Flames Bar and Grill
Staff made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door. My steak was cooked perfectly and the quality of meat was impeccable. Appetizers and desserts were great. Service was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. Best steakhouse in Westchester. We will be back soon.
Way over priced service was poor.$400.00 for my wife and I for that it should of been 5 stares across the board no question.I asked for a romantic table because it was our anniversary and was put in a row of 2 party tables 2 feet away from each other you couldn’t possible talk low enough for a private conversation. Will NOT be eating there again.
Considering that it was Valentines' Day, everything was very good. We have been there before and the service was better, but we were very satisfied with our evening.
Service was not great at all spent most of the time waiting to order or simply asking for utensils. They were way understaffed. I understand it was Valentine's day but they should have been better prepared. My wife and kids both had the filet mignon the wife's did not taste right at all and the water also had this moldy taste. $441 not including tip I expected top service and food, both were lacking. Will not be back.
Prices are extremely high and out of wack for Westchester. Service was inattentive. Many items that we order had to be re-selected because the item was”out of stock”.
My steak was good but not comparable to other steakhouses such as Peter Luger’s, Ruth Chris or evening Benjamin’s
All in all very disappointing and outrageously priced.
Had dinner there February 2020 with a group. Great service and a nice atmosphere. We ordered a seafood platter, steak for 4, brussels and mash , and desserts.
Seafood platter was ok not great but poor presentation
Steaks were plentiful cooked perfect but were somewhat chewy
Sides were plain no flavor
Desserts were poor, cheesecake, chocolate cake, streusel, tiramisu all not great
Not what we expected for $650!!!
They could do better with presentation and flavors on all aspects of food.
Great service. Food came out quick and perfect. The waiters and manager really made sure all went well.
The menu prices were much more than Open Table rated. The name "Flames Bar and Grill" would not lead me to believe it was so formal. Food was a little pricey for the serving size. Waiters very welcoming!
Nothing but the best at this Westchester steakhouse. They take pride in serving the best steaks and seafood... that’s what makes it the best.
New Years dinner was fabulous
Superb! This is our favorite restaurant John and his staff are always warm and welcoming while the food is high quality and prepared perfectly.
My family & I love this place. Always amazing service & food. We’ll be back !
Flames provides a genuine experience like no other. The owners & staff make you feel at home with their amazing hospitality. Anything that you order on the menu will be perfectly prepared and will never disappoint. Excellent quality and the pricing is great for such a high quality steakhouse. After dining at Flames, I have yet to find a steakhouse like this anywhere in NY. Outstanding overall experience.
This is the place to go if you want to have a delicious special dinner. The staff is great as is the food.
Everything from the staff to the food was outstanding. Very accommodating to all our last minute requests. We will definitely be back.
Westchester’s Best Steakhouse. The owner ensures quality food and great service. Thank you!
The first unpleasant surprise came when the a dozen of ordered oysters arrived. They looked dry, which led us to take a sniff first instead of just popping them into the mouth immediately. Yep, they smelled. Though we were reassured that the oysters were fresh, our noses knew better. The order was returned and we were not charged.
Second, was the beet salad. Though the beets were supposed to be the star ingredient, they were too-too overdone, like they came from a can instead of being freshly prepared.
The side order of Brussels sprouts was no better.
Instead of being green in color, they were devoid of any color, cooked to death. Too soft and listless.
And finally the T-bone steak. Though properly cooked to medium rare, the meat was very fibrous, kind of un-chewy.
All in all, sorry to say, it was an unsatisfying dinner experience.
I have been dining at Flames Bar and Grill for several years since the new owners took over. Joey is consistently the most gracious host, and John the Matre'd is the consummate professional who exceeds in overall service and hospitality. I often dine in NYC Steakhouses. Flames Bar and Grill surpasses all, with their quality dry aged meat, service and hospitality. I judge a restaurant not only by their food and service but how I have feel when I leave. Joey, John and their entire Flames Team never fail in making me, my family and friends feel very special!!
