slow service, waiter had to be reminded multiple times for drinks and napkins. Food was not seasoned well
Great sunday time. Food was delicious and the live band was enjoyable.
I loved the catfish fingers and also the fried Catfish; it was cooked to perfection. I wasn't excited for the fried chicken and waffle; the chicken was too dry and a bit hard. The music was deafening; I couldn't hear a thing my friend was saying. I will probably be ordering a take out in the future, but I won't be coming to seat in, that noise was just too much for me.

Beautiful experience! My husband and I had not visited the establishment in 14 years. Tonight brought back memories.
Good was great our waitress was the highlight of the night gave us all great food and drink recommendations and she was so friendly . I will definitely be back asap

My family and I came for Thanksgiving dinner last night. Everyone was very polite. Especially when they were able to accommodate an additional person that was added to my reservation.
It must be noted that our reservation was at 6:30pm.
The negative comes once we where seated. Our waiter seemed to not fully know what was and wasn’t available on the menu or how dishes were prepared. . One person in our group has a allergy to citrus. A shrimp dish came with lemon butter. We asked if it could be opted out of the dish or put on the side. He said no. 3 people in my party ordered it. Yet once the meal was delivered the lemon butter was actually on the side except for one person. The lemon butter was poured all over the dish. Strange.
My utensils were dirty. I unrolled the napkin and my fork had lipstick all over it. They ran out of ice tea. The waiter did brew a cup specifically for my mother. Lastly they were out of a certain dessert we wanted. How was this possible? The restaurant opened for dinner at 5pm. Our reservation was for 6:30pm. We weren’t seated until after 7pm. This was the first time I have ever had a negative experience here.
I've had Thanksgiving Dinner's here in the past and, quite frankly, they were tastier and less expensive. Pre-charging a 20% gratuity on parties of less than 4 diners seems excessive, even on Thanksgiving day.
The food was great! Hubby and I visited for Thanksgiving, dinner was $75 pp.
We expected an amazing experience but was a little let down. There are amazing places in DC to eat but we were expecting to be licking our fingers. The serving portions were as expected nothing more. I had stuffed salmon, it was seasoned well. Not much stuffing. Hubby had steak, cooked just the way he likes it! 😊
Dessert we both ordered sweet potato cheesecake but when it came time for our dessert the waiter apologized and said know informed him in advance that they ran out. So, we ordered one dessert we didn’t like the chocolate molt (I believe that was what it was called), it you like melted brownie you’ll love it. The bread pudding, it was good.
All in all, bill came to a little over $200 for two ppl for a three course meal.
I can say, we’ve been to Georgia’s Brown’s restaurant but honestly there’s soooo many restaurants in DC with fabulous food BUSBOYS AND POETS TAKES MY FIVE STARS.
We were seated next to the hostess. The hostess asked me to stand so that a wheelchair could be wheeled through a narrow walkway to a table.
The waiter never gave us water unless we asked but of course he was getting standard pre-set gratuity.
I asked to have our party of 4 moved to a table with MUCH less traffic and was told no. I will never go back to that restaurant.
The restaurant was extremely noisy and chaotic, definitely not the Thanksgiving experience I was expecting. The food was precooked and tasted as such. My salmon was dry and bland. My soup was salty. My bread pudding was dry as well. Service was slow and we waited a long time with dirty dishes on our table between courses. The bathroom was dirty. I went to the stall with the changing table and it was visible soiled and you could tell it had been soiled for some time. Unacceptable! I spent $200 on a meal for two and had a subpar experience. I’m definitely not happy one bit!

The food was not what I expected. The turkey was sliced and dry. The potatoes were watered down. The bread putting was dry. The meal did not meet my expectations for the price.

The brunch special was a little limited but the saving grace was the food. If you order the biscuits you only get one.
There was a live jazz band but it felt too loud. Our group loved it but wanted to turn the volume down just a bit so we weren’t yelling at each other.
Service was slow but it’s expected during g the pandemic and limited servers.
I was extremely disappointed with the hostess. She was short and bit clear. When asked if our table was ready but would f seat until everyone was in front (someone had gone to the restroom) then when we present she said our table wasn’t ready.
The food was great at Sunday brunch and the service was good. The jazz band playing, however, made the entire experience somewhat painful due to the extreme loudness of the band.

Been eating here for 10+ years and this was my first time back after COVID. All of the original waitstaff were gone, the ambiance just felt very different. Instead of good blues music it was an unthoughtful pop playlist. I felt like I was in a Chilis more so than a high end southern restaurant. The hosting station was extremely unprofessional, he spent more time on his phone than attending to the guests. We had to wait for a while when there were plenty of tables available. The server took about 15+ min to come over to our table. The menus were really cheap flimsy papers instead of the nice books we received before. My favorite item, the deconstructed Jambalaya was off the menu for the first time in 10+ years. The Georgia peach martini had changed, or maybe it was just the one bartender making drinks for the entire restaurant and bar that made it not taste great. The most insulting part was the fact that the entire service was horrible but the waiter who barely helped us tacked on a generous tip for himself without our permission. I understand times are tough, but if you barely serve us (other servers attended to us more than he did) or explain the situation, you don’t get my sympathy. I don’t think I’ll be going back again anytime soon.

Birthday on reservation! Nothing was mentioned by the restaurant
I am always satisfied with the menu selections, presentation of the dishes, and flavoring of the food.
The service from our waitress was disappointing. To present a birthday desert with candle and say I don't know who birthday it is took away from the experience of surprise. A little effort to ask the person who made the reservation would have prevented this from happening.

Food was excellent only complaint is the biscuits didn't come out hot and the mimosas took long to get refilled. The hostess at the front didn't even great me. I said good morning how are you and there was no response. Just 'name' other members of my party had the same experience but the waitresses and waiters were all very nice.
This was my first time visiting and I will say, the service and professionalism was definitely 5 star! The ambiance was just right, food was great and service was wonderful! I didn't realize how much food you receive for the value! The only thing I didn't get to was the omelet bar, but maybe next time! I didn't have room for anymore food! The band was great and it's always good to relax and eat with good music to help set the mood! Diamond and Shane were wonderful waitresses and I hope to interact with them again. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be returning again very soon!
The service was very unsatisfactory. The food was very plain and nothing special. It was so loud in the restaurant you couldn't hear the waitress or your table guests. Paying $171 for Georgia Brown's with the overall experience was very very disappointing. I wont be returning and I will advise all of my friends not to waste their time.
10:45 arrival, no food from kitchen until 11:45. New pick and choose menu is slim pickings for the price. Slim salmon portion. Soup and Gumbo was served lukewarm. Mac n Cheese tasted like old cheese was used. $5 for bacon at a Brunch is RIDICULOUS! I used to love coming here. I understand CoVID may have changed business model but the service was unsatisfactory and the only thing that was absolutely delicious was the omelette. I can make that at home though, lost a few good customers, will not return.
