Maple & Ash
We had a great time at Maple and Ash, the service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The atmosphere is very chic but not so chic that it makes up for the 450% wine mark up. There is no way that a Grgich Hills 2015 Cabernet should be $195. It’s almost laughable.
I still highly recommend Maple and Ash-just stick to the cocktails!
First time - awesome experience. Shawn is a phenomenal server ! Definitely will be back.
Great food. Better service.
Beyond impressive with the quality, ambience and class of the food and service. The only buffet that supersedes this one is the grande buffet on the Crystal Cruise which is an event in itself My only complaint is that for $65 pp a beverage of coffee or tea should come with the meal. I am not a huge eater so I had no room for the filet and salmon which was a shame. But I was passionate for the baked poached egg with feta, tomatoes, capers and sour dough in a skillet which made up for it. My daughter’s pancake syrup seeped into her roasted potatoes and she found nirvana and ended up getting a whole plate of potatoes and pouring syrup over them...and she’s a grown adult! She wants to return everyday! Still haven’t stopped talking about the experience
awesome food and service! thank you! i will definitely be back.
Perfect Brunch Atmosphere
The waiter declined to clear my brother’s plate when asked although the waiter cleared plates from other tables, and the waiter missed the cup and poured coffee on the table when refilling my friend’s coffee cup, then just left the tablecloth soaked with coffee, without making any effort to clean it up.
The food was fabulous though.
I’ve lived in Chicago for over 3 years and been to Maple & Ash about 10 times. We are always seeking out great spots to dine and bring our many out of town visitors to and this is our go to! I think Maple & Ash is my absolute favorite Chicago restaurant. The food is always fantastic, the service lack for nothing and it’s a beautiful atmosphere.
We had to wait one hour for our reserved table, that was very annoying. No drinks for free as an apologise or likewise were offered. There was no obvious reasons what caused the delay because there were many empty tables. The food was good but prices were too high compared to quality.
Love, love this place and my favorite in Chicago! A MUST to go to while Chicago!
Amazing as always. One of my favorite spots in Chicago. Love the lamb chops, wedge and asparagus
Extremely knowledgeable staff. Great for birthdays or special occasions. Will create a stamped personalized menu for you on your birthday.
One of the best meals and experiences we have had in Chicago! Great place to celebrate an anniversary! Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely perfect way to celebrate the countdown. My fiancé stated it was the best dining experience she has ever had.
Everything was amazing but the elevators did not work, we had to climb 4 flights of stairs!
Beautiful restaurant with top end service. The food was great and so were the drinks.
The food, as always, was fabulous. Our server Michele was fantastic...attentive to every need without hovering. The only downside, and this is a big one...we almost left...was that the elevator was out of order. I have MS and stairs are difficult, my mother, who was dining with us, is asthmatic. That unexpected exertion was almost enough to ruin an otherwise fabulous meal. The restaurant comped an unusual and wonderful dessert...bananas foster over a chocolate sphere encompassing vanilla ice cream. It was both tasty and a show!
Have to hand it to the staff. I am unable to use stairs and the elevator was out. They went above and beyond to accommodate us on the patio. Food was stellar. Service even better. Again cannot applaud the staff enough.
For an upscale establishment the service was lacking big time. The steak was not hot
The comped appetizers that were put on the table were embarrassing. Nothing would have been better.
We had to ask for bread twice.
This was my second time returning and the food and service was just as excellent as the first time.
Amazing anniversary dinner! Excellent service, above expectations! Staff went out of their way to make our experience special and customized to us. Food was excellent.
Great food and service. Wood fired seafood is amazing, dry aged steak was fantastic. Servers were great. Only complaint was it is very loud, and kind of a “scene”. I would Absolutely go back. Maybe not a date night, but with group of couples or a bunch of guys.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago. Definitely recommend the filet and get their take on a banana foster for dessert, you won’t regret it!
Once again, the Maple & Ash team over delivered! Always my first choice when showcasing the Chicago ding scene to my friends.
A good place to have a nice dinner, good service .
I have been before, but I come back because this restaurant is an exceptional steakhouse amongst the crowd of steakhouses in Chicago. The staff is first rate.
My only two comments would be that we felt a little rushed throughout the courses. The waitstaff were very attentive, but we felt rushed. We were asked if we were going to see a show and replied with no, but still felt rushed.
I also would have liked the drawn butter served with the lobster to be continually lit under a flame when dipping.
All in all it was a delicious meal and great service. Pricy but was a nice experience.
The restaurant was everything that I read about and more. My wife and I celebrated my birthday. We ordered the IDGAF and it was an excellent value that I will order again. I ordered an Old Fashioned and the wine pairing as well. I was soon swimming as the IDGAF brought out a shot and a drink. So I had 3 alcoholic beverages in front of me at one point! Lesson learned! The wine was great and the sommelier came out every course and did a great job of explaining the pairing. It was good but I wouldn't do the pairing again. There aren't enough superlatives for the meal. The first course was an oyster topped with Caviar and vodka shooter were great. The Wedge salad with homemade ranch, blue cheese and candied bacon was off the charts served with an incredible lamb chop on the side. The seafood was served in a wok like contraption and about 1/2 way through the seafood the server brought out homemade pasta that was dropped into the seafood infused oil/butter. Incredible! The steak was a really good bone in aged rib eye. We finished with 3 flavors of Home made ice cream and toppings and it was crazy good. Don't hesitate to eat hear and the IDGAF was well worth the $ spent!
Hands down best Filet I’ve ever had. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic! Loved the Blue Cheese accompaniment and the Miatake mushrooms were delicious. French Onion Soup was fantastic. My only criticism would be that the music was too loud and the techno needs to be changed up.
Food was excellent! Service is spectacular.
This was my second time here and it was just as amazing as the first! Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. Mac and cheese was the best thing i’ve ever had!
great service, our server was very knowledgeable about the food and the drinks. Food was brought out quickly and hot and the sides were served onto our plates.
We have heard great things about this restaurant. We finally got in and it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant. Our Waitress Sandra was excellent. She made great recommendations.
This was by far the best restaurant we have visited in a long time. It was the perfect location for a celebratory family dinner. Everyone LOVED it!!!
The service is just spectacular here. The food is delicious though very expensive. Definitely a place for a celebration, not just a normal week night dinner.
Service great. Food eh, I was not wow’d. I have had so much better for the same price!
The best Lamb Chops
Phenomenal experience from the personalized service to the incredible steaks and seafood!
Good ambiance, great experience!
Birthday, was an amazing experience
