We go to Kyoto Palace for my birthday and son’s. When Covid hit, we couldn’t celebrate our birthdays which was a major bummer!

Our main server seemed distant, busy and preoccupied, however, our at-table chef was entertaining and enjoyable. Food was outstanding and priced well.
The steak was very tender and flavorful, but the fried rice was not the same at $3.50 extra. It was kind of dry and the chicken was cubed very small and I could tell it had been there for a while. There was not that good fresh flavor. That's the main reason we went there too.
Had a great nice out during the pandemic. Food was great and was nice eating outdoors but would have loved some kind of heating outside like some restaurants have done but other than that it was great!

I made a reservation for Kyoto’s on Valentine’s Day. We were excited since it had 4.5 stars, we arrived on time and were seated. Service was slow from the beginning on throughout our date. Our orders came out incorrect, late, and we had dirty silverware and plates. We get it, it happens but when you’re a 4.5 star restaurant you get dinged on that. We told all these things to our waitress and all we got was attitude and pushback. The best apart of this experience was the fried rice and that was about it. I expect a lot more for $50 plates, they try to copy Benihana’s but they have a long way to go. If Benihana was open in the area I would’ve went there instead. I’m sure this isn’t the best showing for your restaurant but I am honestly disappointed. I like spending good money on good food and service but we walked out of there feeling like we got robbed. We didn’t have a good experience at all.
It was during pandemic. We were not allowed to eat outside seating even open table booked. At least the take out food worked fine for us, there was not much the restaurant could help on the seating. The food was fine, we ate it in the car, not a full Kyoto experience, but not a disappointment either.
Maybe its because of Covid, but the servers seemed annoyed to be there and it showed. Also the filet I ordered was overcooked and chewy

We love going to Kyoto Palace because the food is the best and the service is wonderful. They take care of us. The best Japanese restaurant in town.
It was my daughter’s birthday. The new ‘Covid’ configuration has dining tables on the patio right next to the bar high tops. Families with children are sitting next to the loud and drunk happy hour crowd. Not a good mix.
When I asked the manager to ask them to stop yelling and refrain from using foul language she offered to move us - we were just waiting for my daughter’s ice cream and the check. She clearly didn’t want to ask them to quiet down and be respectful of the many families sitting near by. We got our check, paid online and went to Tin Pot Creamery to get ice cream instead. This is usually a fun place.
Do yourself a favor and wait until indoor dining is allowed again. Without the tableside preparation the food seemed like it was cooked en mass and just served up from a chaffing dish.
We haven't been out at all in 6 months, what an amazing lunch it was. We ordered a bit of everything and still have leftovers! The food was fantastic, to portion sizes were huge. Our waiter/host was very friendly and helpful. We will be back soon!!!
Delicious hibachi bowl, chicken was not too salty nor sweet, veggies done just right!

We are sorry to hear of your dining experience with us. Our food has never been pre-cooked. Our chefs have always and continue to cook raw ingredients regardless of a show. If you are unhappy with your meal, please let us know and we would love to fix the problem. As many restaurants are trying to survive and cope with a new dining unfamiliar to us, false accusations of pre-cooked is harmful. We take consideration of the music. Our first family dining out experience during shelter in place was very good! Surprised at the number of people out and waiting in line at Kyoto Palace. The restaurant did a great job placing outdoor dining, servicing and the entire experience was as stress free as can be given the current situation. The food was as good and possibly better because for some members of our party (lighter eater) can enjoy all the items at same time. In the past, eating as you go means by the time the last item is served, one might be full so not able to eat the last item(s).

We had a great meal! We ordered so many different things to all share. We had several sushi orders and sashimi. Also potstickers and rice and tempura batted veggies and also coconut shrimps. Everything was very good. Our waitress was great. Very attentive. The table was cleaned up non stop. Another surprise came from our waitress when she brought out a cheesecake for my son who was 19 that day. Such a nice gesture. I would definitely go here again. So nice to be outside dining!

Felt hurried, like they wanted to turn tables as quickly as possible, which is fine for them but not for us as Customers. There to enjoy time with our friends.

From the moment we arrived, we were seated and cared for. The entire staff was professional and very kind. We were three generations sitting together and everything from our drink order, to extra waters, to appetizers, salads, rice, steaks and ice cream arrived hot and ready to eat. We had plenty of time to visit and eat our meal at a leisurely pace. The food was so delicious!!! Thank you for a wonderful evening and lovely memories. We will be back and are recommending you to all our family and friends.
