We had a great night the food was delicious and the service was perfect
Great steak sides are small though could have done with more broccoli
We went for the bottomless Sunday lunch. Food was well presented and our waiter was very attentive. The meat could have been hotter & this is what let down what was in all other respects and enjoyable lunch.
All lovely, but for the price, the restaurant is looking scruffy in the bar area
Amazing food and superb atmosphere. Would definitely come again!
Very poor service from start to end. Food was good, as usual but for the price the service needed to be much better.
Hi Peter, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback regarding your experience. It saddens me to hear you had a negative experience at Gaucho. We strive to deliver a high standard of service and on this occasion, we've let you down. For this, we apologise. May I please ask you for a form of contact (Email or Phone) that our Restaurant Manager can contact you on to discuss this further? Kind Regards, Gaucho Leeds
Fantastic service. Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. We'll be back again in the near future.
Very nice atmosphere, perfect steak and very good service.
We arrived in Leeds early having been to the Gauchos at the O2 the week previous and really enjoyed it. We had a drink at the bar which took forever to be served, and from there on the food was ok, not a patch on exactly the same meals my wife and i had at the O2, and the service was poor, slow, disorganized and the room was red hot, apparently no air conditioning works as there is a planned refit later this year according to one member of staff.
Too many uninterested staff, and when you are charging £325.00 for 7 of us which i dont mind paying, the food and service needs to be excellent, and it was far from that.
Wouldn't go back in a hurry
Food was really nice and our waitress was really helpful
We visited Gaucho Leeds for my sons birthday. We were given a booth which was perfect for the occasion. Great cocktails, great knowledgeable staff, great food and great wine. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Fantastic thank you.
Great food, perfectly prepared. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. It was my birthday and they brought out a desert with a candle on the house; a very nice touch. Thanks for a nice time. X
The service when entering was very good. However once we were at our table it went down hill. No one seemed to be looking after this side of the room. We sat at least 10 mins before we asked a member of staff if we could order a drink, and also had to do this again when our glasses were empty. Also didnt get a choice of what white wine we wanted and at 38pounds I would like to have a choice. Also when the main came I was asked if I would like a condement which never arrived. Very disappointing when you spend 220 pounds for 2 of us. I will not recommend it or visit again which is a shame the food was great
Food was mainly delicious except from the lobster sides they were over cooked. The steak itself was very delicious. The steak isn’t served with any sides it is £5 additional cost for a bowl of chips, a plate of carrots, a plate of broccoli and the steak sauce portion is minuscule. Our bill came to £600. It wasn’t value for money but we were not expecting a cheap meal.
We went to Gaucho to celebrate my son's 21st Birthday. The whole experience was really excellent. I booked a table online, needed to increase the number of guests a couple of days later so rang the restaurant up and that was no problem. We were given a private dining area which we weren't expecting. I was initially concerned it would take away from the atmosphere, but it really didn't; as a big group it gave us a chance to chat and there was no hustle and bustle, and we were still able to see out to the remainder of the restaurant. I think apart from the fact the food was absolutely superb (as was the wine), we were really impressed with the portion sizes (and the choice of portion sizes) - our group was predominantly a bunch of strapping rugby lads who all enjoy their food!
We were very well looked after and agreed that the steaks were probably some of the best we've ever had.
Thank you very much.
Best steak we have ever had! Couldn’t fault anything from our visit. Excellent!
Absolutely the perfect hangover cure on a Sunday! I went for the Bottomless Sunday Roast........They really know how to do a Sunday Roast!
It was really good quality, veg was really well cooked the meat wasn't too rare - just right and they are not shy in topping up whatever you want more of!
Yes you can get a cheaper Sunday roast - but the this was a really good quality Roast. If you're greedy like me, you can come away slightly hungry........bottomless Sunday Lunch is the way to fly! I would definitely go back again!
what an amazing valentines night from start to finish - our waiter was brilliant
we got to sit in a booth which was fantastic
the malbec was beautiful
and the fillet steak was to die for .... we went saturday evening and it’s now monday and i am still watering at the mouth from
the meal - i was worried after a few reviews said there was no atmosphere but this was not the case at all and we had a fab time would defo return
I visited Gaucho on Saturday 15th February with my partner, which overall was a positive evening. The Hostess or greeter placed our coats in a cloakroom and promptly led us to our seat. The young lady who took our order went through the different cuts of Beef for example Rib Eye, Sirloin, Fillet and showed examples on a board of the grams. Incidentally she was very friendly and polite, I think named Jess from memory. The wait between the Starter, Main, Dessert was moderate, the food quality was certainly of a high standard, a nice ambience with focus on small details. One slight frustration was the placement of the Table which was in the centre and quite close to the kitchen, since I typically prefer a corner table and perhaps the lights could be marginally dimmed, since maybe due to our placement they were very bright. Some will probably mention the price. However, from my point of view the prices are clear and transparent online before you book, so you understand it costs slightly more than some of the other restaurants in Leeds for instance on Greek Street.
