Excellent Indian food with distinct flavours.
We ordered butter chicken and it didn't taste anything like butter chicken more like tomato soup. The garlic naan was really good.
The food was very good. The service was friendly and prompt. We will go again.
Could use some music, to drown out the other tables.
You are in their conversations
Warm owner run business
I would recommend Indian Grill if the person likes spicy or Indian food.
Great food, little gem in the heart of Ossington . It was a wonderful place to go to before going to the lower Ossington theatre . It was great value , great taste for your money
Was closed when google said it was open, planned my whole night around eating there.
It was closed. Answering machine and open table need to be updated. Not sure if it is permanently closed or not
We enjoyed out meal but service was spotty. They didn't take our order for quite awhile even though it was not busy.
We arrived and had to get to a play next door. The food came quickly and they did cater to our timelines. Good food, very casual.
The food is very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is ok and the staff are very friendly.
The food was amazing!!!! We only tried a couple dishes and I can’t wait to go back and try more :)
I am a regular at Indian grill, usually I would give 5 stars all round but today the only thing I was disappointed with was the service. It was very slow due to only having 2 waitresses on for the whole restaurant and also dealing with the phone and takeaways. The two girls were lovely, they were just overwhelmed. I will still go back there, can never fault their food and their naan bread is always amazing.
We really enjoyed the pakoras and tandoori and the warmth emanating from the staff was an added pleasure in this often too-cool-for-school neighbourhood. Excellent service.
Perfect spot to enjoy delicious food before the Theatre! Great value, good wine list, friendly service. Will definitely return!
Great place to eat. Happened to find it after going to the LOT for a show. Food was fantastic and authentic. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Place is small and cozy/intimate. Great place to eat Indian food in Toronto. Would definitely come back again.
Excellent food and wonderful, warm service. We’ll be back!
Very good Indian food with generous servings and good variety of spices. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
We love this restaurant. The service is subtle and professional. Food is always fresh and consistent, amazing naan and rice, and home made desserts are so good.
We were there for my daughter's birthday and brought her a complimentary dessert.
So very kind. I always feel good when eating there. You can feel the love in their cooking.
The food and service were amazing! Highly recommended this restaurant.
First time. LOVED the food and the atmosphere. Can't wait to try it again!
Must try the Tandoori chicken. We had been getting it delivered for a while but finally decided to try it 100% fresh and we were not dissapointed.
We have eaten here twice in the past few days and both times the food was excellent. Good beee choices too. Would highly recommend.
The food was boring. Pakoras were not quite done in middle with large piceces of unpeeled eggplant that were extremely tough. The 'saffron' rice contained VERY LITTLE saffron if any, and I doubt it was even basmati rice. It had no flavour. Food totally lame. There was only one other occupied table when we arrived, three when we left so the wait staff was hardly over-worked. Even so dirty appetizer serving dishes and personal plates were left on our table until next course was ready. We will never return there.
I'd have a review to offer however the restaurant gave my reserved table away. Why did I bother making a reservation and commuting that far if my reservation didn't work. Defeats the purpose of a reservation. I'll never go there again. Also told my friends about he poor service so that they don't go either.
Truly the best Indian dinner I've had in 5 years.
I was so pleased I posted a review in Chowhound and cross posted to their Facebook review on their (Indian Grill) restaurant page
From appetizer to dessert simply great.
Spice layering, fresh ingredients, seasoning and service all spot on.
I'm only sad the don't have a restaurant in my home neighbourhood.
Can't wait to return to try other dishes.
Really you can't make food this delicious without heart.
Great food - very tasty!!! Definitely coming back. That lamb was amazing!!!
Good food, good people. Ordered the lamb vindaloo and chicken korma - both delicious. Would def go back. (But that screw-top wine tho? Poor selection. 10 dollar bottle for 35.) Can't say anything negative - the food was too good.
They let us know they were busy tonight, so as expected, we had to wait longer than we would have like to, to have our food prepared. With that said, even the papadum was a bit of a wait.
After the wait, the food was very good.
