Perfect for an anniversary dinner. Food was excellent, the server we had was great. Very enjoyable experience.
The manager and team were great! They were very accommodating when our party of 15 jumped to a party of 24, and they were able to work very quickly with little time! Everything was fresh, everyone was kind, and the service was excellent! We can’t thank them enough for making our experience spectacular!
We enjoy eating outside on the terrace when it is nice outside.
Fantastic meal and place! Love that it’s an old mill. Food was delicious, especially the seared scallops and fried green tomatoes. Excellent all around.
It was a lovely evening to be on the patio. But the rock “music “ was way too loud and spoiled our experience. I did ask the manager to lower the volume and we were able to finish our dinner in relative peace.
Nice place and good service. The food was ok, didn't quite meet my expectations considering the high prices. I much prefer their sister restaurant Tuscarora Mill in Leesburg, same ambience, prices, service but the food is better and a wider selection.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere just right for conversation.
Very good food, great service. We go there regularly (we're local). Great but a little pricey for the area
Whenever we are in the area we make a point of stopping at this wonderful restaurant. The food and service never disappoint. Highly recommend!
Excellent ambiance, food, and service. Dining on the covered patio is terrific, weather permitting.
Wonderful food and drinks.
The steak salad was divine. Drinks and desserts were delicious as well. The other members of my party enjoyed the duck, the smoked chicken pasta, and the Wagyu Smash Burger. They were all excellent! Desserts and drinks exceeded expectations, too. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. Overall, a wonderful choice for an evening of relaxing conversation over delicious food in a warm and inviting setting.
First time here, excellent food and excellent service - seating could have been better, sat next tot he kitchen door and under an a/c vent so had air blowing down on us the whole time - but the food and service definitely made it worth it. Will absolutely go back to try more dishes.
We had lunch there for my wife's birthday. Service was excellent, atmosphere great and had that historic touch which makes us want to return.
Our first visit to this place as we are new to the area. Celebrated her birthday night. Great food with a surprisingly large selection of offerings (for being located in a small town, not a much larger city).
Very good food. Good service. Lights are too low to read the menu. Not up to a 5 star, but good
As always, very enjoyable dining experience and delicious food!
Birthday celebration. Excellent atmosphere and service. Best sweet potato fries ever!
The food was okay but unfortunately it took 15 minutes after being seated for a waitress to come over. Looked like there was some confusion which is understandable but no recognition of our wait. The busboys struggled to bring steak knives with dinner or spoons with dessert. My steak was over cooked (medium well vs medium rare). It was neat that on the menus they wished us a happy anniversary but the server didn’t seem aware of it and didn’t mention it. I’m sure this all sounds “nit pickey” but for fine dining it missed the mark. I’d probably come again for drinks and a burger but not for a special night out.
This is the third time I have dined at Magnolias at the Mill. The menu is diverse. The food is consistently good and very reasonably priced. Service is excellent!
This is the second consecutive trip where the time it took to get our food took much too long. The surprising thing was when we did get our food it was Luke-warm at best. Our server was very pleasant, the food was good when it finally arrived, but it just took way too long.
2 couples enjoyed a lovely evening & our waitress was wonderful!!!
Great ambiance; food spectacular; service a little less so
Magnolias is always on point they have great food, a great bourbon list and a great atmosphere!
Professional, prompt service
Came at lunchtime and it wasn’t crowded—just right. We chose outdoor dining because we are grandparents and don’t want the young unvaccinated grandchildren to catch the virus from us (who are vaccinated). Service was swift, efficient, and fun. We had a great time.
My husband and I enjoyed our evening at Magnolia's at the Mill. We had a quiet, spacious table in their open, airy dining room. Our waiter was professional, and we could take our time without feeling rushed. The food was reasonably good, but not great. For the prices, I would have expected a little better. For example, my crab cakes were tasty, but were rather darkly browned and flat. For $40, I was hoping for something lighter and puffy with lump crab pieces. We agreed that when we recently dined at Tuscarora Mill in Leesburg (which has the same owner as Magnolia's) the food was better and the prices lower.
Liked it so much we came back second time within a week. Food and service were exemplary.
Food, drink, and service is always excellent. Highly recommended.
Exceeded my expectations. I will return. Waiter was amazing and food was fantastic. Nice ambiance as well.
We had a wonderful time. Thank you!
The ambiance was nice and theServer was pleasant but it did take a while to get our drinks and Meals. Also, the meals didn’t come out at the same time. One meal came, then another, and finally the last two. The Truffle fries were delicious.
We called because we were going to be 10 min late. We had a reservation for outdoors. When we’re arrived though, they seated us in the sunroom. Very disappointing since we were especially wanting to sit outside. We bought some friends who’d never been before because we loved the place the first time we visited about eight months ago.
Once again the food was outstanding and so was the service.
I had the grilled scallops and shrimp with the truffle risotto.
My wife and one of my friends had the wagyu burger and our other friend had the mushroom ravioli.
We started out with PEI oysters.
So we’d been there about half an hour, 45 minutes or so and saw that they was still an empty table outdoors.
We were disappointed but at least the sunroom had plenty of natural light.
All in all another great meal but they need to get their reservation system together or at least give consideration when the customer doesn’t get what they requested. A complementary appetizer might’ve been a nice touch.
We will definitely be back though.
Service was pleasant and helpful, but slow (they were shortstaffed, and it was the fourth of July). In the past we were seated in the main room, with lovely old mill ambience, but this time we were in the extra room which is plain. Rack of lamb was delicious, and came with assorted vegetables also excellent.
