This neighborhood Gem knows their Sushi Rolls and how to present them.
Great Very Fresh, presentations with original designs and tastes..
The Maki rolls and Sake selection are wonderfully priced, beating comparable establishments downtown by at least 1/3 the cost.
They take great pride in their presentations and the selection of offering are vast.
Even the Shashimi presentation was beautifully prepared.
But, the sauces and combinations make this a place we will visit again and again with delicious and tasty treats.
Shh - they even have a few tables outside....
The restaurant seemed understaffed during the lunch time with just 2 people waiting tables. We weren’t ready to order in the first 5 min and it was another 15 min before we could get attention to place the order. Non-sushi items were much better than rolls. Highly rec goat cheese tempura salad and spicy ramen.
Food is good, but this is our second time where the service has been really lousy. Waited 15 minutes to be greeted by our server, then had to wait almost 20 minutes between our appetizers and main courses, after being told by our server the food was coming right out. No apologies were offered. They either need to add a couple servers or train their people a little better or both.
Good service. Casual but nice ambience.
Table was sticky when we sat down.
Took 10 minutes for a server to ask us what we wanted to drink...(restaurant was not busy).
Asked 3x for gluten free soy.
Food was ok
I was very disappointed with the overall experience at Miku. The service was slow, the food was mediocre and the ambiance of the restaurant felt like fast casual.
Our server was attentive and fast. She also had good suggestions. We were able to talk at a normal level. We had great food, great drinks and a wonderful time.
Amazing friendly staff. Great menu , has patio , lightly dimmed in a very great Neighborhood , great music playlist in background , highly recommend it for sushi lovers who want to dine in an urban yet elegant restaurant with the kitchen open for you to see how they prepare your dish
Good food and great service. The happy hour prices are fabulous.
Great sushi and if you get there and order before 6pm they have a great deal.
Absolutely love Miku and the happy hour is one of the best! Get the Samuri martini, you won’t regret it!
We started with the Goat Cheese Tempura salad which was very good. 2-3 people can split this and get 1 goat cheese tempura and a couple bites of greens. Was good, could have used more of the pecans. My mom had 3 orders (2 pieces each) of the Sashimi, which were the Maguro, Sake & Unagi, $7 for each piece of 2. That seemed reasonable, although I didn’t taste, she said they were good. I on the other hand had the the Tonkotsu Ramen, was chilly this day and wanted something to warm me up. Broth was not very hot, luke warm, when I stirred, it got a little warmer, so that shows me it was sitting there for awhile before it was served to me. The pork was not very tasty and I wouldn’t really call the slices Pork Belly, they were slices from a small pork roast the you would cook in the oven. I like more of the Ramen style noodles or even rice noodles, these were just regular egg noodles. My fault I didn’t see that when reading description. The broth had sesame oil in it which I find very overwhelming in a broth, I didn’t feel like it tasted like a pork base broth. So for this reason I have to chop this restaurant off my list. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants in the city so would be good if the Ramen was very tasty also.
Good food nice ambiance. Sushi rolls were delicious
Miku is tried and true. Great sushi, fantastic ramen, nice offerings of hot and cold appetizers to round out a meal. Always consistent with friendly, attentive service and fresh delicious food .
Outstanding sushi lunch!
Great service & delicious food!
After reading all of the positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try for a Saturday date night. The restaurant is nice overall. The sushi bar is particularly nice and large. However, there’s no waiting area so as I sat at the sushi bar waiting for my friend the waitress and wait staff just kept giving me weird looks. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant but the noise level was still too much for my taste. The food was absolutely delicious! However, make no mistake, this place is not cheap. Not at all. I recommend you view their online menu for pricing. The waitress who took care of us was very pleasant and poised.
I don't know a TON about sushi, but this was absolutely the best sushi I've ever had. My wife and I would take one bite, and then we'd have to lean back and just sit in the moment before taking another bite, just savoring it. This was a birthday dinner for my wife, and it was thoroughly classy without being stuffy, and the price-point was shockingly low. Will be back to this place a lot.
Solid sushi, and love the S.T.A.Y. maki and garlic edamame.
Great sushi, excellent service, fantastic sake list. Looking forward to coming back again!
Great sushi, and cocktails. Service was wonderful. Will definitely be back.
Food was fresh. We made it in before 6pm for the 1/2 price rolls. They were all very good!
Had a great date night with my wife at Miku. I had the spicy garlic ramen. It was fantastic! We were able to hang out and talk after our dinner was finished and didn't feel pressured to leave.
Nice rolls. Good ramen.
Good sashimi. What else
Great first experience here, I've lived in the area for a while and never had a chance to pop in until this weekend. Very impressed; the sushi was great, fresh and flavorful but also reasonably priced, the service was great too. We will definitely return!
Our server was great, the food was late. She gave us a free glass of wine. The food itself was quite good. Very fresh, very tasty! Considering it was Valentine's day, a slow kitchen was not so surprising.
Very friendly attentive service and lovely wait staff
Always great service, presentation, and value (during happy hour!!
I had higher expectations after seeing the good ratings. The fish is not fresh. The rolls that had a lot of sauce or spices to cover the fish tasted fine, and salmon skin roll was fine. But something like Rainbow roll didn’t work because the raw fish was not fresh. We had sashimi which really showed the lack of freshness of the fish.
We had the tonkotsu ramen — it was okay, not amazing. Wasabi is the best.
They had a kabocha crab soup which was very good. The bacon wrapped scallops and the cerviche were decent as well.
Beautiful sushi, lovely atmosphere, great neighborhood and friendly staff. They are happy to veganize the veggie rolls.
Food and drinks are fabulous here with lots of variety. Service is great too. One of my favorite sushi places.
Great service. Large cuts of fish
The service, food and vibes was amazing! Great price range and such a cozy little area
Super great sushi and great service. Quick service since we heading to an event.
Great sushi place for regular visits
The food is fresh and good -- not among the city's best by any means, but satisfying for a neighborhood sushi restaurant. Ambiance is nice but marred by a giant television over the sushi bar -- a strange choice that makes this restaurant unacceptable for a date night or special occasion. That said, if your expectations are reasonable and you can overlook the giant television, then you'll probably enjoy this restaurant. Value is fantastic if you come before 6 PM most nights.
The food was very good. I just wish that they had had brown rice as an option
We unknowingly arrived just in time for the early bird special. Our waitress was excellent and made sure we had a chance to order our second round of cocktails before the early bird special expired. An incredibly fresh, tasty meal at an exceptional price! Will def be back!!
Always great food at Miku! The Wandering Woman martini is a must try!! I will be back!!!
Miku Sushi was fantastic! Our waitress was really, really nice and very attentive. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and they brought him out a delicious chocolate lava cake for dessert. It even had "Happy Birthday" written on the plate and there was a candle. The food was fantastic and the wine was great, too. We're relatively new to the neighborhood and this will now be our "go-to" sushi spot! Thank you, Miku!
