La Buona Vita
Penne or Linguine
Marinara or Bolognese sauce
Topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese
The atmosphere is very friendly and charming. The food is out of this world. So delicious. The waiter we had was so friendly and talkative when we asked him something. Also have a great time when we go there.
The food was delicious! I had the pre-fixed menu for restaurant and it gave me a little taste everything.
The wine list was very good and our server was attentive and fun. We would definitely go back.
Great experience and La Buona Vita. The burrata and salads were so fresh and bright tasting. Main course of chicken and vegetables in lemon and caper sauce too, was delicious and portion seemed generous. Would go back and would recommend to others, to give this restaurant a try.
We went for our anniversary. Good food, service, dessert; we will be back!
For the second visit in a row, the kitchen simply couldn’t get the entree’s out of the kitchen in a timely manner. When they did come out, the food was very good!
Food was excellent.
It was quite busy this Saturday night but time from ordering to delivery to table was longer than expected. I believe this is not the fault of waitress but rather delays in the kitchen. Met friends there at a different table who had similar comments. Attentive waitress kept us informed during the delay. Despite this, will go back.
My wife and I will be returning to dine at this fine establishment.
Our meal was delicious. We both had Rotollo Primavera. Our server was attentive.
The kitchen was very slow. Our server was very apologetic and clearly very frustrated. We waited about a half hour for our main course after eating our salads. We noticed that several other tables were waiting as well. At the time the restaurant was about half full.
The wine was a very small pour. The tiramisu portion was small as well. Not sure what was going on with that.
Of course, we will go back. We love La Buona Vita. This was an unusual experience.
The food was over cooked. Wait time for meal was longer then it should have been.
Long one of my favorite restaurants seems to be slipping in food quality.
We had a large group, but the service was less than good. Water refills were never automatic, it took forever for our orders to come out and it was just too long a night. Rather than being there two hours, we were there over three. Having to ask time and again for a wine glass, for water refill and other things, I would think long and hard before going again.
Great service, wonderful food!
Took way too long to get food, and some of the food was cold
ALWAYS delicious!!! Never disappoints. Been coming here for years and the high quality of food and ambiance is always perfect. Glad to have Chef Terry here in La Grange!
Alice, our server, was very friendly, efficient and gracious. Dinner was excellent and we received a yummy, complimentary dessert for my birthday.
We loved our server, Anthony. I had a pasta dish with lobster - the flavor was there but really hard to find the lobster which was way too small.
Everything was delicious. Need to add giardiniere to your condiments.
The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated within a few minutes of our reservation. Service was attentive, although server forgot to bring our salads. Never a word was said. Whitefish was excellent, well cooked and well seasoned. Mussels marinara were good, not fantastic. Pasta was a bit overcooked---sticky. Serving size was ample. Fried calamari appetizer, our measure of a great place, was fine. Not great, but nothing wrong with it. Half-priced bottles of wine on a Friday night was a happy surprise. Will we return? Maybe. Probably not first choice, but solid. The worst thing about the evening was parking---LaGrange is choking itself out with restaurants, even with their multi-story parking garage.
I thought that the tomato sauce was very good. Although one of our party had the ravioli and thought it could have been seasoned up a bit more. The service was great. The restaurant was charming. I would certainly go back again.
The appetizer was overcooked, tough and tired. The wines were not bad. The main meals were fair, but not noteworthy. The desserts were OK.
The service was horrible. It takes forever for a waitress to go to the table. Then they don’t listen. I ordered an appetizer as my meal, and told her! But it came way ahead of everyone else’s. The pasta was Overcooked and cold. The gluten free Alfredo pasta was very good.
What a great little find this restaurant is in LaGrange. Great Food, drinks and outstanding service!
found this place while looking for a dining experience that we all can attend after the zoo lights(food allergies, children, etc). was so impressed came back xmas eve. will be our new favorite place
Our waitress was awesome, quite funny and probably startled as our group of related family members were a tad lively due to one of the guest's 74th birthday. I typically sit at the bar when it's just me and my other half but with 6 people a table was required and we had a great time. Food was good, wine selection good. Their rye based manhattan was perfectly to my liking with the luxardo cherries and all! I will recommend this place to people who are on a first date, a family night or a girls night. It's a lovely quaint restaurant that hasn't disappointed me at all.
Dinner with Santa
Food was great. Service just a little slow, maybe because it was very busy.
Food was good. Service was very good Alice made sure we knew what we were ordering. Checked on use kept our drinks filled . Nice place will probably go back.
Good Italian food in a comfortable neighborhood restaurant.
Good kids and adult menu! We arrived early evening and received our food in a timely fashion. Those with salads raved about the house dressing. Overall, good selection.
Great service and awesome food!
Ask for James. as your waiter. He's unbelievable -- smart and funny. He will lead you to the right think to order. He is one of the few waiters that justify your highest tips!
The service was very good. The food (chicken marsala, red potatoes and lentil soup) was outstanding. Even my leftovers the next day was absolutely delicious. The tiramisu was probably one of the best I have ever had. Looking forward to going back.
Great service, good house wines and numerous menu selections. Baked clams are made somewhere else it seems (have gotten them served ice cold in the past/frozen) but still delicious. Attentive staff and value priced Italian that tastes great.
Had a group of people and everyone's food was ice cold. Someone received a meal they didn't even order. The server was forcing us to leave and taking unfinished drinks off the table. Would never go back
I thought that I was going to get a really great culinary experience but I found the food to be way too much example the sauce around the lasagna was so much that I could've gone home boiled 1/2 box of pasta and used the excess sauce to dress that dish and my rotolo had way too much sauce over the two very large pieces. Both of us had really upset stomach after that evening and would most likely not go back. The salad was very good and the bread was outstanding they has a great wine collection an the service was very friendly.
I put it was a birthday celebration and no one did anything
The food was prepared well. Family members are gluten free and they enjoyed the gluten free pasta. I enjoyed the restaurant as well. It was not noisy and you can enjoy a good conversation.
Alice was our server and she was so attentive to us. Great food and drinks. Thank you for a great night as we celebrated our anniversary!
My wife had the walleye, she thought it was excellent, I had the veal saltibucco, I thought it was overcooked and chewy. Atmosphere and service were both excellent..... we will most likely go back.
Just didn’t like it that much. Just ok. Won’t run back.
