Excellent as always. Our go to placer all our family events.
Really any of the categories above would fit depending on one’s budget.
I had lamb chops which were superb. I have celiac and they took good care of me. The veggies were great and a great variety. A bit on the crunchy side for my tastes, but so easy to over cook so I didn’t send them back. They were beautifully arranged. The sauce on the lamb chops was really good. At first they looked too rare but they actually were perfect!!!
My Mom had ceasar salad and said it was one of the best ceasars she’s ever had. She’s 91 and has been ordering ceasars almost every time we’ve gone out in my 62 years. So that’s a lot of ceasars to be in competition with.
Our waiter was super nice and helpful.
Firehouse Bistro feels like a special getaway. So quaint and romantic. All of our meals have been delicious, and as a diner with gluten sensitivities, I truly appreciate the special attention and care they provide. Amazing service. Amazing food.
Great spot for a classy date
A lovely birthday celebration!
This was our second dinner at Firehouse Bistro and we were not disappointed on either evening. On this last night we ate in the backroom by the bar, which was more quiet than the front dining room that had an energetic sound level. The dining room was full and everyone was clearly enjoying their evening. Dinner was excellent! I had the pork chop and it was tender/juicy - delicious - served with polenta, fresh veggies. My husband had a double cheeseburger/fries and both were delicious. Service was excellent from the maitre de to the server. This is a perfect spot for a romantic date night or for an evening with friends.
So kind and such amazing food! Had a great night!!
We were disappointed this time with Firehouse Bistro. We have always enjoyed our meals there, but on Mother’s Day there was a prix fixe menu, and the experience felt like being on a factory line. The meal was rushed, and the food wasn’t up to its normally high standards. And it was quite expensive. I don’t think we’ll return.
Really good food! The restaurant is super cute and calm. Overall you enjoy the meal in a nice and stress free atmosphere
I do not recommend. The food was just okay; the atmosphere was dark and outdated. The servers were attentive but not knowledgeable about the dishes and didn’t describe anything that was brought to us, just dropped the plates and ran off leaving us to figure it out.
I always find this restaurant to be very good. But it’s usually also very empty which I don’t understand. This Friday we were a party of 9 and other than us only three other tables had people. So the restaurant seemed about 50% full. I don’t get it. This restaurant deserves more customers. It’s really a very good place with excellent service and a super quaint ambiance.
We had a fabulous dinner at Firehouse bistro!! Our salads were delicious, and the salmon and sea bass entrees were wonderful!! Our service is always great and the restaurant is quiet so you talk very easily at your table. We love this restaurant and have been there numerous times in the past few months! We highly recommend it!!
There happened to be a party of 20 right next to us which I know is not normal. So the extra noise can be excused. Two of us ordered the special, which was the "10 spice halibut". It must have only had two spices as we both thought it was very bland. The non-traditional bread pudding was the best dish. All of the other dishes were average at best.
We got there on time for our 7:30pm reservation and had a table located next to the fireplace. The service was just very quick and it felt like they wanted to make sure we leave early. Barely had we ordered desert, that it arrived. My guest's food was OK (tuna tartare and salmon entree) but mine was not good: Brussels sprouts that were too spicy and a pork chop with applesauce and polenta that were not good. The meat itself was good though.
Nice ambience but food overpriced and service was lacking. With the Village Pub next door, I can see why the restaurant was only half-full on a Friday night at prime Time.
The food was impressive, the service superb. The restaurant was full on a Tuesday night- a testament to their quality in all facets.
This charming little restaurant has a very warm and welcoming staff as well as a wonderful menu. It is always a pleasure to have an evening here.
Love the interior of this place - so quaint yet sort of funky! The Brussels sprouts are a must, the salads were great and all of our mains were excellent. The service was outstanding- we’ll be back!!
Great dinner. love the atmosphere and the service was phenominal.
