The food, service and ambience was all outstanding!
The food was delicious and the service was top notch. It felt a little bit stuffy to my wife and I, but I would still recommend it as a high quality Michelin-starred restaurant. Plus, the BYOB policy and the affordable wine options from their attached liquor store made it easy to find the perfect wine for the evening.

A great meal that is always a distinct visual treat. This time the meal was timed with a soundtrack with music from Woodstock. It was wonderful total experience. Exceptional as always.

We had an amazing time at Goosefoot. The food and service were spectacular! It was a very easy, non-pretentious experience (unlike many other prix fixe venues). There was plenty of space between the tables and the pace of the courses was perfect … not too fast, not too slow. We will definitely go back.

Extraordinary in all respects! Menu and service were outstanding; accommodated a pescatarian on very short notice. The food looked and tasted exquisite. Portions were generous, given that the restaurant serves a tasting menu. The music and decorations were lovely. A very special place. I've already made my next "special occasion" reservation. I rate this as an overall better experience in terms of food and atmosphere than Next or Alinea. This is a BYOB restaurant, which suited my group fine.

Always a fantastic dining experience. Goosefoot is one of most unique and outstanding dining destinations, especially for Chicago (and any other great food city in the US). Chris is spectacular as a chef/owner. His attention to detail, passion and skill is amazing. Nina, as owner/front of house, is warm, gracious, and extremely personable. The pace of the dining experience is slow and that is much appreciated and should be viewed as a good thing! It gives the diner an opportunity to appreciate the food, the complexity of flavors and have great conversations with fellow guests and with Nina. Whether as a solo diner or as a member of a group I have always had an outstanding experience. The food is unique, beautifully and artistically presented and a true value for the price. Can't wait for my return visit!!
Intimate setting in a comfortable well lit space. The husband & wife duo of kitchen and hospitality really make you fell at home. Great portions, not too big or too small, great scale of flavors throughout the 10 course winter menu meal. Really enjoyed my meal here and would suggest it to anyone celebrating or looking for a place to take a loved one.
This is the very best value and the food is amazing. That being said another server is absolutely necessary to make this a 5-star experience. At least 2 servers would make a world of difference even if the price per person went up by $20/30 to accommodate.

A wonderful experience
Nina served a 10 course mail prepared by Chef Chris and every course was absolutely delicious. The courses ranged from savory soups and meats to fruit juice tonics and homemade chocolate. We savored every bite and enjoyed Nina’s company as she described each dish to us.
The atmosphere was perfect for our style of fine dining. The musical theme was Woodstock. So as we indulged our way through 10 courses, we listened to classic rock from the 60’s. We were celebrating a birthday party and Nina went out of her way to make the night feel special. Definitely a night we’ll remember.
It was our 2nd visit to goosefoot and it was just as wonderful as the 1st time. The hospitality, service and food were outstanding. The venison loin and the pine bud custard were our favorite courses, so delicious! Thank you Chris and Nina for such a great dinner experience.
What a lovely dinner. The presentation of the food was incredibly creative and tasted so good. We felt as though we were being welcomed into Nina & Chris's home. It was my husband's birthday. They wrote a beautiful happy birthday wishes on the dessert plate, also they added a nice touch at the end with a signed menu. The byob factor was great, we selected some wines from their wine store and the wines paired perfectly with the food.
