Found a great socially distanced table with some heat to enjoy the yummy food served by a great, patient, friendly waiter Daniel. Very good experience on this last night before restaurants shutdown. Everyone was helpful and food plentiful and perfect. Praying for the service workers to be provided for.

The food and service were excellent. The young, obnoxious group of girls next to us was not. Food was amazing and the social distancing was kept at a proper distance.

Outdoor dining. Staff was attentive. Cool night asked for heater to be turned on. Food and wine was enjoyed by the family.

Thanksgiving Dinner was Amazing!!!
The Butternut squash soup was outstanding, we practically licked the bowl The salad was great ( and I am not a huge fan of salads). The Turkey dinner was also amazing.
I loved the pumpkin pie especially since it came with fresh whipped cream 👍

It was Thanksgiving dinner so the meal was already prepared. The soup was delicious. I wanted both ham and turkey but instead of adding on the cost of the additional meat I had to buy a whole other plate of food... that was a waste. Service was slow considering it wasn’t all that crowded. I think it took a server more than 15min to ask us if we wanted drinks. We will try again when the regular menu is available and write another review.

Excellent Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was moist, the pumpkin pie was delectable, and the yam was full of flavor! The entire meal had the chefs touch. The experience exceeded my expectations.

I was expecting more flavor in the food. Not sure if the outside cold took away some of the flavors.

The outside seating was very well planned. It was made for a wonderful birthday lunch.

We absolutely loved this place. Such great food! And the service was just as wonderful! We sat outside due to Covid, but it was still a great experience with the heaters and being able to people watch as everyone walked through Santana Row. Must try the Salmon. Honestly the smoothest, melt in your mouth Salmon I have had, and they pair it with some wonderful sauce and veggies 😋 also the steak tar tar is fire. Great starter, lots of flavors. And the fettuccine is great, comes with a warm poached egg in top, and the dish itself is so unique with all the different ingredients. We will most definitely be back again soon!

This time the French fries were a bit cold, otherwise, every thing was great. Will keep coming back for more.

In this age of covid, the restaurant still managed to present a nice dinner out experience and the food was as fabulous as always. I have enjoyed the Left Bank first in Menlo Park and then in San Jose for longer than I can remember (which means more than a decade.)

The food was even better than last time and it was quiet inside with the limited seating. We were just so happy! Great service and the manager was so nice. He came by to check on us! We were sure to stop him on the way out and compliment him and his staff!

Very nice family gathering

I came here to have dinner with my friend for her birthday. The ambience was quite amazing, very European feeling. I felt like I was transported to France. The service was friendly and quick. I enjoyed it here and I will likely come back

For sure, the quality of food is going down.
The hamburger bread was not fresh. The french fries seems made from frozen food.
The onion soup was good!
The previous time my Nicoise was poor quality comparing to the previous ones. Veggies were without any taste.
I am aware we are going through the Covid swing but please don't change by decreasing the quality of your foods. We are loving your restaurant and are good clients for many many years.

Outdoor seating is great. There are heaters for when it gets cold. Food is good, the cheese plate is definitely the americanized version (quite small and no smelly cheese), but still good. The only concern is the slowness of the service (I was almost done with my desert when I got my coffee).

Great American versions of some classic French dishes. Eating outside during COVID is still doable but it is getting colder now later in the evening. Yes, they have heating lamps but then one side of me is too hot and the other too cold. Still, great experience

Very nice outdoor dinning with heaters and good service. The food was good and everything was clean and safe.

Food was mediocre... charge $6 for bread which we get for free in any other restaurants. We waited quite a while for the waiter to show up, and he couldn’t wait to give us the bill.

We love our dinners at left bank. We do miss being able to mushrooms on our burger. But nice ambiance and very good food & drinkS!

Birthday dinner.

Disappointed that bread and butter are no longer provided complimentary. The duck could have had a bit more flavor. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.

This was our first time to Left Bank. The food was ok. I was expecting better. For instance, the braised lamp shank was good but the navy beans that came with it was plain. And fries made the dish of steak looked cheap. It’d be better if it came with potato salad or something similar.

It’s always nice to be back! The guy who attended us, Hector were so friendly and helpful! The food were superb especially the trout!

I enjoyed the fondu appetizer, and my mussels were yummy too. My daughter's salmon was good and her boyfriend's duck was tasty. Good Rosé too

I live in the neighborhood and I have been here several times. In a CoVID adapted world where it's much safer to eat outdoors, there are few better places to enjoy a good meal. The restaurant's transition to outdoor dining has been flawless. At times you forget that eating inside used to be the norm. Highly recommend.

We have been there several times. Always a good experience. This was not. Understandably, given the pandemic seating is not great. Asked if we could sit in a more open space and was told no. However a few minutes later others were seated there. Our waiter was not at all friendly. When I asked about the restroom he said ask the front desk. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and I told the waiter. No special treatment or acknowledgment. It was disappointing and did not leave a good impression. I expect more when I spend over $200. We will not be back anytime soon.

Hector was a great waiter and we had a great dinner and time

We had SUCH a delicious meal. I've never been disappointed by any meal I've had at Left Bank, but the consistency remains true. I had the trout almandine (my favorite usual order although I've had many other dishes) it was superb. The flavors with the light touch of caper, green beans cooked just crisp tender, and tomatoes was wonderfully fresh against the richly crisp skinned trout. So good.
Hector was our server, and he couldn't have been nicer. Funny, warm and professional. Our dining area was very nice given all the circumstances, but he made us feel like we were getting the "full service". The front desk check in was also very pleasant. The lady in the red dress and glasses behind the plexiglass was very kind to point out the menu scan code, and get us to our table.
Overall a great experience, and I will look forward to returning again soon.
