We got seated quickly and our server was friendly, efficient and the order was accurate. The food was great. I had the honey sesame stir fry which was really yummy and my friend had the chicken fingers which are always awesome. The location was convenient and I would come here again.
Song was great!!
Server could have cleared our plates. There were still plates on the table when we left
Watched the Super Bowl. The team at Jack Astor’s hosted a really good viewing of the event. I’m now a fan of Jack Astor’s :)
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had, and we eat out a lot. We had made a reservation but still wait almost 25 minutes to be seated. It only went downhill from here.
It took almost 20 minutes to get drinks, and it was only when one of the managers came to our table and asked if we had ordered yet. It was not just us, there were three other tables around us that had not received their drinks either.
The food took almost an hour from the time we ordered... only to have the fish and chips totally cold and it had definitely been sitting waiting to be delivered to the table.... not sure if our waiter was new but it was a horrible experience. We told the waiter that we were not happy with meal, he advised that I had to tell the manger, which we did... It took 25 minutes for the meal to be remade.... needless to say, my husband had finished his dinner by the time my new meal arrived. The second time, the mash potatoes that I had asked for with my fish instead of French fries were cold same as the first time....what a disaster.....
I emailed the manager and she was not very receptive and advised that she was working and was aware of issues in the kitchen...
The manager should have had the staff who were busing tables help with the back log of the wait staff and drinks, or help in kitchen.....
Other customers were talking in bathroom about poor service, poor food and their experience.. Glad I was not alone
Our server was really nice and the food came out really speedy! Jack Astors is always my go-to for a fun dinner out!
It took 20 minutes and two visits to the host station to finally get a waiter to the table after being sat, while everyone around us got served. Otherwise the food was good.
Even though I made reservations for 8 ppl two hours before the reso they tried to seat us at the lounge. What's the point of using OpenTable if the restaurants don't actually reserve the table.
We had to ask for cutlery several times and as well for our drinks and part of our meals that were missing.
I would suggest calling if you need a reservation, I used OpenTable to reserve a table for 6, when we got there they had note of my reservation but did not actually reserve a table, we ended up only having to wait about 10 minutes but we were seated in the bar where it was pretty noisy.
Great food and company
Our server (Charm) is a fantastic server! She’s a people person and loves what she does!
We weren’t celebrating a special occasion, just a fun girls night out. The staff was great and was patient waiting for all 7 of us to arrive. Our waitress was attentive to our needs & The food was great . I ordered a steak and it was cooked perfectly !!!
We love Jack Astor’s ! We come here often for our girls nights and it never disappoints. Even while we made reservations online a few days before someone kindly called the day of to make sure we were still to arrive on time , if there were any children or anything specifically needed seat requirement wise .
Highly recommend !
The food was great
Great food great ambience. Can never go wrong with Jack astors.
Our server was awesome.
Chicken in nachos was not fresh, rest was good.
Unfortunately, I couldn't recommend Jack Astors. I was brought the wrong meal. Coffee was charged at $4.00! That's just crazy!
Horrible flat soft drinks, food was ok. Service was at par
Server was great! Very attentive. Guacamole was not very good. Very loose and had a strange texture.
Mike, our server, was great, very personable
Great dining experience.
Service was 5 star. Most of the food was excellent.
Except for the Asiago bow tie pasta with chicken.
The taste was way off than usual as this is a regular meal I have.
The only reason for the 1 star overall is that Jack Astor’s always indicates to Open Table that I missed my reservation and then I have to let open table know that I didn’t miss my reservation. Very annoying.
Can’t go wrong at this Jack Astor’s. it’s the go to place for our family where there is something for everyone. Staff is always friendly and food is always good.
We got to Jack Astor’s fairly often. Food had always been good, service is always friendly. Love that I can make reservations
Same as any other Jack Astor's. This one was well staffed, and the TVs everywhere made it fun, especially because there was a playoffs game on.
We had a great dinner here. Lashes was a great server - very attentive! Food was great!
