Steak salad and Cream Brulee was awesome. Great service. Thanks Ivy, you never disappoint.
Party of 5 for Son’s graduation meal was great as usual. Only one small issue with his meal. Asked for med well and was closer to well done. He ate it but the charring on the outside prevented him from finishing it.
We had an impromptu b-day celebration for my mom. It waa great.
The place is beautiful (inside and outside seating) looks like an old church with stained glass, etc. The food was outstanding. Love this place. We're already planning our return!
We each had fish. The walleye was great as usual and the special Halibut was excellent. The flavors call combined so well it was like a trip to taste city. Parking is available by valet or the city garage in the rear of the building with ample disabled slots.
Very enjoyable, especially on the patio. Attentive service, but a little pricey overall. Special occasion place, for sure.
Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere. Jazz group on patio was amazing. Normally would expect that type of experience in New York or Chicago. Highly recommend it!
Sat outdoors had a live band playing. Beautiful outside patio, food was just right portion. Great evening over all.
Beautiful patio and lovely food.
Overall pretty good. We had the pecan crusted walleye and seafood pasta and were both happy with how it came out. We felt like the service was a little slow especially considering it didn’t seem super busy. The only other disappointment was that we wrote in our reservation it was our 10 year Anniversary but there was zero acknowledgement from anyone at the restaurant. It was a big celebration and we chose this restaurant for our night out and it would have been nice if they had made it a little extra special for us. So I’m not sure if this is a good place for celebrating special birthdays or anniversaries.
We had a wonderful meal with good friends out on the patio.
We had a delightful experience. Food was tasty, the service excellent and we were not rushed. Definitely a return visit will be planned.
Ate inside by choice. Great friendly waitress (sadly, I forget her name). Unique room, former funeral home, looks like the inside of a small church. Very tasty, spicy Jambalaya for me; wife really liked her salmon salad. Mini-deserts were perfect size: my chocolate pudding was great; minor kitchen mistake resulted in sister getting vanilla pudding instead of key lime pie, corrected immediately by waitress (they look the same). All agreed that experience was an excellent value. Nice Oregon pinot noir. Eight thumbs up!
A terrific choice in a remarkable space. Have known the managing partner of Ivy for many years and the restaurant is always the best. From the casual crowd in the bar area to the main restaurant floor layout everything is top drawer. I recommend Ivy highly as one of my top five restaurants of all time. Our table ordered filet, two fish entrees and one pasta dish. All superlative and our server was knowledgeable and attentive.
Cool building, food was great, drinks were sub par.
Service was impeccable and food was delicious presented beautifully. Decor was warm rustic and inviting
We had the heart healthy fish and lean pork chops. Both were perfectly prepared. You need to try this place. It is beautiful inside, the owner will greet you with a 🌽 joke and the wait staff will leave you in wonder of their fine service. If you are disabled they have an elevator to get you to the 2nd floor.
Prices are getting out of hand
It must have been a bad night. Usually it's pretty good. Service was slow and inattentive. The patio was overcrowded with tables, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Our food was good as usual.
Love meeting friends at IVY for drinks or dinner. The restaurant space is beautiful, the menu is well curated and the service is always flawless. A special shout out from my most recent visit to Tony in the bar. His attention to detail, name recollection, etc made us feel all the more welcome.
Free dessert for our anniversary was nice. Love the outdoor patio!
Awesome food! We’ll be back soon!
We HAD to return to Ivy after our first visit ever with our party of 18. This time it was just hubby n me. We had the time and space to thoroughly enjoy the ambiance, cocktails, pre-dinner charcuterie tray, entrees and finally coffee with an amazing dessert selection.
Very crowded Memorial Day dinner..KItchen and bar were backed up waited a long time for food and beverages...
I would have rated Ivy a 5-Star if we had been seated differently. The food was excellent, the bar service was top notch and the wait staff was experienced and professional. On the other hand, there was a fair amount of room in the restaurant, yet the 4 of us got seated between 2 tables of 8, and each of those tables had 2 or 3 kids that were loud/crying on & off. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, but not when I'm dining on a Saturday night. I would have preferred a bit more quiet.
Food was good but the service was absolutely glacial.
The restaurant was beautiful inside! A romantic place for a date night!
The apple stuffed chicken was amazing however their jambalaya was meh.
Our party had the Walleye, house salads and the moist Krombacher chicken. The food was very good. Served piping hot and well seasoned. Try this place and you will enjoy it.
This is a great restaurant for a leisurely lunch with a friend. Enjoyed our entrees and service was excellent.
Such a cool place and setting. It’s an old church ,built in 1928
So instead of pews you have dining tables !
The food is delicious , steaks , beer can chicken all excellent .
Oh and also the menu is illuminated , so no using your cell phone to read a menu .
all restaurants should do that!!’
The menu has changed- and some items like the double hoisen pork chops are gone, new pork chops are about 1/2 the size and not any where as good. Most changes are not upgrades- food was good but used to be great
Good good and service for the price. Heavy handed pours on the wine a nice plus. Pretty difficult to have a conversation due to the acoustics in the main room, but very cool space. About $60/ea with wine by the glass.
The Ivy has become my go-to for business meetings, but my wife is a huge fan of the BBQ Ribs. I was there Thursday night for a dinner meeting and ordered the bone-in rib-eye, MY personal favorite. The owner, Dick, who likes to stop and greet every table, suggested I bring my wife back on Friday night for their prime rib, which they only serve on Fridays, so I did. We are personal fans of J. Alexander's prime rib, but after the first bite of the prime rib at The Ivy, she and I both became fans. On occasion, The Ivy has Cream of Onion as their soup of the day. This soup is to die for. It has the consistency of a bisque with a full onion flavor, but not a pice of onion anywhere. Just a beautiful, creamy soup. I had to order a second soup to go, which reheated the next day beautifully.
The Ivy has become our favorite restaurant, hands down. The owner is great. The wait staff is superb. All professional but never uptight. There is clearly a level of trust between the management and the servers that give The Ivy a "family" vibe. The chef is very creative.
The Ivy is Wheaton's hidden gem. Housed inside a chapel-like former funeral home, the ambiance is nothing short of European.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough.
We always enjoy the atmosphere in Ivy. The service is impeccable and Dick the owner makes everyone feel welcome. The food is also excellent. Erin, our server, was very friendly and attentive!
My wife and I went this past weekend. Specifically for the grouper and it was well worth the visit. We also had the beet salad which was wonderful. I will be coming back again for the exceptional food and service.
Beautiful dining room and food is delicious. Chopped salad always a favorite and our waiter, Mark, was very attentive even with a very busy lunch hour crowd.
Met two friends for dinner and had a nice booth/chair combo. Noise level was not too bad even though restaurant ws at least 1/2 full on a Monday night. You could definitely have a nice conversation. We all loved the backlit menus - super cool! delicious food, so we decided to go for dessert as well. Also great. When I returned home I realized I had lost a bracelet but not sure where. I was lucky that they were holding it at the desk for me. Will for sure be dining at Ivy again!
The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Our waitress made our graduation celebration for our daughter extra special. Thank you for helping us celebrate!
This place is always treat for special occasions. We never get tired using Ivy as our “go to “ restaurant for fine dining. The food and service are top notch.
Ivy is becoming a favorite. Easy access from the parking garage or use the valet service. Great variety selection on the menu plus specials. The staff is friendly and eager to serve.
