Francesca's Bryn Mawr

The service here is outstanding and the food is consistently good. I had the Napoletano pizza. I would have liked it crisper but it still tasted good. The arugula salad was also very good.
Francesca's has always been consistent with its food, and, the staff is usually pretty attentive. The food is delicious and the menu changes frequently with the exception of the main staples, which are always on the menu.
Always a great time. The food and service are the best. This is my favorite Italian spot in Chicago.
We went there on a Friday night. It was during the Covid 19 period before the decision for Chicago restaurants to close. There was enough social distance between diners. I had a perfect martini before dinner. The bruschetta was one of the best I’ve had. The Salmon with mushrooms and leek cream sauce was very good and the portion was the perfect size. My husband had the roast chicken with zucchini and goat cheese and liked that very much. We had tiramisu for dessert, which I don’t always like, but this one was great. We used to come here fairly often for birthday dinners, etc., but hadn’t been for several years. We will definitely return once the virus restrictions are lifted.
All 3 of our meals were excellent; two of us shared a Caesar salad and they split it for us; yummy profiteroles (our favorite) and excellent tiramisu. We will be back. Thank you, Francesca's.
We had an excellent experience at Francesca's on Bryn Mawr, as usual. The food and service are reliably good, and the ambience is pleasant.
Food was delicious and service was great.
I had pasta a oglio, sausage and peppers, chocolate chip mint ice cream. Servers were friendly and efficient. Food was good
One of the favorite places in the neighborhood. Friends from the burbs love going here whenever we all go to dinner. Will always come back.
We go to Francesca's Bryn Mawr for every special occasion. Great food, atmosphere, service!
The meals at Francesca's were excellent and the dessert was great.
Food was amazing. Service was good and food came out fast even though the restaurant was super busy. Loved our waiter.
Very busy, but with reservations I was able to get seated pretty quickly. Very good food, very good service, we will be back again.
Francesca’s is consistently a good choice: very good food, a mostly warmly casual atmosphere (a bit loud), and usually steady service. I’m there often. On my last visit, the bar was as behind in making drinks, and the service was a bit less attentive than usual. But still this is a favorite place.
Food was delicious, service was right on and the dining room atmosphere was lovely.
Great food Very good service also
This is by far one of the beat Italian restaurants in Chicago. The seafood options change regularly and are always perfectly cooked. I know there are other Francesca's in other locations in Chicago, but Bryn Mawr has the best atmosphere and the wait staff couldn't be nicer.
We had a great time. The service was spot on both at the bar and our table. Thank you Victor!
This was our second time at the restaurant. Since it was Valentine's day, the place was absolutely packed. We were delighted to find out that the acoustics made it one of the quietest experiences ever.
The carpaccio and Pasta were amazing. The pizza was nothing to write about. The wine of the weekend was as good as another one we had last time we came.
The service was fast and kind. It was a little chilly at by the window, so we asked to move inwards the staff moved us quickly and easily.
Great luck! We got a booth in the bar, our favorite room ! Next time, though, maybe a little farther from restroom (deodorizer somehow wafted.)
We are otherwise never disappointed here—one of our awesome go-to restaurants for great food and service!
Initially seated in an extremely cold area so asked to be reseated. Then seated - better but still next to windows so still a bit chilly. Next time will request a table in the inner restaurant
I had gathered a group of seven, many arriving separately, and Francesca's handled our group beautifully. Even people who didn't sit down until half an hour later than the first to arrive were served and had time to finish before we went to a play across the street.
Excellent, food, service & value. Convenient location for people located in downtown Chicago to meet up with people from Evanston & Skokie because of red line access & Lake Shore drive proximity .
I love this place, but this time the main course was not up to their usual standards
I took my friend there for her birthday celebration and we were in one very loud area. We asked our server to help move us and she gave us a spot very private and very quiet. Of course the food was wonderful as always and we had a wonderful celebration.
We frequent Francesca’s and yet, this most recent experience exceeded our expectations! The service was spot on from the second we walked in the door. Everyone and I mean everyone addressed our needs. They were friendly, kind and beyond courteous. It was delight.
We went for brunch before a play. The food was good, standard brunch fare with a slight Italian influence.
Always an excellent meal.
My friend and I had a great time at Francesca's for brunch! As always, the food was tasty, the service was great, and the prices are reasonable.
we only get around to going here once a year and always question why we dont go more often. the room is fantastic. the food is wonderful. my wife requested a modified menu option including a gluten free pasta which they did wonderfully. at the time there was a jazz duo which really classed up the joint and i hope they have more of that in the future.
This used to be a favorite place but my experience this week was very poor. Quick drinks, appetizers and salads then no waiter in sight . We tried to order a bottle of wine, various staff members said they would find the waiter, eventually he appeared with our entrees and a wine menu. Nothing on the menu sounded great but I ordered the pork tenderloin, tough and bland. The Conchiglia with ham my husband had was terrible. So disappointing. Hopefully, just an off night!
Very good. Service was good and food was good also and a good value.
I was looking for a lunch venue for a get-together with old friends from out of town. It had to be quiet so that we could visit and also had to have a traditional menu. Francesca's was perfect on all counts. The waitress was there when we needed her and absent when we didn't. We enjoyed bloody Marys and good food. They let us sit there long after the lunch people were gone. I would highly recommend Francesca's.
My husband and I had a lovely evening at Francesca's Bryn Mawr. The food was terrific, as always. Our server and the restaurant were very accommodating, offering menu suggestions and made a requested substitution.
Always a delightful meal here, great food, fresh ingredients, warm and comfy ambiance and impeccable service.
The food here is always good and reasonably priced. We come here after a play at the Redtwist theater and get a 15% discount. We always get the same waiter, Mat, who does a great job taking care of us.
