Food was just ok.
We had the breakfast buffet. It was ok. A few pieces of french toast were not cooked all the way. There was plenty of other things tho. It was ok.
We had tickets to see a show at Pheasant Run. We thought it would be convenient to dine there before the show. We would not return to Jambalaya nor recommend it. The service was poor, the food was just okay, very disappointing experience. The restaurant decor and furniture is extremely plain. If you're looking for a Cajun experience go elsewhere as you won't find it here. For a Friday night it was mostly empty.
It was awful service, awful food and it was like we were In a cafeteria.
Pam is an outstanding server. She made my mom and I feel really special. She is a credit to your business.
Tucked in the Pheasant Run. Nice spot if you're on a weekend get-away! Food was very good. We had the jambalaya (of course) and also sampled a small gumbo. Both were tasty with a little kick - not over the top spicy. We also took advantage of the all you can eat ribs which were just "so-so". Service was excellent!!! Drinks were generous and well put together... can you say Hurricane!
Back of chairs were ripped, seats were stained and worn out, the place was in terrible shape. I didn’t eat anything at the restaurant, my husband ordered a daily special that was small and just mediocre. After we left the restaurant, on the way to the show we were going to at the main stage, we walked through connected Pheasant Run hallways and we saw a display window with mold, paint hanging in sheets from the ceiling and curtains torn. Pheasant Run used to be a great place to go to with great restaurants, it’s really under poor management now. We will not be going back and do not recommend. It’s a shame they let it go so badly.
Good food, awesome service! We went there because Pheasant Run emailed about having a Mardi Gras party. We've dined at Jambalayas before and it is usually a great time. This time was no exception. Fun!
The gumbo man- come on, the name of the place is Jambalaya and it's right off of "Bourbon Street," you'd think the gumbo would be halfway decent. I'm currently eating gumbo from a hospital cafeteria and it's better than what I got at Jambalaya. the gumbo from Jambalaya musta been bottom of the barrel it was rice, dark broth and green peppers. I did find two baby shrimps and a maybe one piece of chicken and one sausage. The wings were good, but skip the gumbo.
Walked in for our 730 reservation at 725 waited in line in front for 25 minutes....no host..no employees acknowledgment...everyone in line was waiting. Did not want to wait any longer we left.
There was no hostess to greet you. Our group just stood there while staff ignored us. Had to force a server to show us a table. (half the tables were empty). This was for breakfast. For dinner we also had reservations. There was a line out the door where people did not know what was going on. We stood with people with and without reservations. They were not taking names. They had the hostess cleaning tables with no one telling people what was going on. Had to go to the front of very to say we had reservations. Thought things were slow once we sat down.
Went on a package deal with the Pheasant Run resort. Breakfast Buffet included. Worst Buffet I ever encountered. Items consisted of fruit, yogurt ,muffins, runny powered eggs, underdone sausage links, bacon , cold mushy hash brown potatoes and cold wedges of french toast. That was it, all the items available. This was very unpleasant and for the $13.95 it would have been an incredibly over priced selection but we had no choice with the package. I do not recommend this selection to anyone. I can not speak about the other breakfast selections as from what I saw most people were on the special "pink ticket". Too bad we should have had the option of ordering from the menu up to the $13.95 value.
An average hotel restaurant with a limited menu. The New Orleans theme make the restaurant interesting
Very odd restaurant - not many customers. Definitely could use a remodel. Food was ok.
Good for a quiet night out however, their menu has changed quite a bit since the last time we were here. The food was good but because of the minimal variety we probably will not return.
The service was exceptional. I believe our waiters name was Rob.
The actual menu wasn’t even close to the one that is posted. Very disappointing, but the staff is nice.
Crew was nice, food was great for the price, wish they would put more New Orleans type decor around the place as it’s a Creole restaurant.
Server was new but tried to do a good job, only a couple minor errors, he was very pleasant. Manager was attentive to us and other guests. Nice experience but a little dated. Food was tasty. We would go to this place again
Saturday night All you can eat ribs. Great value and good food. The bread pudding was great! Outstanding service too!
I had the all-you-can-eat ribs buffet and my wife had the haddock fish and chips. The food was very good and was reasonably priced. The only complaints I have is that the buffet food was not hot and they were not quick in replacing the empty trays. A couple of times I had to wait while they brought out the tray.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Our waitress was extremely rude and the noise level did not help our communication. Service was slow. Food was okay. Not sure if I'd go back.
We went for the Saturday Rib Fest and were very happy with the food quality, temperature and flavor! Outstanding value! We'll be back!
This is inside the Pheasant Run Resort and one of the few restaurants left within it.
The entire resort is definitely in need of a make-over including this establishment.
When we sat down, we noticed that the tables and chairs look like they're from circa 1987.
Not a good sign so far....
We were there for the Sunday breakfast buffet and although the food was decent, it certainly wasn't worthy of what we ended up paying between the two of us.
Service was also not the best as they only had 1-2 waitresses present and they were obviously having a difficult time keeping up.
Along with the other patrons, we took it upon ourselves to go to the bar area and refill our own coffees. Overall, not the best experience but the food is decent and they do have a chef present alongside the omelette station.
I enjoyed the food. We had the all you can eat fish fry this time. Did not need a refill. Food was delivered really fast, I was just sitting down with my salad when it came. Staff was polite and attentive.
We sat down at 7 and didn't have water or drinks until 7:35. Even when we complained it didn't seem that important to anyone. Our server was apologetic but even after that the kids food took forever to come out. First and last time eating here. The food itself was average.
I've been here before during a weekend night and the atmosphere was really fun. Food is OK, but a bit overpriced, in my opinion.
5th time I have dined at Jambalaya. Restaurant is in same venue as history show I attended. Food is very good, especially the namesake jambalaya. However, service is worst of any restaurant I have gone to in my entire life. Consistently end up at a table in no-man's land where I need to find a manger to get any service. Repeatedly had to ask for silverware and hot sauce. This is typical for any of the times I have been there.
Waitress was verry busy did not come back for long time
Came here on a mother/son "date" and I think I'm going to have to come back for a real date with my girlfriend. Great place to eat, nice people, and good food. Very accomadating. Ask for Lisa! Reservation recommended.
Very good Cajun/Creole food. Excellent atmosphere ANF very good service from our newbie waitress. I believe her name is Jamie.
Truly great staff, food service was quick. Went on All YouCan Eat rib night (Sat), and the ribs were tender in some places and a little chewy in others, but overall a good value for the money. They just need a little more sauce. The bench seat in our booth was really worn out, but overall the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice enough. We had fun afterwards on Bourbon Street- went next door for ice cream and then to the arcade, but there's also an escape room, comedy club and other things to do here. I would recommend.
We had a great dinner, especially because we had our wedding at pheasant run this past summer! The food was delicious and the service was great!
The ribs for the "all you can eat" were very good. The meat just fell off the bone.
Had a great experience last year and tried again. This visit was opposite from last year. Service was not that good, food was not good and manager was standing talking to him one table only for about a half hour. Will find someplace to go to next year.
Very nice meal, great service, and quiet atmosphere. First time visit and we enjoyed it!
Not impressed with the food or the setting. Service was good.. maybe if we had been there a different time for live music it would have been better....
Disappointing in food quality. Needs some redecorating.
Service was ok but food was horrible and we spent two days to digest it.
The waitress, Isabella, was very attentive to our table for the full evening.