Fantastic service, ambiance and food! Can’t believe it took us so long to discover this. A hidden gem. Lamb, beet salad, crepe brûlée and local Pinot Noir were all delicious.
We now have made this restaurant on our great list and go all the time. Love those Lamb Chops
Fantastic food and great service
Wonderful Valentine's menu. Food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and well presented. Would return anytime.
The server was amazing. He had the entire room but the service was impeccable. The food was great and it was a delightful birthday.
Our food was excellent and service was superb. It was a slow night out for dining and so the noise level was perfect for conversation.
We ate here on a rainy super bowl Sunday. As such, it was a very quiet place, but it’s such a great ambience. Nice warm fireplace, old-world style, very good food and fantastic service.
Our food was delicious and the service was excellent! Very nice ambience and easy to carry on conversations.....noise level not too loud. I highly recommend this restaurant.
A disappointing visit from our previous. For a $45 rack of lamb I would expect more than 1/2 a rack. Wine list borders on the pricey.
The bathroom was disgusting! We told the servers who appreciated us letting them know, but their effort to cleaning it up was minimal at best. The food was okay...but not with the prices. The service was between rude/poor to alright, depending on the person. Wouldn’t go back.
Food was outstanding!!! But our waiter....worst ever....He was distracted, first we got someone else's bill, then second time we got charged for two glasses of wine instead of one. When we told him the mistake, he said straight to my face that he came back to me asked if I want another glass of wine and I said yes.
He never came back to us not to ask if I want another glass nor check on us how is the food.....
Very disappointing experience, we went there for Christmas dinner.......At the end he corrected the bill but it was embarrassing and awkward.Maybe he shouldn't be so busy texting on his phone.....
But the food was amazing and we liked the ambience.
We chose Firehouse Bistro for a (senior's) birthday. Perhaps because we had a reservation and indicated it was a special occasion, we were seated in a small back room near the bar, and had the room virtually to ourselves through the entire meal. It was very quiet; we could converse normally (important to one guest with hearing difficulties), and really enjoyed our meal and the occasion as a result. Our experience would have been very different, however, if we had been seated in the main room, which grew increasingly crowded as the night wore on and unbearably noisy at the same time. I doubt we could have stayed through the meal under those circumstances. The small menu was nicely varied, the food well prepared and excellently served, the prices reasonable for the menu items. We fully enjoyed our experience, but only because of our very fortunate location in this small restaurant.
Poor variety of food...
Not a big options in seafood
Bad variety in salads
I loved the brussel sprouts!! Maybe next time I will order a double order and call it a meal. I found the lamb sort of plain and too much sauce and the veggies were over cooked and way too oily. My Mom ordered salmon and a caesar salad and she really liked both.
The food was good. I had the Hamburger, so I didn't get to test the Chefs creativity. Service was pleasant and the Malbec was very nice.
The staff are wonderful and surprised us with special birthday treats! The food is seasonal and always wonderful and the bread and dipping sauces are special!
Beef tartare, roasted brussels sprouts, rack of lamb all EXCEPTIONAL, and I am a very good cook so very hard to please.
This charming building in the heart of Woodside lends itself to cozy, intimate dinners of classic Bistro fare, flawlessly prepared and attentively served. We found a perfect respite on a rainy evening; the fire was blazing in the hearth while guests were made welcome with comfortable seating and an engaging wine list. This is one of several restaurants in Woodside, and strikes the perfect balance between the cheerful chaos of the local “bike & brunch” joint, and the pricier, more pretentious pub down the street. Well done, Fire House Bistro!
The four of us dining for the first time at the Firehouse Bistro all loved it! It is very cozy inside with a large fireplace and the food was excellent. There is one negative thing I have to say, unfortunately, and that is that the chairs look very plush but were very uncomfortable. You sink down in the middle and feel the wooden frame hard up against the bottom of your thighs. Each person in our party had that to say about the chairs!
Loved it. Will be back.
