them for being an amazing team! Pork chops are the must haves there

We went there for brunch. The food was tasty and was delivered in an efficient manner. However, we were not checked on by our waiter during the time we were there. I had to get up and find the waiter to ask and retrieve our check. He made us feel as though it was such an inconvenience to divide the checks (it was a bachelorette party - a party of 6) but never vocalized that he could NOT do it. He made a snide remark that what we want to do is "difficult." If he had come to see us we would have communicated that we needed separate checks or would have open to paying for the check in whole. Instead, he pushed us aside because I watched him serve and cater to other tables while our NOW separated checks have been sitting on the counter. Ultimately, what was lacking was staff presence, professionalism and communication. If our waiter or ANY staff had come check on us we would have been able to verbalize what we needed regarding the check and whether or not it was even feasible for them. What started as a great meal left a bad taste in our mouth due to staff.

As as "out-of-towner" I realize that my expectations need to be kept in line with both local standards and especially with current Covid protocols. This review is my honest opinion and taking the above in consideration.

I made a reservation online line using Open Table for a table for 2 at 5 PM. I was meeting with a programmer from SBIFF (SB Film Festival). We were catching up for the first time since last year and had a small window to meet in between screenings. As a publicist I was in town for the day to see my client's film presented at the drive in.

Pulling up the valet was fast and efficient as well as courteous and informed. He even mentioned the Sunday brunch on the roof, nice touch! I didn't even know about it and now I wanted to go!

Entering the lobby is was quiet and appealing. The restaurant however was dead. Only 1 table of three (a toddler with his parents) were in a booth. There was no host/ hostess present and we waited a good 5-6 min. before seeing anyone. We had such limited time I suggested we move on but just a min. more a server appeared and took us to a booth.

From then the service was great and attentive. Suggestions were made, personal contact and rapport established. We only had time for two apps and drinks - but both were terrific. I got the mushroom flat bread- with chèvre. Amazing. I could have had two! My dining partner had the Togarashi Tater Tots with scallions and a miso aioli. Terrific as well! For drinks I had the American Riviera (Hendricks Gin, Elderflower, Sparking wine and lemon). She had the Hibiscus Habanero Margarita. Both hit the spot, were attractive and on point. I could have had 2!

We really wish we had more time. The menu looked amazing and the choices endless. I will be back and hope to not only stay at the attached boutique hotel, but also eat a full meal there and take part in the rooftop Sunday Brunch! If only time were not so limited and money never an object!

Very nice and convenient place. We went for a special occasion and our expectations were better than expected! Service is really good and friendly, the food is delicious and the views are amazing. We enjoyed and for sure we will come back soon. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful outdoor rooftop dining during covid. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer of devil eggs and for our entrees we were pleased with the trout and hamburger. This hotel restaurant is definitely worthy!

It did not live up to the expectations. They had one waiter & one bartender serving the entire rooftop, about 15-20 tables. The food and cocktail menus were much smaller than what their website shows. The drinks were served in plastic pool cups. The food and drinks were mediocre. All in all, they’ve done a poor job of adapting to the new way of Covid life and quality has clearly gone down.

We went for Sunday brunch recently. The restaurant is located on the rooftop during the pandemic which is nice. The views are amazing up there, and there's plenty of space. They definitely have some kinks to work out though. The waiters were overloaded and very busy. It took a while to get initial drink order and refills. We placed 2 orders of the cheeseburger which is a double patty burger. One was ordered without cheese and came out with a single patty. We asked the waiter and he said they ran out of patties as other double patty burgers were coming out. Maybe he was joking. He offered to take off the cost of a soda to make up for the missing patty. Aside from the burgers, we ordered 2 plates of the shrimp polenta. It was OK. Mimosas were fine. Overall, there wasn't anything that stood out except the view. I won't be going back.

Covid visit to the space on the rooftop of the Kimpton Hotel. They are really doing all they can and it was so appreciated. It was ridiculously windy and cold the evening that we went and I wish I could say this was a great option, but it's simply just good for the current state of things. That said, the skeleton staff ( I think 4 total people including Chef in main restaurant ) did a truly amazing job to serve everyone somewhat seamlessly. Just an outstanding job!

The food was, as always, excellent, drinks were very good and I 100% recommend! I will be happy when they go back to the restaurant space but if we lived closer, I'd support this effort on the rooftop as much as possible for as long as it took.

We went on Valentine's Day. They had a set menu of three entrees, two appetizers and two desserts to choose from. It was $70 each. One could do a pairing with wine for an extra $30. They had the wines listed on the menu. I had the grilled rainbow trout served on a bed of risotto with string beans. The trout was delicious. The risotto was excellent, but the string beans were mixed in with the risotto and were not cut, so it was awkward trying to eat them together. The carrot and brown butter soup was probably the best soup I have ever had. We hadn't received the soup when our entree came and we had to ask for it. It was supposed to come with brioche, but none ever appeared. It was warmish. The dessert of dark chocolate Panna Cotta so good. It was supposed to come with grapes, but none were present on the dish, which was fine because the dessert was good on its own. I would not recommend Finch and Fork to anyone nor will we be back. Now in all fairness, maybe this was not the real Finch and Fork. Our reservation was for the Finch and Fork, but our bill said Canary. One other nice thing was having it on the rooftop. It was beautiful and we were seated right up against the wall so we had the best view! I think they probably tried to make it nice for Valentine's Day, but just failed.
