Always a great time, fantastic food (almost everything can be made gluten free🙌!) and wonderful service!!
Juniper's is usually superb, but on a quiet Thursday night recently the mixed vegetables were greatly undercooked, the salmon was slightly undercooked, the wild rice was not pleasantly chewy but hard, and the water for tea was not hot. I seemed that the cook was in a big hurry, even though there were only half a dozen patrons in the restaurant. I'll come again, and hope the food is back to the usual standard.
The bartender both nights who then waited on us the second night was fairly rude and off-putting but everything else was great!!!
Best food around!
Excellent from top to bottom. Great Food, Great Wait staff , Great Atmosphere 👍
Also Gluten Free 👍
Weekend away -spent in Vermont-from CT
Always a great date spot! The food is amazing and the service is outstanding!
Delicious and cozy. Great food and great service. The Brussels Sprout salad is amazing.
Great people and good food.
Absolutely wonderful experience. The food, service and atmosphere was great. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. This is a must stop if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed. This is our favorite place to dine.
I would certainly recommend Junipers to a friend. The outside setting is beautiful, the service is personal, clean and attentive. The nourishing food is the right amount, healthy and delicious. The background music is relaxing. My only problem is that I don't eat there more often!
I have enjoyed meals here in the past but this one was disappointing. For $65 pre fixe we hoped for a better experience. My sea bass dish was good. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp were overcooked, cold, and dry like they had been sitting out for a while. My boyfriends prime rib was very chewy. The waitress was ok but didn’t check in on how anything was until the very end. The desserts were mediocre and since they weren’t listed on the menu we didn’t know what they were until we asked. I hope they improve on their pre fixe meals in the future as I do normally enjoy junipers.
Holiday with Family
Food was delicious, service was attentive and accommodating, cocktails were creative and beer selection was varied. Great ending to a day of biking!
Excellent service, delicious great quality food, I would highly recommend this restaurant!
What a wonderful dinner we had... such a treat to eat yummy food in a lovely location with fantastic service... really a special evening. We live only 20 minutes away, so we'll be back! Thank you.
Our waitress and service was great, but 3 people had ribeye steaks that were very chewy and tough to eat. The drinks were small for a large price. The ambiance and food in general were decent and it is a beautiful place and setting, but going to a new restaurant every month in the area, our group found it average when we had extremely high expectations. We can be a tough group to please though and really appreciate a lovely evening! I would most definitely recommend it to others!
My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary at Juniper's. I had the hanger steak and she had the Spring schnitzel. The food was simply outstanding. Grilled asparagus, and roasted (local) potatoes were superb. Topped off with great coffee and maple cream pie ( this is Vermont after all). Selection of beers on tap was impressive. And the view is as they say...priceless.
Juniper's is our go-to restaurant, just the two of us or as a family. Never disappointed.
Excellent fresh food. It is a bit expensive, but good portion size for the price.
Excellant food and imaginative menu. Great breakfasts too.
It was nice to have a seat with little notice but it felt as tho we were eating in a hallway. Since it was our first time, we have learned that the ambiance at your place is worth planning more in advance.
Our dinner was so delicious and we had very good service. The desserts were out of this world! We celebrated our anniversary there and it was perfect!
Honey infused local butter on their fresh bread is the first hint that this will be great food.
We had Mussels and they were excellent
Fillet was cooked perfect, I said rare as you dare, and it was.
Had higher expectations but still worth the visit and will return.
Menu looked adventurous on paper but not so much at prepared level.
Service was a bit off and lack of knowledge on the bourbon and scotch selection was weak.
We had a wonderful dinner at the Juniper Inn, with a perfect view of the sunset. As someone with celiacs disease I was very pleased at the many gluten free options, I had GF bread served before my meal, all the desserts were GF and even more impressive they keep their fryer gluten free as well. My biggest complaint was the noise volume in the sunroom area where we were seated. We had easily the best view of the sunset, but could barley speak to each other because of how many groups of people were talking to each other in such a small space.
Always a great meal. Having Celiac, I almost never get to have a dessert but at Junipers that doesn’t happen!!
The folks at Juniper's are so earnest & dedicated & kind. I spent several days at the Wildflower Inn for the Ladies AllRide mountain bike retreat, and I was able to enjoy breakfast & dinner at Junipers multiple times (plus a beer at the pub). Everything was fresh, mostly locally sourced, & delicious! I particularly enjoyed the beer & burger night--what a great deal and the burger was superb. Not to mention the beautiful view out the back windows and the amazing gardens surrounding the Inn...I can't wait to return.
Great food, atmosphere, service and extraordinary view!
Beautiful views especially from the back deck! Terrific service. Food is good but a bit pricey.
The food was yummy. The starter was terrific. We shared a dessert that was so good. We will come again next year to celebrate our anniversary.
The salmon was better than expected and my husbands cordenbleu was great.
We had a great waiter, he took very good care of us and went the extra mile to try to use a gift card that did not ultimately work at this restaurant but worked the next day at another one.
We love the view and always make a point to go to Juniper's when we're in the area!
We have eaten here several times. The food is always outstanding and so is the service. Beautiful setting in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Amazing views from the restaurant.
We went here for an early dinner on a Friday evening and sat outside. It was absolutely perfect. The view was spectacular, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes, which were larger than I expected. We ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer and it could have been our entire meal! The other dishes we ordered were very well-seasoned, presented nicely and everything came out quickly. I can’t wait to go back!!
Its about 15 minutes from where we live but it is worth the drive. The area is beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. Both the food and service were very good.
This place is a hidden gem. Amazing food that tastes extremely fresh and an amazing view. The staff are friendly and attentive. We never order appetizers or desserts, but splurged on both while here, and everything we ate was amazing.
Had a wonderful supper on the evening of our 60th anniversary. Will return!
If I could give it zero stars I would. Food was, at best, mediocre and service was beyond terrible.
Tuna excessively spiced. Rest OK. Crime brûlée runny and ok but I prefer congealed.
