Franchesco's

We brought our granddaughters who are seven years old because we wanted them to experience a fine dining experience where they could use the right table manners and experience people graciously serving them. We were not disappointed. It ended up being the exact same experience we wanted them to have. From Joe at the coat check to all of your wonderful waitstaff it was perfect!!

Great place to eat and love the piano!

The ambiance and food couldn't have been better. We highly recommend Francescos for a romantic dinner or any special occasion.

The price that we paid was too expensive for what was served... the food was not hot and the turkey was bits and pieces of white/dark meat... the waiter was yawning and was not attentive. We would not recommend this Thanksgiving “special” ! The total bill could have feed several people a great dinner at home... sorry but the dinner was not good!!

This was the second year we spent our Thanksgiving at Franchesco's and all was great. The service was friendly and the food, never a disappointment . Thank you Franchesco's for making out Thanksgiving a very lovely day.

Was appropriate for the occasion. Seating was a little tight, but I enjoyed myself. Live music was offered.

Great "Married Date Night" get-a-way! Wait staff was attentive and the food was Excellent!

It was a beautiful place that radiated romance and class. The food was superb and the service outstanding.

Bad service

Food was outstanding but unusual loud music from a party/shower in the large private room affected the normal pleasant ambiance in main dining room.

The best overall dining experience in Rockford in many years. We brought our parents to dinner from out of town and they left extremely happy about the evening.

We were a table of eight. The service was slow considering the restaurant was not at all busy. It took at least 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. The food was very good.

First time visit. Awesome food, great service, beautiful restaurant. A definite new favorite!

Of the many times we have enjoyed eating at Franchesco's, this last time was a little bit of a let-down. After placing my wife's order for Nonna's Lasagna Classica ( with meat sauce and no ricotta specified) we were surprised when the food that was brought to our table was Nonna's Ricotta Lasagna. My wife
dislikes ricotta. Why would a substitution in an order be made in our order?

Wonderful evening!

The food and service is exceptional. My personal favorite is the boursin filet. Brandon our server was attentive and very upbeat. We had a most excellent experience.

Was a bit disappointed with having a reservation and then we arrived 20 minutes early- we mentioned we wanted to go sit at the bar for a cocktail until the time of our reservation. When we went back at 6pm- the time of our original appt- they said they were under the assumption we wanted to eat at the bar. They should have asked. We had to wait 30-45 more minutes to be seated- no apologies and they did not try to get us a seat sooner. Besides that, food was excellent, service was great, loved the atmosphere. Would def visit again.

Birthday dinner celebration for my 25 year old niece was excellent. She chose the location. It was a wonderful meal. Food, service, piano music, etc. were all fantastic.

All of our meals were excellent. The wait staff was outstanding also.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a very sweet young lady. We were seated right where I asked by the piano, the piano player was great! Our server Lucas was excellent, might be the best we have ever had any where 🥇. The food was superb as always! Everyone we encountered was gracious as well. I told the hostess when we left how wonderful our evening was. We will be back soon and ask for Lucas to be our server. Both of us mentioned that the ambiance at Franchescos is one of a kind found in Rockford. Thank you for a wonderful evening and meal!

I didn't know what to expect since this was my first time in Franchesco's, but it was a gorgeous building with impeccable food and service. Will definitely be coming back!

Great food, and we we really enjoyed the music (Tribute) on the patio. Our server was very nice, and overall, we had a thoroughly nice evening.

Love Franchesco’s! Have been there several times for special occasions. This time, we were celebrating my Mom’s 91st birthday! The service from Nathan was excellent: I had brought a birthday cake in, and he managed to find room on it for the candles-not an easy job on a decorated bundt cake! The leftover cake was divided up correctly and put in boxes for us. The food is always fantastic there, and the piano player adds just the right touch of ambience. Truly this restaurant is one of Rockford’s best assets. Highly recommend for any special occasion, or just to enjoy an intimate relaxing evening with great food and great service.

The food and service were outstanding. We have never been disappointed with a meal out at Franchesco’s!

Great place for a quiet dinner.

Had a party of ten. Drinks took forever as well as food. When food arrived all was overcooked, not what was ordered. Poor waiter was chastised by his manager all night. Paid more than $60 per plate and expected more of this place. Will not return until better managed.
