Nice ambiance. Drinks were good but overpriced. Food was rather bland unfortunately.
Restaurant is a real gem in Toronto!! Cosy and quaint with killer food!! Drinks and cocktails better than average but food is what makes this place dynamite.
Highly recommend it if you want good value for money and something a little off the beaten path.
The service was excellent and the food delicious. Will be going again soon!
The food was delicious, and our waiter was funny, kind, and very attentive., without being too overbearing. Happy to return again soon.
Very good portions of food for Winterlicious, enjoyed flavours. Found the cocktails expensive and the music a bit loud but would return for Taco Tuesday.
Music was a bit too loud. Cozy atmosphere. A bit tight but overall nice place
I was disappointed with this restaurant. With the exception of the tortilla soup, which was delicious, the rest of the meal was just okay. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was the service. The servers were more attentive to the other patrons than they were with us and I’m still waiting for the water I asked for. Despite telling the staff that I had made a reservation, I received an email the next day saying that I didn’t show up.
The Mojitos are great!!
Baha Fish Tacos were yummy
Winterlicious 2020 lunch. Portions were perfect. Soup delicious. Chicken main dish delicious. Churros was warm and a little hard/ though. Flan was amazing! Overall a good experience and would go back.
Our experience was good overall. Atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The challenge was we didn't feel it was great value for the money. The portions seemed very small for the price. For example quac and chips were approx $14 and it was a very small serving. Shrimp taco's were good (I've had better) but again 3 very small taco's for approx $15. Drinks were very good but again $15 for a pretty small glass. I think this is the reason they're not busy when everything else in the area is packed.
Fonda Lola made our 1st dating anniversary super special! Their whole team of servers and chef were so welcoming and warm, and the food and drinks were amazing! We love coming here whenever we can, as they make our experience extra special!
We drove from Hamilton to find that the restaurant was closed. Booking a reservation should not have been an option for this restaurant if they are closed for the holidays.
Amazing food and service but was a little loud.
Unfortunately, the food was so bad that I cannot give Fonda Lola the credit its decor deserves. The overall space and ambience was beautiful but the food was extremely expensive and not at all well-cooked or seasoned. We won't be coming back
We really enjoy Fonda Lola. It’s our third time, and it won’t be our last!
Stumbled across this place on a walk one day and decided to try it. It was just perfect, from the food to the service to the interiors - just perfect. Thank you.
What a fantastic place this is. The food and the personal service by the owner and the chef is amazing. Great Mexican food. Authentic and real.
Amazing place! Authentic Mexican in Toronto. Dinner menu is so great. The steak is incredible. Ceviche is so fresh and tangy. The guac is real and tastes so good. My fav Mexican in the city. Really nice ownership and staff as well. The lights and the room in general is sooo good as well. My fav.
The best Mexican in the city. Everything is so fresh and authentic. The colours, the ingredients, the taste!!! It doesn’t get better than this for Mexican food in Toronto.
If you haven’t eaten here yet and you like Mexican food, you need to get here and fast. AMAZING!!!
Lovely lovely restaurant! If you ever go promise me you will go to the patio... Super cute & cozy even is the crisp weather of autumn. I cannot imagine what it would be like in beautiful summer weather!
My friends invited me to celebrate my birthday -I come from Mexico. I was happy as I had not been to Fonda Lola and the website looked nice.
Very disapointing experience. Not worth the time or money. Super expensive for very mediocre food. "Mexican inspired" but far from authentic. A bit flavourless to be honest. Patio space, tables and benches were very small and uncomfortable. Will not return.
Really great food. And the drinks were well made. Would definitely go back
I love this restaurant. Their styling is unique, cute, and fun and their food is great (and easy to share). It's both a cute spot for a date night and a fun place to go with friends. It's one of my favourite spots for Mexican cuisine in Toronto.
Loved everything about Fonda Lola. Can’t wait to go back.
Another excellent dinner
Really wonderful taco bar and tortilla soup - really. The patio is charming both in decor and shade. We thought the servers were tops. The coke was flat, the replacement was flat, how can that be? Not from a fountain, supposedly cans freshly opened but flat coke is a drag. They shouldn't have charged us for the flat drinks but that was a small thing, overall, we loved them.
We went for summerlicious. Food was very tasty, but portions were a bit small. Will go back for the regular menu next time! Still enjoyed the experience!
The salsa was delicious..one of the best I've tasted. The homemade tortilla chips were warm and tasty. The food came out fast and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately it's not wheelchair accessible (well at least not if you have to go to the bathroom...it's downstairs). I will be back to try something different.
Lovely cozy place. Amazing food. Worth checking it!
Went here for summerlicious for brunch. The portion was very small but it was very delicious. The ambience at the patio was very nice. I loved everything except the chair i was sitting on that was very wobbly. I would come back here again
Food was bland with very little flavour. The waitress was a little condescending at times and definitely acted like she was doing us a favour by bringing our food out.
Decor is nice and has an expensive feel, but the food is poor.
We went here for summerlicious and the items were so small. Atmosphere at the back patio is super cool, drinks were good but really expensive.
The fish taco and cilantro dressing was delicious. The classic Mojito was refreshing, and the avocado ice cream was sinful treat. The restaurant was so pretty with the back patio and twinkly lights, down to the blue and white plates with orange napkins a feast for the senses as well and the stomach.
