The best of farm to table - creative and delicious -- great wine list- especially enjoyed their Rosé wine list from around the world...wish they had tasting flights for rosé featured this summer. Young, friendly local wait staff who are well-trained. Friendly yet sophisticated dining. We ate outdoors on the patio (inside sold out) only suggestion would be to add more lighting on patio. Would love to eat inside next time ...inn style atmosphere was appealing - can imagine it also off season it would be very warm and welcoming. Definitely will go back next visit! Already recommended it to one of our foodie friends who arrive next week!

After so much fanfare, and dealing with struggles to get a reservation, we finally had the chance to go to Heirloom. Generally good, but not extraordinarily. Most of the crowd appeared honored to be there, but not for us. Lots of conditions associated with reservations including placing credit card on file for late arrivals, and no-shows was a bit much. Being reminded that our time was up at our table was a little crass as well. Bottom line - would go back, but won't sweat it if you can't easily get a reservation. In other words - not a can't miss.

Incredible high quality service, the food is always five star, and the restaurant is a delight. Indoor and outdoor seating.
We've dined at Heirloom a handful of times and while it's always delicious, we felt this time it was a little lackluster. The star of the show was by far the gazpacho with cucamelon and corn - they do soup SO WELL, every single time! The steak tartare tasted fishy, which was a turnoff. Some bites were good (lots of dill and freshness) and then other bites tasted off (ie, fishy) - maybe there was sardines in the sauce, but didnt love that, unfortunately. I did enjoy my tuna - great Asian style prep but my husband thought the pork chop, which he's had a few times before, fell flat. There wasn't enough flavor in the accompanying veggies. The deconstructed peach pie was great, as were the 2 drinks. I had. We also sat at the bar, which wasn't our first choice, it didnt seem as much of an experience when you're not in the actual restaurant, but that's all they had available.
The octopus appetizer was good, however, last months presentation was even better. Our scallop dinners were tasty, the mushrooms were outstanding. The close proximity of other diners was it's only drawback. As we have experienced in the past the food is outstanding, however, it is a bit pricey.

This was by far the best restaurant I've ever been to in Lewes, DE. Their food is fantastic and thoughtfully put together.
I selected this venue due to the positive reviews. The farm to table concept is very inviting until it means flies surrounding each course with the outdoor seating. We used the wine list to wave the flies away. I requested a candle for the issue from the bus girl, and alerted the waiter. The candle was delivered in time, but it was not Citronella and not very helpful. Our appetizer, Octopus and entrees, Tile Fish and Breaded Maryland Crab were presented in a very creative manner. However, the food was not enjoyable and very pricey. I don't mind pricey if it is delicious.
I have used Open Table for years and all my experiences have been positive until now. I do not recommend outdoor seating at the Heirloom.

Everything was amazing from the minute we sat down at the bar. Chris & Andrea were perfect bartenders & servers. I also appreciated the list of ingredients, as I have many food allergies. If you’re in Lewes, go to Heirloom! It will not disappoint!
