Kiki's food is always excellent. Fresh and tasty. The wine list is fantastic. The service is beyond excellent. If you haven't tried the gem of a restaurant, you need to.
Kiki’s never disappoints. Excellent food and great atmosphere. Their duck is my favorite.
Kiki still offers a wonderful, simple bistro menu with the great food to back it up. And the bartender to match with the martini's.
We both had the prix fix and because of that, I had desert. A rarity for me. The Mouse Chocolat was wonderful. Interesting presentation and so good I didn't share with my wife.
I recommend Kiki's to all of our friends.
Delicious all around, from Escargot to Calfs liver and onions, for mom and my Trout almondine outstanding. Portion sizes were large and plentiful. As usual the ambience is perfect. Old world classic french dining.
We eat at Kiki's periodically, and this was another excellent experience - good food and excellent service. They were more quiet than usual as the date was 09 Mar 2020 - right before the order came down to shut all restaurants in Chicago.
Super solid food, warm cozy atmosphere, didn’t skip a beat on service
Kiki's Bistro is great! We will recommend it to friends and family.
Returned to Kiki's after too long away. Such a delightful, authentic and warm venue, with outstanding menu options. Quality is consistent and excellent, and the wine list is expansive and very reasonably priced.
Always good food and service and not too noisy. I tend to order the Dover Sole but my friend had the Skate wing and it was perhaps even more delicious!
sWe had a very enjoyable time. The food was very good, items that you rarely see on a menu anymore. Each was excellently prepared. Our wait person did a very fine job.
Go for the ambience. Warm, cozy, romantic if tha is what you are going for. The cassoulet is overrated. The beet salad was pedestrian. But despite that, it was a most enjoyable evening.
Everything thing was perfect, as usual! Went on a Saturday night which was extremely busy but good and service still was at Kiki's high standards. (Had the creme brulee for desert and it was the best we've ever had!)
Exceeded expectations. After reading some of the less than perfect reviews we were pleasantly surprised. I had the frog leg appetizer (don't get that at home), the steak pomme frites and the bread pudding dessert. All were excellent. Wife had the salmon du jour that was cooked just the way she likes it, well done (ugh!). Can't understand a negative review of the pomme frites, they were just like they should be.
My only complaint is that they tried to seat us next to the bathrooms even though at 6 pm the place was less than half full. However, when I objected we were given a very nice corner table.
We have added Kiki's to our list of neighborhood favorites.
Kiki’s is consistently good. The duck is outstanding and the salmon was one of the best preparations I have ever had. It is a hidden gem in Chicago.
Kiki’s is an old school French Bistro with outstanding food. It’s a traditional menu and it’s done very, very well. Nice wine and comfortable atmosphere. Free valet parking too
the very finest, authentic French bistro meal in Chicago.
A Classic! Love it ! Always perfect ! Service was absolutely fantastic!
Always wonderful. We love Kiki’s.
It pains me to write this review. Kiki's Bistro has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. We always recommend it to people as a hidden gem, and I actually just included it on a list of restaurants you must eat at when you visit Chicago. However, our visit on Valentine's Day was extremely disappointing. Our waitress (short gray hair and glasses) was downright rude and rushed us throughout the entire meal. Half of my food arrived cold. And we were seated right in the walkway, so servers kept hitting my arm and my husband's arm while they raced past. I even had my fork knocked out of my hand because I was bumped so hard. If this had been our first visit, we would never return. So disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants let us down so badly.
The one highlight was the lady working the coat check. She was warm, gracious, and showed the kind hospitality I normally expect from a visit at Kiki's.
Food and service was outstanding!
Cozy intimate atmosphere.
Just great! Our go to place for pre-theater dining. Didn’t realize
Wonderful evening of food, wine and romance
We went for a pre Valentines dinner. Excellent service and ambiance. The food was as good as I remembered it from prior visits. We will be back.
Always delicious always intimate and easy. Great for dates. Older crowd.
I have been lucky enough to have visited France a few times and Kiki’s brings me back there! He and his wife are wonderful hosts and the food and wine choices are outstanding. Kiki’s is a true treasure!
Kiki's Bistro is one of our absolute favorites. The food and service are great, and the ambience is cozy French bistro. We love this classic French restaurant, and visit it often. We have never been disappointed!
Excellent menu and wine list. Kiki is a real person...and will often show you to your table. This is place where one should plan on a 2 to 3 hour experience. Don't be in a rush and you may find a very special memory.
Love the food, love the people, simply a wonderful place to dine.
We hadn't been to Kiki's in a while. The food is very good. My friend had the Dover Sole and pronounced it delicious. I had the roasted chicken from the prix fie menu. It
was excellent and more than I could eat, perhaps because it came with exceptional pomme frites! The lemon tart desert was perfect! I could have eaten a little more salad
that the starter contained. (Go figure).
They were not crowded on a Thursday evening so it was quiet and cozy. The tables are close enough that it could be quite loud if full.
Service was terrific and they have valet parking. We will definitely be back.
Pleasant restaurant with good food and service, but not outstanding.
Many items are overpriced considering the quality.
always a consistent , with great food and warm hospitality. Kiki is still running it too and is as friendly as always.
Lovely restaurant for a family celebration! Kiki's is always great.
Kiki’s never fails to please. Charming atmosphere, classic French menu, good wine list, caring service, good prices.
Great service, great crowd, great food. A little loud, but that doesn't seem to deter the older crowd.
So we've been to Kiki's many times and normally the experience is excellent. The food was great as usual but the service was really disappointing. It started almost from the moment we sat down. We received menus, but not the wine list. We realized that there was a 3 course prix fixe menu that had exactly what we would order available until 6:30pm. When we tried to confirm with our waiter that this would be ok (we sat down at 6:25) he said no it was 7:30! When we pointed out that it wasn't quite 6:30 actually; he said they were busier than usual so maybe that is why he was confused on the time.
He did later bring a wine list and after I ordered a bottle listed for $85 in the menu . After leaving our table for a bit our waiter came back telling us it was actual $90 (not a big deal if this were the only thing that went wrong). We ordered all 3 courses (as part of the prix fixe menu) and waited for our food. The food was excellent as always. After our main course our waiter brought dessert menus (weird?). We ordered the same desserts, again mentioning that as well. After dinner I order a coffee too. The first cup was fine, when I asked for a refill it was completely cold. My wife pointed this out to our waiter, he did bring a fresh cup, but there wasn't even so much as an apology.
Finally when the check came our desserts were on there in addition to the prix fixe charges. Again we pointed this out to our waiter and it was fixed but again without any attempt at an apology.
So it may have been just a bad night for our waiter but it was an unusual experience for us.
Kiki’s is fantastic! Oysters, salad lyonnaise, steak frites, duck (oh the duck!) are just a few of the great menu items. I will be back very soon.it is a must in Chicago dining!