Always a gorgeous restaurant, fabulous food and service!
The wife and I managed a rare child free weekend so wanted to go out for lunch and some drinks at short notice. Having never been to Gaucho it was a bit of the unknown, but what a fantastic place. The service and ambiance was excellent, but the food was better still. Without doubt the best steak we have had in a long time. We will be back on our next date night, whenever that may be.
Always a fab atmosphere and gorgeous steak! Our go to date night/ lunch
We went to Gaucho to celebrate our engagement eight years after we went there on our very first date. The staff were lovely and the food was outstanding. It’s certainly not cheap bus doesn’t feel overpriced considering the quality of the food.
Great meal, excellent service, would highly recommend! Was a little noisier than our last visit, as we were sat near the kitchen area, but it didn’t put us off and look forward to returning soon
Excellent 1 on 1 service made you feel special, food was cooked exactly how you want it
Great steak -super tender, really tasty. Starters and sides all damn fine too. Nice bustling atmosphere for midweek, very efficient service and good value all round.
Disappointed with experience at Gaucho in Saturday night.
Food average, service not good, decor tacky and tables very close together!
Very overpriced for standard of food and overall experience so would not recommend
Best steak I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend to anyone!
The ribeye that I had medium was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! My partner had the fillet steak medium which was a little over cooked but still tasted nice but for the price his steak could’ve been better. We ordered 2 sides of fries which were delicious with the peppercorn sauce and a side of carrots, for £5 which were slightly disappointing but were presented beautifully but evidently tasted like ordinary plain carrots. The service was amazing, the waiter was very knowledgeable about his steaks and he was attentive and polite! The drinks menu also included a variety, overall our experience was lovely.
Once again we had wonderful food and impeccable service. Can't fault it at all
Was the best steak I have eaten, the service and knowledge the staff had was amazing will definitely be back
Thank you Mathew for taking the time to review you experience with us here at Gaucho. I will pass on your kind words onto Alysha, who looked after you. To receive such high praise for the quality of the food, we are very thankful. We do hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards Gaucho Leeds
Very expensive evening
Good food and good wines but the whole much to expensive !!
we had a brilliant night thanks to the staff and service provided by the Gaucho team. the level of service was outstanding nothing was too much trouble. the approach certainly made our evening. thanks you
Thank you Charles for you kind words regarding you recent visit to us here at Gaucho Leeds. I'm happy we were able to organise our Private Dining Room for your request and we were able to make the birthday celebrations special. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Kind Regards Gaucho Leeds
Superb as always, awesome service and food, Not the cheapest in Leeds by a long way, but they are a long way ahead of the rest in terms of service and food !
Excellent restaurant and the service is amazing.
The waiters very friendly.
One of the staff was very unwelcoming/unfriendly pulling faces at us as we had our autistic son with us and I have requested quite table. Hasn’t happened- had to ask to be moved. Food took over an hour to come and restaurant wasn’t even half full.
We go to Gauchos regularly and this was a big/expensive disappointment.
Gaucho should train their staff on how to welcome SEN customers!
The great thing here of course is the meat, which is always first class. In fact, it is also a nice way to experience a little of the Argentinian way of life right here in Leeds, and now that it has reached us it is a pity not to go from time to time. I will not leave it so long before going back next time!
Lovely meal. However we were not offered to see any other set menus that were online and had to ask.
Had a lovely time but the food wasn't as good as usual, the sirloin had a lot of marbling throughout the steak, more like a rib eye
Whilst the food and ambience continues to be unmatched, the extra touches that Gauchos have gladly added before we’re sadly missing on this occasion.
We dined here on this occasion as it was my mums 65th birthday. I’ve always said about how great Gauchos did “the little things right” on our previous visits. On booking, I mentioned that it was for a special occasion and said what it was. When being shown to our seats, my wife also told the lady why we had chosen to dine with them on that particular evening.
However, not even a “Happy Birthday” from anyone was uttered in my mums direction. Even places like Wetherspoons manage the basics when it comes to courteous and making your guest feel valued.