Service was outstanding
We would surely go to this location again
Love this location! My boyfriend & I were celebrating our anniversary and we’re glad we chose to celebrate it here. Food was deliciously amazing and came super fast.. and it was a Friday!! Our server’s name was Niffy and she gave us an exceptional experience and great service! Will definitely be returning to this location.
My husband ordered soup which never arrived, the server took his glass away before he finished his drink, other server tried to take my wine glass away even though we had ordered a bottle and the bottle was still on the table. When we got home, I picked up a voice mail message that we didn't show up for our reservations (booked on-line and I did tell them at the desk we had reservations). I know it was busy night but I think we'll wait awhile before we go back.
The chicken fajitas were amazing as another jack astors that me and my mother go to give us less chicken so I appreciate the abundance of chicken served. My mother loves your fajita bowl but her only complaint was the spiciness of it. Otherwise it was amazing as always. Markus was an amazing waiter will definite go back to this jack Astor’s over the other one. THANKS
The food was good and the service was OK. To me it seemed that they scrimped on the food, as we ordered fajitas for two, and there wasn't enough of the main course to make 8 fajitas with.
Took my family for a Friday night dinner out and had a migraine by the end of it. Far to stimulating with the constant images that are shown on the tv screens, but wasn’t a tv show or sports game. Level of noise and conversation rose by the minute until I left with a migraine. Lively, loud atmosphere. Difficult to converse with your table due to the noise
Walked into a no more than 25% capacity to wait for a table. We were seated to a “ready” table with no high chair, as requested, no cutlery, menus or side plates.
Server took drink orders and apologized for delay as they are short staffed. 30% of kids items were out of stock, had to walk over to the Starbucks to get them chocolate milk. Appetizers came out warm at best with mains arriving completely separate with some wrong items. First persons main was near done before last persons main arrived. We cleared our own plates to the empty table next to us, not once did a manager walk over to either ask about experience or apologize for outcome.Paid bill in full as I don’t believe an over worked staff should be penalized for the terrible organization and management. Asked to speak to manager, Jennifer Comeau, and after raising concerns mentioned above, Jennifer simply thanked me for my feedback. No ask of how to make the experience better and certainly no next time visit offer. Customer retention was simply not present.
We visit Sircorp brand restaurants often, Scaddabush being most frequent followed by Jack Astor’s but this location will certainly not be re visited.
This place sucks. Mediocrity at its finest. Loud obnoxious setting with screens everywhere. Food is bland and uninspired. Prices are high for the drek being served. Highlight is leaving and getting a sucker, which is what you are if you dine here. Never again.
Yes, however, they need
To get their reservations in order. We made a reservation and when we got in they didn’t even have it .. I had my confirmation however, and they did accommodate regardless.
The service was amazing this time!! Our waitress was one of the best I have ever had and the food was great! If they keep this up I will be sure to visit more often.
Is one of my favourite restaurants which we frequent visit with just as couples, with our kids & friends.
This is my home restaurant, ❤️❤️❤️
We had a reservation and were there for 6:30, however did not get seated until 6:55pm. This was discouraging since we had a reservation and people were getting seated before us. I checked in again and was given an explanation around Open Table reservations which I don’t fully understand. A reservation is a reservation, or so I thought. However, to make it up for our inconvenience, nice we were finally seated, Jennifer, the manager gave us a free appetizer. A great way to handle the disappointing situation. After that service and food were great.
We took our kids ages 8 and 5 and I have to say the staff were amazing to our kids, the immediately offered the boys barrel of donkey game, crayons etc and made them both feel extra special. Our server Claudia was so pleasant and def gave us her undivided attention esp on a busy Saturday night. The kids meals cams out right away while my husband and I enjoyed our drinks and then while we had dinner the kids had their desserts- banana splits which in my opinion where too large, they could have shared one I think. The kitchen did run out of brownies for dessert for us and it was only 8:30pm but honestly the actual dinner was super good. My steak was cooked to perfection and my husband had the famous buffalo chicken fingers which were equally as good.
All in all for a local place close to home and super kid friendly we will definitely be back again, the atmosphere for a Saturday night was really good!
$20 salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce, few strawberries, minimal chicken and too much dressing.