ALTHOUGH IT IS WAY OVERPRICED THE BEEF IS THE BEST AND PREPARED EXACTLY HOW YOU ASK FOR IT.
Out of all of the Westchester Co restaurants I could have chosen to celebrate my birthday, I absolutely wanted to spend it at Flames Bar and Grill. From the warm greeting at the door through our amazing dinner then to the staff singing Happy Birthday along with Tiramisu, I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful evening.
John made you feel at home as soon as you walked through the door. My steak was cooked perfectly and the quality of meat was impeccable. Service was amazing and we all enjoyed our food. Best steak house in Westchester.
Have gone here for years. Seems to have been a big drop in quality.
Ordered a hearts of lettuce salad, a steakhouse staple. It was one head of lettuce cut in half. Period. No bacon, no tomatoes, no onions. When I asked they brought me bacon. Said they only include it if you ask. And this for $13.
The steak was quite good. However, we asked them if they slice the steak or leave the meat on the bone. They said that they leave the meat on the bone. When we got the steaks, the meat was cut off the bone.
And we ordered creamed spinach. It was tasteless and we didn’t eat it. They asked us if we wanted to take it home and we said no and they never asked us if it was ok.
A shame. We have taken one of our long favorite steakhouses off of our list.
The service was outstanding and the food was terrific.
Flames has always been perfect. Steak cooked to perfection with excellent service. Love this place! Owner Joey is always extremely personable and great host.
Just OK. Been here a lot but unfortunately not as good as it used to be. Plenty of staff, but service was uncoordinated. Should be much better at this price point.
This steakhouse is good for special occasions. The service was very good. The staff is accommodating and friendly. However the steaks are pricy. I ordered a porterhouse for 2.
The food was great; however, the cost is outrageous. Although I was aware that the cost was high, it was much higher than the last time I was there (over 10 years ago). I probably will not be eating at Flames again in the near future...it's a big hit to the pocket book.
Went for my birthday with my family. Steaks and lobster were the best! Appetizers were delicious too. Definitely a special occasion restaurant!
Outstanding service and food consistently.
As always, the food and the service did not disappoint! We enjoy Flames for special celebratory occasions, and we make sure to order many of the side dishes (creamed spinach, home fries and any/all of the sauteed veggies are terrific) and appetizers/salads (crab cakes and beet salad). The main draw of course is the steak, but I have to say the sea bass was amazing as well. This time we even somehow managed to try some delicious desserts (creme brulee, tiramisu and the fruit sorbets were all on point!) Another leisurely fine dining experience done absolutely right!
Not really a fan of Flames. Steak was grossly undercooked and the quality of the cuts do not match with the price charged. Additionally, the appetizers and sides are pretty underwhelming.
Always good food and service in a comfortable setting.
Unwelcoming host/servers don’t give you the best first impression.
I asked about the “Chicken Martini” on the menu and was told it was “roasted chicken with light lemon sauce”... I got a breaded/fried cutlet in a sweet lemon glaze. Husband’s filet mignon was “ok” not great. For $55 he was expecting better than OK.
As for ambiance- it’s nice but I could see it getting VERY loud if it’s busy. Hardwood everywhere and high ceilings just echo sound.
Servers were terse, and never came to check back after meals were delivered.
Our bill came to $115 for a filet, the chicken dish, a glass of wine, and a mediocre cappuccino. We won’t be going back.
They never disappoint. Service impeccable and food outstanding.
Excellent meal! Steak temperature prepared as requested. Staff was very accommodating. Highly recommend
The service was outstanding and the food was superb!!
We enjoyed my son’s birthday dinner. Everyone enjoyed their steak dinner. I loved the Chicken Parmigiana! The host is always nice and very professional. Our young male server didn’t serve the dinner and the sides at the same time so it upset one of our guests. Overall-it was a good meal.
