Everything was excellent! The food, drinks, servers, ambiance, it was all superb. Would definitely be back and highly recommend.
It was my daughters birthday dinner, we were promptly served and check on through our dining experience.

We order scallops and gnocchi entrees and seafood salad Salad and scallops were good gnocchi was undercooked Not aldente, but undercook Not very tasteful

The hostess Sarah, very professional and pleasant on phone and in person. Our waiter Moses, professional and Courteous.
Was extremely expensive. With tip, just shy of $200 for 2. We had a gift certificate, had a cocktail each and wine. I had rib $36 ,hubby had steak which was $43. Didn’t come with bread or salad. Had a super awful banana pie, since there were only 2 choices for dessert. Pie had to be a few days old. Not worth the $$ spent. Go to SLO for dinner.
Excellent tasting food. Slow to arrive out to table.
Gives impression nice garden setting, felt like hotel lobby seating. Waiter argued about whether he told us about mimosas where 5 people were sitting and no one heard him and even so, why an argument ? Then after we ordered he told us about the specials?
Again argued that he told us about them prior.
What a wonderful place! Chef Ruiz creates vibrant flavors in this off-the-beaten path corner: at par with the best the Central Coast has to offer!!!
Great experience, but it was a little cold, and food took a little long to come out, but overall great experience.
The ambiance and service was excellent. The food was a little mixed. The stuffed mushroom was very good. And the scallops and polenta were excellent, however the pork belly served with the scallops was tough and seemed out of place in the dish. Also, the shrimp in the seafood salad was overcooked. Overall we liked the place, had a good time and enjoyed dinner.
Food was absolutely amazingly delicious; from the appetizer - calamari Tempura, to the Warm beet salad with bacon, to our entrees; filet mignon and scallops. Oh, and of course the cocktails… both my husband and I had the Old fashion, which was by far one of the best I've had. We ended our dinner with Warm Banana Pudding and chocolate pudding pie.. they were very good, only thing I can say about the dessert is the my banana pudding was cold.. not warm.
Cant wait to go back.
It’s convenient for breakfast if you are staying at the resort. The fresh juices are awesome and out of the ordinary with jalapeños included 😆
Our food was great and the manager was awesome! We had a tiny issue with our food but he was very quick to fix it and super nice with an excellent attitude! We will definitely be back because of the service the server and manager gave us! The host were also awesome!

Restaurant was freezing cold. No indoor heating. Ruined the ambience which was otherwise five star. Meal too pricey for experience...

The menu was out of this world, the service first class. (ask for Dana) server extraordinar.
And I must say I highly recommend the warm root salad. To die for.

Experience was fine, kalamari was overcooked & were out of a lot of menu items limiting what the table could order.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was great, the salsa verde and bacon jam are really tasty.
Service was great. Food was pretty good. The beet salad was excellent but the diver scallops and braised pork belly were just okay. I would go back just for the delicious beet salad!
Dana was a really personable server. She was the bartender and server and was able to multi task. She made the evening even better.

The food selection was poor. Quality was fair tho the food was NOT hot. Bar selection was poor. One of the outdoor heaters wasn't working, and a guy from somewhere in the facility kept clicking the starter which was very annoying while we were trying to eat. Portions were small yet pricey. We were asked if we were celebrating something special. Tho our response was YES, it was never mentioned by the server again! VERY DISAPPOINTING! Won't return next trip to the area.

They were out of the wine we wanted, and the filet mignon was nothing special. Otherwise, good experience. It's a convenient place to eat if you're staying at the resort, but nothing outstanding.
we had a wonderful meal 5 years ago but not this one, My grilled asparagus was soggy and tough. My wife scallops were few and far between, the were more fried pork bellies than scallops FIRE YOUR CHEFF
Food was okay. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was good, not great. It had an overall flavor of char but not much seasoning. My short rib was gray and chewy almost spongy textured. My also had the burrata cheese appetizer which was good. Sides were really good. It took us almost an hour to receive our food and there was probably 5 other tables sat in the restaurant. We actually had to rush to eat because we had an appointment at the hot springs at 7:30.
We had a very nice dinner. Food and service were both excellent. My wife had the scallops, and I had the fillet. We highly recommend both.
Good food and relaxing atmosphere.
Steak was charred perfectly, the russell sprouts appetizer was delicious! They were out of the Treana Cabernate Sauvagion but the Daou did the job for the night.

The host wasn't that nice to be honest. The food itself was okay. The filet mignon was blackened which is not really my taste. The server was not that professional but polite enough. Atmosphere was excellent. I wish they had bigger menu to choose from .
My wife and I make a point to have a date night here consistently. We just went for her birthday and per usual the food was fantastic and service was great. Ambiance was as good as can be expected in our lovely world of covid rules but we still had a great birthday dinner and can’t wait to get back inside to the bar!
The restaurant is currently open for patio seating. The patio is covered with heat lamps and there is a lovely view. Very romantic setting.

The friendly and helpful server at Gardens of Avila was great! There wasn’t much of a staff at the time, most likely due to Covid, so our server took our order, delivered our food, made our cocktails, and made our Lattes as well...
The menu and food was a bit underwhelming, and for the price, over $33 for the scallops dish I had, there was hardly any food, no soup or salad, no side dish included, so I needed to order an additional side salad ($10) because I was still hungry...
